I spent a half day at this spa at the recommendation of a few locals on a cold February afternoon. While I enjoyed my time I wish the hot tubs were a warmer water temperature and that they posted the hourly specials (like chocolate mud masks) in English as well as German. The bar serves very reasonable drinks (both alcoholic and non) though the biggest thing to be aware of - when they say "textile free" that does mean absolutely no clothes allowed in the saunas or pools!

This is still one of the best spa experiences available, but this time there were far more people... Including loud people, people spitting in the shower, and any other number of things you might expect (or *not* expect at all!) with a larger crowd so it detracted from the quality of relaxation possible. On the other hand, the spa now offers more frequent sauna exfoliation among other scheduled rituals, so that was nice
Known locally as a great date spot, it looked like that on my venture with a friend, but there was also the occasional solo and older patron. Bring your own towel and tongs to save a penny but get the robe if you don't have one you like from home. Everyone is naked in the multiple dry and hot saunas, and the indoor outdoor pools but you must travel in-between in a robe or towel. As to atmosphere, think high end polynesian village. read more

"Warning: Fraud attempt by staff! On 14.01.2026, I was charged on receipt no. 5029941 for a massage I did not receive (€54.50) and two 'tips' I never authorised (€186.60), in what appears to be a deliberate act. The incident has been reported in detail to the police (criminal complaint filed). Management has failed to respond to my complaint despite a formal deadline. I strongly advise against visiting this spa and recommend everyone check their receipts carefully. Proof photo of the receipt is attached." https://ibb.co/XkMZk4xP read more

This place is just great!! I've been to Liquidrom and this is FAR superior in every way!! It's a large spa resort in the middle of Berlin, not just a bldg with a few small sauna rooms. You walk in and the registration desk looks like a hotel reception area not a tiny counter. The main bldg is a large 2 floor lodge with wood appointments, a million recliners, a full sit down restaurant, a large indoor pool, and at least 5 large sauna. There are several relaxation rooms with large comfy chairs and even "beds" to nap. Leave your clothes in a locked locker and off you go. Go outside and there are more loungers, open huts in the grassy area, several pools, and another 4 or 5 saunas. There were a lot of people but it never felt crowded. Everyone is very relaxed. No clothes, no staring, and no awkwardness. You can certainly wear a rented bath robe while walking around (required in the restaurant). Some do, some don't. Body types of all shapes and sizes. If you don't read German, get someone to help with the schedule for free aromatherapy sessions in the saunas. I got lucky and walked into one as it was about to begin. It's was great. I was there for 3hrs and wanted to stay longer. The most relaxing experience ever and the best $40 I've ever spent!! read more

Lost €119 "due to illness and other organizational reasons" which is their Force Majoure clause. Booked massage 2 months in advance and showed up in time. Not normal business but I guess they are doing extremely well without me or my family. read more

Beautifully decorated and clean. The staff are friendly. Would definitely go back when I'm in Berlin.

I am back in Berlin for the week and decided to treat myself to a few spa experiences. During my research I honed in on 2 spas in particular (and I'll write a review for both) - Liquidrom and Vabali. I went to Vabali first, and Liquidrom second. Vabali - The Spa is a fairly decent walk from Berlin Hauptbahnhof. I'd recommend stopping by the Aldi nearby to stock up on drinks and food, versus paying the prices in the spa. Upon entering the large complex, you'll receive a wrist band that unlocks your locker. They have locker rooms that are camera protected, or you can opt for one without. After getting undressed (this place is nude only), towel wrapped around you go take a shower. They have a decent premium shower gel to use, or you can bring your own. After showering I started to walk around the compound. I was a bit confused of the layout for a little bit. This place is pretty big, with multiple saunas inside, and outside. It also has tons of seating and quite places to relax. There's an inside pool, and a larger outside pool to relax as well. I started just randomly go into a few saunas, and enjoyed myself, but the real fun began once I figured out the Aufguss schedule (infusions with scents that are very popular). They alternate an infusion every half hour between an inside Sauna and an outside Sauna, so plenty of infusions to join. I went on a Tuesday and was there for about 3 hours in the morning/lunch time. It was pretty crowded, so I can only imagine what this place is going to be during the evenings. I joined 3 different infusions during my time here, and they were definitely the highlight of my time there, as they all were very different but nice. If you're considering to go to a spa in Berlin, I'd highly recommend this place. I also reviewed the Liquidrom (and please feel free to read that review, but TL:DR - avoid and come here instead). I'd come back here for sure. Now that I understand the place a bit more, I think I could enjoy it a bit more as well. read more

The most incredible, safe and relaxing spa experience in my LIFE! Delicious food also and love the masks. No one is weird or creepy or unwell. Complimentary snacks and warm drinks in the entry line so it went by fast. read more

