He asked me why I had chosen it, and seemed shocked at my answer. He didn't understand how I could trust something as important as a hair-cut to Yelp reviews. But the reviews proved accurate. He was both incredibly precise in how he managed my haircut, and so much fun to talk to with his great sense of humor and patience for my awkward Turkish. The one thing I'm genuinely sorry and sad about it, is that his haircut grew out so well that I never had a chance to go back to him during the four months that remained for me in Turkey. If I get a chance to go back to Istanbul, I'll schedule an appointment! Highly recommend.

Either the stylist straightens my hair by default or uses an enormous brush creating waves that fall flat and miss the mark. I have very thick long hair and he blow dried me with an inch width brush making soft lovely waves. No stylist has ever come close to creating such beauty as he did.
