They have a great selection of beer and even have have a Pick 6 option which is great for people like me who appreciate variett and can never make up their mind. The customer service is always awesome and anytime Boyfriend isn't with me, someone always takes my purchases to my car, which I love! Now, with the COVID 19 pandemic, I've seen a lot of questioning, aka griping, about why beer distributors are considered essential. I'm not even going to pretend to understand why they are, though part of me can't fathom begrudging any independent, small business being allowed to be open with the dark cloud of financial crisis looming over our heads. Quite possibly the rudest and most ignorant staff ever encountered. I was visiting from out of…read morestate and went in the store with three other locals. Each of us purchased something different. Only two of us were ID'd at the registered. Of course my out of state ID required a more in-depth inspection as expected. However, I am 26, and this was an unexpired, good condition, license from a Real ID State (NC). An employee, who was younger than me I might add, snapped my license in half to the point where it was only held together by lamination and then told me it would not scan properly. I wonder why?!. According to the employee it is PA policy to bend ID's to the point of breaking and then scan them. ??? The emoloyees we're quite unapologetic and inconsistent with they're explanation of why this happened. To the point where it was not worth the time and effort to argue with them. The rest of the weekend I visited at least 15 establishments in the area each of which sold and/or served alcoholic beverages. Each time I was ID'd, most of the time scanned, with my broken license and allowed to stay and partake in festivities. In fact, two days after the incident, I returned to the same store and wasn't even carded when purchasing more beer! Why was only part of our party carded? Why was only my ID bent? Why didn't they scan it first? Why did EVERY OTHER ESTABLISHMENT have no issue with my ID, whether scanning or visual? Why wasn't I carded two days later by other employees? This establishment's employees and manager clearly lack any knowledge of driver's licenses from any state other than PA. Additionally they showed inconsistency with their carding policy and an overlaying disrespectful attitude toward customers. But hey, great selection though.