Be careful with Vabali Spa VOUCHERS. I received one voucher as a birthday gift from my company but ended up losing the paper. As the colleague who bought the voucher no longer works for the company and we do not have contact with her, Vabali Spa stated that the voucher is LOST. It seems very fishy that in 2024 there is no other form of control than a printed A4 paper. BE CAREFUL! VORSICHT! read more

This is an amazing place. It will help if you at least understand German, although some staff members speak English. The signs are in German, so if you want to know what's going on in each room, maybe bring a German-speaking person with you. Also, be prepared to be naked. You can wear a robe or a towel between saunas, but they are "fiber-free." There's a bar, and food is also available. There are a few lovely looking lounge beds near the bar, but they are probably hard to get since no seats can be reserved. Maybe get there first thing in the morning? It's best to make a reservation, otherwise you will probably have to wait in line. (They brought us tea, which was unexpected and very kind.) You get a bracelet when you check in that tracks any expenses you incur as well as the time you spend and then you pay accordingly as you leave. The setting is beautiful, even though I was there on a grey, rainy fall day. I'd love to go back, but I don't know when I'll be in Berlin again. There's a small parking lot. read more

This is still the best Spa I've seen so far. But I'm sorry to say - I've been a regular guest for many years now and the price-performance-ratio has become worse every year. They raise the entrance fee now and then but lower the service. Back in the days you received small extras (like cremes for different treatments, bread spread, little treatments themselves, etc.) that made you feel very welcome and cared for. Now they charge you for every little extra. Which means you already pay a higher entrance fee. But once you are inside you pay extra for every small bit. So why the higher entrance fee?? Besides I do not like these new clothes restrictions. It's a Spa! You are naked inside the pool and inside the sauna. So where is the difference if you go for a walk in the garden or lie on the sun lounger (were you have to wear a cover now)? If people don't feel comfortable and are afraid of being stared at (which I have never experienced there! You go there to relax. Not for staring at others!) - feel free to cover yourself. But prohibiting this freedom for everyone - this does not make sense. So: This is far away from being the Vabali I fell in love with. But for everyone who visits it for the first time and does not know about the changes - they sure will like it. read more

Ok if you're into the pretty, polished, & pampered thing..., this place is immaculate. Check in was simple, given a fancy waistband which functioned as a locker key, as well as a credit card. Saunas for every liking, steam room, indoor & outdoor, (of course heated), pool(s). Lounge chairs in abundance, no need to "reserve". Food was overpriced but good, Decent service. Nudity in saunas/ pools, but Shame...should you walk around, or lounge exposed... Brought my own towels/Robe...really, & definitely No on the Slippers? 4 hours, a burger & 2 beers = 49,10e Pretty, Polished,... & quite frankly Pathetic. read more
Gorgeous spa. It's like being in the lobby of a fancy hotel, except that everything's a spa. 2 floors. Lots of little steam rooms where they do ceremonies where they pour some fragrance on the stones and a muscular dude with a towel flaps the hot air like a toreador till you pass out. They also give you creams and salts between the 2nd and 3rd towel-air-flap to rub on yourself. Quiet rooms upstairs have couches in front of fireplace, twin-size waterbeds. They had a hot wading pool where you walked in a rectangular shallow pool on stones and then a cold one in reverse directon in the other lane, and you walk ovals to go from one to the other. Even have a jacuzzi and pool outside in the freezing cold winter. read more

I will never get sick of this place. So many sauna options, the grounds are beautiful, you can nap on a waterbed upstairs, the pool is great on a sunny day. Bring your own towel and bathrobe if you want to save some money. I wish it were easier to get a massage appointment here. Normally I don't mind going to spas alone but this one is more fun with someone. read more

The place is great in terms of offerings. I love the many different sauna options. The best was the steam sauna. The service however is strange. I felt rushed from station to station during check in. When I got to the towel section the person working there was quite rude. Instead of helping suggest towel amount and robe she just wanted us off the counter. The food was not good. Both our meals were not tasty and one came with meat (even though we ordered vegetarian). The staff who brought the food literally shrugged her shoulders when we told her. Anyways, we like the place and go regularly when we are in Berlin. It would be better if they fixed the service. read more

Vabali is my favorite spa in Berlin, the place is so huge that even if crowded you will find your own quite spot, the swimming pool is great and the saunas room are big enough to handle lots of people. I had a great time at the spa trying all different saunas and treatments, and I confirm the quality is very high. Everything is clean and also the food is great too. Defenately a place to go when in Berlin. read more

