I have had multiple bad experiences with one female employee over the past couple years I have gone to the Wethersfield post office. She is incredibly condescending, unhelpful, and rude. Like most people going to the post office, I went during my only free time during the week to renew my passport and was met with utter rudeness. I was told I had to schedule an appointment online when online it told me to come into the office. The instructions for this process are really confusing as most U.S. post office processes are. She would not help me understand this process or help me schedule an appointment. Whenever my father has dealt with this woman he has had nothing but good experiences with her customer service. I am angered and disappointed by this blatant unequal treatment of customers. This woman needs to be checked out. read more

Probably one of the most depressing looking places in all of Wethersfield! The customer service is also deplorable. The staff is so unhappy and miserable and appears to relish in customers confusion when they need certain things explained. Go elsewhere if you are in need of passport processing...you'll thank me! This Wethersfield post office needs big time restructuring, they are useless and the customer service is seriously lacking. I have made three complaints and they have put zero effort into resolving. Sometimes the mail is delivered, but most of the time it doesn't get to us - they have been marked returned to sender, not deliverable as addressed, unable to forward - someone there has made the sole decision to not mail as addressed, ever heard of a post office that doesn't deliver mail to the addressee, well look no further. In my opinion, this is a serious offense for a mail carrier/worker to not deliver the mail where it's addressed especially during these work from home times, where you are able to work from any location. Have no problems receiving mail at other wfh locations, however, this branch goes out of the way to not do its job. read more

Im with everyone else, its easier to hit the Lottery then to get ANY state postal service employee to pick up the phone Except Rocky Hill, If I didn't have to live here I would move back to Rocky Hill or Glastonbury only TWO towns out of 2 States CT & Tenn that I have had to deal with Pathetic NON answering Post Offices In Tennessee and this one Town Nashville out of 3 post offices there the only one that answered a phone was the College Campus at Vanderbilt, just wrong!--- they wonder why we hate going there and cant stand postal workers!! My husband and I just went to the Wethersfield Post Office this afternoon to apply for a new Passport and to Renew an existing one. WORST Customer Service Experience in my 4-lifetime renewals (2-overseas at Embassies; 1 in the NYC Area!). LEAST informed "Agents", LEAST qualified and MOST INACCURATE information; HORRIBLE attitude ("know-it-all" and "irrefutable"), yet 100% INCORRECT! In addition to being given INACCURATE information regarding a name-change by marriage for renewing a Passport via Form DS-82 for standard submission, we were challenged on requesting a 52-page passport book (the option is for those who frequently travel abroad during the passport validity period, and recommended for applicants who have previously required the addition of visa pages - which I HAVE). I was told to, "BE QUIET," because I had asked or questioned "Marianne;" and when we requested to speak to a supervisor - "SONYA" first said 10-minutes; then said the Supervisor was not available (apparently a "float" position). I suggested going somewhere else - and "Marianne" said "Yes - GO TO ANOTHER POST OFFICE; NOT HERE." In addition to REFUSING SERVICE - she threatened to call the Wethersfield Police Department and to have us escorted out of the building because we challenged the "Agents" and "know everything." News FLASH: I just got off the phone with the Unites States PASSPORT SERVICE (which "Marianne" claims she speaks to regularly and backs her irrefutable knowledge." Yeap - THEY were somewhat annoyed, apologized and submitted a formal complaint on my behalf. These "Agents" lack knowledge, training, and understanding of the Application Process (that can be gained from simply following the simple, straight-forward check boxes on the forms) and Customer Service skill. They completely misunderstand the REQUIREMENTS of the Passport Process and provide WRONG information on what to do and why. We went to a neighboring Post Office and waited while another Client completed her transaction. Despite an apparent issue with the application - the Post Office Clerk was thoughtful, polite and informative. That Postal Clerk also gave completely DIFFERENT information (consistent with the Application Materials and the National Passport Service) regarding requirement. The Clerk noted that it is NOT the first time that people have come to their office and complained. Perhaps this Post Office is a viable branch for stamps, packages and the like, but I would NOT recommend that you complete your US Passport Application there, unless you want to follow "Marianne's Rules" and subject yourself to HER interpretation of US Department of State Rules & Regulations ... which the National Passport Service has CONFIRMED IS INCORRECT. read more

This location is good but the females workers in there are horrible they treat immigrants very rudely , I am an educated immigrant with three degrees so I would not go low in their level but I wanted to post this here to tell other immigrants who probably receive the same treatment from them to not let them get to you. They are uneducated with 0 customer service and have a miserable life living and yes they are fat and ugly so let them leave their miserable life while you enjoy your success. Rudest employees I've ever experienced. I've been here about 4 times now for various things, and I keep telling myself to give them a chance but no matter who helps me I always walk out of there shaking my head. They all seem like they would rather be unemployed than working there- if they're not giving attitude then they're complaining. Try to ask a question and get a rude response where they make it seem like you asked a really dumb question...correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure post office logistics are not common knowledge. I go here often as I send my grandson packages often and I've always received excellent customer service. Very helpful and courteous.

Would give 0 stars if able to. Where else do you let someone who is not prepared, stand at the front of the line and tie up everyone else while they address their mail. Also, with the passport feature you lose a line for a long process. Should be someone else hiding in the back to come out and handle a passport without tying up a clerk. It is no wonder that the USPS is having a hard time staying in business. Just try and have a package picked up. I called the Wethersfield branch at least 5 times yesterday and let the phone ring more than 20x each call with NO answer. When I finally did get through the employee seemed very annoyed at me for requesting a package pick up. "Can't you go online and do this?" He said. My answer was "No, I can not" I didn't feel the need to explain that I am having some electrical repairs done so my electricity was off for the day and I had no internet. Well here it is at 10:45 pm on day two and the package is still on my front steps. This thing weighs at least 40 lbs and is too heavy for my regular post man. I should pick it up myself and put it in his truck but honestly I should. It have to. If the postage wasn't pre-paid I would just call UPS. Huge disappointment. Non-existent customer service. Shame on these lazy government workers. They clearly do. It deserve whatever wages and benefits they are making. read more
