Barber Shop in several years, but due to my experience with another barbershop that will go unnamed (if they're reading this, they know who they are), I looked to greener pastures. It's very clear that this place is old-school. Like, REALLY old-school. You'll notice the old-timey spinning striped pole out front, the place is about as big as a comfortable living room, and the place is adorned with touches like Maple Leafs memorabilia, a garish green color scheme and uncomfortable metal seats for you to wait on. I was fortunate to not have to deal with any line when I went in, but the experience was awfully strange. The owner (an older gentleman with a huge mustache) didn't say one word to me when I walked in. He looked at me, offered a brief nod and turned back to watch television. His son (at least, I think that's the owner's son) was the one who handled the cut. Instead of facing towards the standard desk/mirror combo, I spent the entire time he was cutting looking towards the opposite wall and the waiting seats, where the owner sat three feet in front of me watching television on a wall to his left (my right). It made for a somewhat uncomfortable experience. The cut was better than I was expecting, and they did a couple nifty touches like using heat-sealing to create a more noticeable part in my hair (I asked for short on the sides and longer on top). That said, feeling the back of my hair as I write this, I'm not sure the guy who cut my hair was all that accurate. It still feels a bit uneven and unkempt, even though the hairline on the back of my neck is even. The strangest part is that this place apparently still works on the honor system. They only take cash and there's no debit machine, so I had to walk down the street to an ATM in a convenience store. On one hand, maybe they're not making enough to just the debit fees that something like Moneris would ding them with, but it makes them look archaic and out-of-date. I was surprised that they had enough faith in me to return with cash. That said, my experience here was decent for a "first" time, and I'd probably be back again. There are a few aspects that should be addressed for the future, though.

They are both amazing at what they do. Lisa is a master w color. She has taken me from light to dark and back again with the patience of a saint, bc I can be very indecisive. As the other review mentioned, she is the best at bayalage and ombré. Antonella gives precision cuts and blow outs and also does great job styling for special occasions. The salon is lovely, quaint and cozy in Lorne Park. I'd follow these women anywhere!
