It is a modern place and is being expanded to include ever more state-of-the-art treatments. All staff I have had contact with have always been polite, friendly, helpful and professional. Everyone seems to be happy to be at work and to care about the work they do. Like many district generals this hospital suffers precisely because it is a DGH, and has no 'sexy' departments like cardiac surgery, major trauma or transplant unit. It just gets on doing the day to day donkey work that is the bread and butter of the NHS. The food is fine, not *****, but it's a hospital, not fine dining. Everywhere seems clean and hand washing points are everywhere for everyone to use. Infection rates here are low. Maybe not the best hospital in the world, but certainly a hospital that the staff and people of Lincolnshire can be proud of.

There's a large waiting area with plenty of toys, and several consultation rooms. The chirpractor that I saw was professional, friendly, and best of all actually seemed to know what he was doing: always a bonus if they're about to try and snap your neck in two. Plenty of parking outside, and nice clean modern buildings. Highly recommended.
