I wish I could remember the young lady's name from Brooklyn, NY, but she gave exceptional service. Def a fellow Brooklynite. She helped do a Change of Address for my son. He had to do an in-person identification at the Post Office in Virginia, but he is currently in NYC. The Kempsville location said that I would have to go to NYC and take my son to the PO to identify him in person smh lol. All I had to do at this location was show my ID and bring his birth certificate, which makes a lot more sense. I was in and out within 5min. No lines. read more

What a fabulous experience I just had. Was super surprised by all the negative remarks online. The two ladies there helped me tremendously, we're very knowledgeable of the area that they were working in, and had contacts on their phone too quickly solve other people's problems. For example, a lady walked in and didn't have a key for her box for her apartment complex. The ladies behind the desk were well aware of the apartment complex, made a phone call to the maintenance department, and got her all figured out. read more

Weird, funky post office in strip mall between a Hair Cuttery and a Rainbow clothing shop. This space was rundown, floors cracking, broken lights, tattered mats, dingy and dirty. Supplies were strewn everywhere, boxes and envelopes were helter-skelter on counters and on the ground. It was a mess. The lines were long and service was slow... slow... If you need mail services, there's another post office nearby so keep driving. I'd definitely pass this shabby, charmless, poorly maintained building in the future. read more

Made my way into this Post Office because it was convenient. I was mailing a package, entered an empty post office with two young ladies working behind the counter. Not one word was said to me, instead they spoke only to each other, conversation with only each other! Rude! Bad customer service! Please hire professional people that have customer service skills. read more

My daughter inlaw was trying to send me a package and ask for a large box. The female at the desk was not helpful at all and had my daughter inlaw waiting 2 minutes on line before she call on her...What post office does not have large boxes...Very poor customer service...This post office needs to be audited considering all the negative reviews! I came here on 27 July 2020 @ around 10AM. Pathetic experience. I watched the only woman at the front at the time (long braids/tall/black) speak to everyone she was helping in such a demeaning manner. Almost as if she's angry at the customers for working there. An older man walked in (missed the SMALL & barely noticeable sign that said 3 customers in lobby at a time only) and she yelled at him with an awful attitude. He was behind me- he also noticed and commented on her foul attitude. Could've handled that better. I get to the front and I tell her I am here for a package pickup. She just stares at me and goes "okaaay.. i need something like??" ... WHAT? **First of all, if YOU work there, YOU need to tell me what YOU need FROM ME to find the package that YOU will be looking for. She proceeded with her poor attitude. Got my address and went back to look for it for about 2 minutes. Comes back and says "there's nothing back there at all. No package" and once again, just stares at me. Okay... so? What now right? Good customer service always re-directs you to the next step right? Nope not here. I told her well, with my tracking number, I was told that this was the location. She laughed and said " okay I'm not saying your package isn't here but... okay let me just get your tracking number" ... I wrote it down and she snatches the paper from me and goes back again. Comes back and says wrong location. Okay.... so I ask do you have the correct location? Clearly a hiccup on their end which is FINE it happens right? With her trash attitude she says no and blabs on. I told her off because like I said, you will not speak to me like I'm a dummy. If you're angry at the world, or angry at your pay, or angry at your job or your bank account, COOL, but it's not the customers fault. That attitude needs to be at McDonald's taking drive through orders because DAMN. USPS must be desperate for employees because they're running on bottom of the barrel ones right now. Horrible customer service Hire better employees! I stopped at this post office as I was nearby. I wanted to ship a large package as I regularly ship at any other post office. Place was empty with two young ladies on the counters. As soon as they saw the package, they both said it was too large to ship. I explained that I regularly ship these and should be fine. Rudely one of them said: "that's cause they don't measure them" I asked her to measure it please and she was coming up with outrageous measurements. The package measured 31"x28"x 6" she needs to learn to measure USPS Retail Ground pieces may measure up to 130 inches in combined length and girth (but will be charged oversized prices). Regardless of the size of the mailpiece, the maximum mailable weight of any mailpiece is 70 pounds. Some classes of mail have lower weight limits. read more

I arrived when they opened today to try and intercept my mail, the usps tracker said it had showed up yesterday evening. I wanted to get to it before the couriers so I wouldn't have to wait all day for it to be delivered. The lady I spoke with was rude and unhelpful, and told me I couldn't pick my mail up because it was already out with a courier to be delivered. Turns out it wasn't even marked as being out for delivery until 2:50 so that was a total lie. Now it's 7:45 and I doubt my package will even show today or tomorrow since tomorrow is Sunday. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid and she wouldn't even look my mail up. Also witnessed another female employee being short and condescending to a customer asking questions and generally avoiding doing her job. Go somewhere else if possible read more

Very small selection of box and parcel sizes. Women behind the counter were not helpful. Had to stand in line to ask for general packing materials (tape, pen, etc) several times before I was able to send out my care package. read more

Zero forms in the lobby so you cannot fill anything out until you get to the actual checkout counter which makes your wait 10x longer. During the busiest time of day they only had 2 people working. read more

If you're not helped by Tonya you're wasting your time, I ship a lot of packages to random locations and I've gone to the other 2-3 employees at the counter and I often get conflicting information and a "I'm tired and want to go home" feel. Tonya on the other hand...is the only employee knowledgable on just about ever shipping option and process. She's also the only employee that answers the phone, she's never unkind or snooty, always down to earth, helpful and overall very understanding. This location always has all of its shipping boxes and envelopes stocked, there's not much counter space, and the customer service area is pretty small so don't come here at the end of the day/end of the week or around the holidays, it's can get pretty nuts. read more
