After 3 months of waiting, I called numerous times. Finally on third call they said they were in for painting. They came and installed about a week or so later. Upon install they installed separate shutters for each pane removing the ability to open blinds up for full window view. Thus, removing my great view of the valley. When asked why they did not install the bi-fold/tri-fold original design they said they do not do those. When asking for a remedy they said there is nothing they can do. They said they could uninstall but would keep my 60% deposit and insisted I pay remainder without discount. Miscommunication happens, I get it! Yet, the unwillingness to accept responsibility or workout an equitable remedy is unconscionable! The wood blinds are decent quality and the price was reasonable. We would keep the thermostat at 70°in the summer and it never shut off. When it would the house would heat up quickly and it was back on again. This summer, after the shutters were installed, we have noticed a significant improvement in the temperature despite higher outside temperatures. We keep the thermostat at 75 to 76° and it doesn't run constantly as before. I am very impressed at the impact it has had on the comfort of our home. We just got a bill from Rocky Mountain power and it compared last July to this year's use and it was significantly lower this July despite warmer temperatures. Aside from the impressive cooling, Utah Shutters does quality work and has the best prices.

We were sold a product that was supposed to allow future motorization, which turned out to be untrue. After installation, we requested to motorize additional blinds based on what we were told. They took our payment, but weeks later informed us that our shades weren't actually designed for motorization, causing further delays. We also noticed troubling line item details. We purchased our own Somfy hub based on their line item cost of $430, yet the price they charged included a "professional setup" fee that was never disclosed in the proposal so we only got back a portion of the amount. Buyer beware. Communication from the office was extremely poor -- no proactive updates, and we constantly had to reach out just to know what was happening. To be fair, the service and field support teams were great to work with (Bram, Seth, Michael), but the overall experience with the office staff (McKay - sales, and Darcy - billing) was horrific. They showed up unannounced with not us or our plumber knowing they were coming. They didn't cover anything, but threw mud and water all over my furnace, utility panels, walls, and cabinets in my downstairs kitchen. they decided they wanted to haul the debris out of a bedroom window and destroyed the carpet and scratched and took chunks out of the window shutters. They traipsed dirt and mud all over my hardwood floors and left a mess that took my wife and me over 5 hours to clean up. Then when they were done, they presented me with an invoice that was $1,000 over their estimate. I called and spoke to the owner, Ronnie, and his solution was to have the kid that did this to my house call and be a jerk. They have zero respect for your house and property. To top it all off, they didn't even fully finish the job. Now we get to rent a Jack hammer to finish the areas they didn't do. I would recommend looking somewhere else.
