Wouldn't recommend. If I could give ZERO stars I would…read more Mrs.Fleming is a horrible teacher that cares more for students appearance, than their education. I am Extremely disappointed in how student concerns are handled at Silicon Valley Career Technical Education. When issues involving an instructor were raised, administration minimized the situation and demanded excessive "proof" rather than taking the concerns seriously. This response shows a lack of accountability and poor leadership. A school should protect students, not dismiss them. Families should think carefully before enrolling.

My high school fell for that scam, I attended this "school" where the administrators didn't know the subjects their teachers were teaching (and that's according to both teachers that I had). Only to finish with the highest score on the final and be denied the certificate I was being promised the whole year, with no excuse given at the time other than the teacher claiming he couldn't figure out how to use the printer to give it to me. That was in 2012, I've contacted the school and teacher many times over the years, and they both have the exact same story: "We neither have the ability nor authority to grant you that certificate. It's the teacher (according to the school) it's the school (according to the teacher) who has that authority, please contact them with this request." I only stopped contacting them after learning (2nd hand from a former student) that their "certificates" are nothing more than pieces of paper lacking proper accreditation. In the end, I only missed out on after-school activities because of this scam, but I can't imagine how horrible it would be for an adult to be scammed out of their tuition fees for literally nothing.

She explains concepts clearly, makes sure everyone understands the material, and is very patient when answering questions. What makes her stand out is how hands-on she is during clinical and skills practice--she takes the time to demonstrate procedures thoroughly and helps students build confidence step by step. Her teaching style makes learning easier and less stressful, and she creates a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking for help. I appreciate how dedicated, knowledgeable, and encouraging she is, and I feel very fortunate to have her as an instructor.

Where do I begin sharing my journey of being a nursing student, to now being a licensed vocational nurse? First and foremost, I have to respectfully start of by thanking my team: Joyce-- Who was my AMAZING student representative, my guide and my stepping stone into the VN program. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, for assisting me into the VN program, with ease, poise, support and a full understanding that I was going to be a successful nurse in the future. I can't stress this enough when I say, I sincerely appreciate you for all you've done, from getting me enrolled to Pre-Reqs, to getting me into an unbelievable Cohort (SJ 8) and to always checking in with me throughout my nursing school journey. You played a huge role in my success and I will never stress that enough. Rita-- Who was my FINANCIAL AID representative. Thank you for being able to answer all my questions in regards to financially covering all my school expenses within a timely manner. Thank you for always being so patient, quick with my questions and concerns, but also for believing in me to complete the VN program as well. You definitely were a support system and making sure I had the financial backing to get through this program in smooth sailing. Emily-- Who was my VN Academic Assistant Coordinator. Thank you so much for making sure all my ducks were lined up in a row. From making sure all my health documents were up to date and or making sure my overall wellbeing was taken care as well too! You've continuously shown your support in my nursing journey and have always made sure I was being supported in any capacity! I want to to say thank you so much for always being there for me! ***Notable shout out to Mary & Zach as well! You three are awesome and deserving of the best! & now the best part, to my instructors and role models: Ms. Lauri, Ms. Marguerite, Ms. Wong, Ms. Finck, Ms. Sovela, Mr. Neil, Ms. Relos, Ms. Kat, Ms. Katherine & Ms. Sindhu-- Thank you all individually, for not only shaping me to be a great future nurse, but also teaching me what it truly means to being a nurse. From clinical's, skills labs to in class lectures, or even helpful advice in the halls, you all have contributed to my success today and I have so much gratitude in my heart for each and every one of you. Thank you so much! ***THEY DESERVE THE RECOGNITION & A HUGE RAISE AS WELL! LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, THE ONE THE ONLY, THE MOST RESPECTED EVER, MR TRAVIS COLBY. Oh my, where do I even begin? I'm going to try my best to not cry as I express my genuine appreciation for this amazing instructor, but also human being. Mr. Colby, has been the most professional, supportive, caring, kind, understanding, yet respectfully unapologetic and influential nurse I ever met. He has been very consistent in his career especially when it comes to teaching not only myself, but many past amazing nurses of his time. Truthfully, Mr. Colby has always pushed me to my true limits and all I can really say is, I always have appreciated him for it. He always believed in me from the start of the program, to even now. He has definitely played a huge role in why I'm so proud to be a nurse now, but also a successful one! If there's one thing Mr. Colby has always taught me is that, to be a nurse is a privilege and honor. And to now be a part of a well respected profession, that I get to proudly be part of and is now my career, I couldn't have asked for a better role model to lead me to my path of nursing. With that being said, Mr. Colby, I genuinely appreciate you for all the experiences, support & knowledge you've shared with me. I will forever cherish them and utilize what you taught me, towards my nursing career! FOR FUTURE NURSING STUDENTS: If you're truly passionate, committed and willing to become a nurse, you can make your dreams a reality. Be ready to make sacrifices, go through the ups and downs of life and truthfully, unlock your inner being of what it means to be a 'nurse'. --Nurse Alina

