Not only do we leave with great fresh "prime" fish, which is not sold in many fishmongers, but we get some fresh air while walking down the Coal pier, feed the seals with fish supplied by The Quay and have great memories as a family, most children hate going shopping but mine would go crazy if I went here without them!

But be careful of the merchants who insist on picking the fruit for you! I once came home with over 20 rotten bananas and several squashed kiwis. Even though I only paid something like 3 Euro, I was disappointed because I had to throw most of the fruit out. A friend of mine swears that the market's fishmonger is the best and told me to buy oysters from him so I guess there are good and bad stalls. Even if you don't actually need to buy anything, I suggest you saunter down this street. The funny things that I have overheard from these Dubs could fill the pages of a book.