I came here as a patient of their free dental clinic:…read morehttps://carrington.edu/location/san-jose-dental-hygiene-clinic/ My dental insurance at the time was being a pain in the ass, so I decided to look for cheaper alternatives - they happen to do cleanings for free. I was recruited personally by a dental hygiene student, as it seems they are in dire need of patients. When I first entered the clinic, all of the seats were taken up by people, so I was amazed that they seemed to be actively recruiting for patients, essentially. When I got my screening and assessment, I got an inkling as to why. Basically, the students need to do an exam on a live patient in order to pass for their certification, but a patient needs to meet very specific criteria in order to be used... I happen to have been one of them. Yes, everything is free, but it's balanced out by the time that you need to spend there. For example, the student performs dental scaling, notes down their observations, and then they need to wait for their instructor to come and do it again and make their confirmations or corrections. I had a good time working with my dental hygienist in-training, as she was very approachable, communicative, and informative. I learned a lot about dental work through her! I stopped going because I wasn't comfortable with multiple people working on my mouth (mainly happened because multiple students wanted to pass their test using me), I had other life issues that occurred at the same time, it was rough on me to spend the time to commute back and forth to San Jose, and their scheduling availability was not the most ideal. They seemed to only have a morning and afternoon session, each of which can take up to 4 hours. If you happen to be in a situation where you need a free dental screening, cleaning, or deep cleaning, and have time on your hands, I think this is a fine opportunity to explore.

This is for the Autobody Repair and Welding night courses only…read more The autobody repair with McTaggert was great. Structured classes. Takes you from banging out dents to welding holes and body filler. No paint in this class. If you are looking for job training then I wouldn't recommend the evening class as you wont learn/practice enough to become job proficient. I would assume his day class would get you there though. He is thorough and supportive. If you are like me who wants to learn for a personal project it is perfect. The welding course is good if you have had a bit of welding experience. It is very self directed and you only get feedback if you ask. The supply of equipment and materials makes it worth the fee alone. If you are willing to do a bit of out of class studying (youtube/welding books/forums) and apply it in class you will benefit immensely from this class. I spent all 4 months at the tig bench and sometimes prepped materials at home (and welded too-I bought a tig shortly after class started because I knew I liked it once I tried)so I can better use my time. After 4 months most people asked if I welded for a living.

The learning plan is tailored to the individual needs of your child. My son happened to learn without any pressure in this kind of setup. He went from mid-5th grade level to nearly finishing the 7th grade level now in about 7 months time. In a previous year, we had tried a different Math school that is more of a classroom kind of setup with 2 hrs of instruction. It did not work for him and we had to withdraw him from the program. While that was definitely a great place in terms of the curriculum and teachers, the classroom format just didn't work for my child. Big shout out to the center director Miguel. Really appreciate the flexibility with scheduling. There have been times when we had to cancel last minute OR even ask if there was a slot available the same evening. They have been very accommodative with our requests. Mathnasium team recently had a multi-center math competition. That was a fun exercise and I think more than anything, it was a fun event where kids could learn and enjoy Math.

Great student to instructor ratio, so your child will be helped immediately with instant feedback. Can't wait to see what my student and Mathnasium can achieve at the end of the school year!

Naturally, I freaked out and we began seeking options to figure out how to test the linoleum and adhesive attached to it for asbestos. After being quoted CRAZY amounts of money for testing that would take 7-10 days by a couple other companies, my husband luckily found Gio and ERT. Gio took the time to speak extensively with both of us about our risks and what next steps to take to do testing. He calmed me down and helped me understand the nature of asbestos - he was empathetic and caring about our situation, did not rush me off the phone or belittle me for being concerned. You could tell he really cared AND at the same time was super knowledgable about his field. Within 2 days, we had our results back for a VERY reasonable cost.