The spa is amazing. I like the decoration and the different saunas were great. Prices are OK for a spa, not overly expensive. We went on a Thursday in December and the weather was perfect. Since it was during the week there weren't too many people and you could relax. It felt like another world hence the central location. The high ceilings and different curtains seem to visually enhance your privacy. A few down points from my point of view are most of all the lack of water. A bottled water is very expensive and there's barely any free tap water which is a necessity for spas. Very unhealthy not to offer water to customers. A few water wells wouldn't do any harm. Especially since Berlin tap water is perfectly fine to drink. You can get towels and a bathrobe for €8-10 which is a bit too much, so you'll be better off bringing your own. Spas in Germany have a strict 'no textile' rule. I'm not one to get fully naked and would rather they offer at least a 'textile allowed' day or something but in the end you get a little more used to it and afterall you don't walk around naked which makes it more comfortable. Not for everyone though. Also a down point that changing rooms are mixed... after a whole day of having to expose yourself I would have wanted to relax and not having to get dressed in front of men anymore. It gets a bit too much after a while. Not everyone's cup of tea to be fully naked in front of strangers but it's definitely worth it. I recommend the 'Kokospeeling' and 'Honigaufguss'. After that your skin feels incredibly soft and clean. I haven't been so relaxed for a long time. Oh and they have heated water beds! Make sure to try these out. read more

Omg!!! This is my new favorite sauna in Berlin!! Honestly, Vabali is gonna be a total winter savior...with its cozy relaxation rooms (I think I counted 8 and I didn't even get to see them all) the various type of saunas (descriptions of which hang on placards outside of each- in both English and German, very helpful!) they even have a SUPER cozy fireplace room! My favorite sauna was the one with birch wood- it felt amazing in my lungs, like I was inhaling the benefits of a Forrest! Oh, and the panoramic sauna is really cool too. The global views from the rooftop overlooking the property are absolutely stunning! Also, at least two rooms have waterbed lounge chairs- it's completely awesome!! The restaurant offered a unique Mediterranean Asian fusion thing- I got the avocado, watermelon salat with grilled firm tofu, fried garbanzos and feta- it was SO delicious!! The massages weren't fantastic but I plan to give them another try. I came in on a Friday very last minute in the afternoon and they were pretty solidly booked so I might have just gotten a slightly less sought after therapist. But the reception was multilingual and very friendly (which is not always true in Berlin!) Just a really great way to spend an afternoon or whole day- I wished I had more time there and can't wait to go back! read more

Prices are expensive but the Thai Lemongrass soup is the reason why I love to come here. Oh and the massages! The staff are so nice and helpful, and I always feel like I am at home here. The men can be creepy, especially since there is just a "towel" and no bathingsuit policy, but whatever, everyone else is in the same position. WOMEN BEWARE. I encountered CONSTANT harassment from men during my visit here, and experienced various forms of sexual assault from some of them. I left this place in shock and disbelief, and followed up with the spa via email, once I had calmed down. I explained my situation, what I encountered in the spa, asked what their policy on this is, as well as asking if they have any measures in place to protect women from this kind of harassment. To my shock, and utter disgust, my email went completely ignored and unanswered. This makes me think that the owner and management at Vabali spa does not care about the safety and welfare of women. And while I would have definitely returned to their (very impressive) facilities, I do not think this kind of behavior is at all acceptable from any business, and to add to that, I do not feel safe as a woman going to this place. If this is some kind of sex club where it is appropriate for men to grope and masterbate on women without consent.. Well they should certainly state this very clearly on the website. Men attending with their spouses and significant others: stay close to them. Please keep them safe. I would hate to see this happen to anyone else. It is truly upsetting. read more

The vabali SPA is a true escape from a grey and winter looking like city. Situated in a heart of Berlin pretty much easy accessible for everyone. Beautifully designed with an Asian touch, probably hand made crafted in wood decorations, dimmer lamps, soft blankets, long beds and white textiles makes you wind back to exotic places or reminds about holidays. There is indoor and outdoor area. Indoor area has two floors with different saunas and plenty space to rest and relax, restaurant and even a room with a chimney! Super cozy! Outdoor area hosts hot/cold pools saunas banja and place to relax. Decorated with natural material bamboos, stones and Buddha figurines looks just alright not tacky at all. My favourite sauna was the one with a panoramic view overlooking spa and the park situated on 1 st floor make sure you won't miss that one. Every 30 min you may try aufguss with honey/ kokos/ herbal touch skin feels wonderful. Restaurant will provide you with very fashionable food menu. I haven't found anywhere water fountains and that's w big minus. Man you need to drink when you sweat off and water at the restaurant is just ridiculously expensive. It's a no textile spa so in case you shy you probably be better off somewhere else. If you can avoid Sunday's. I was there yesterday and it felt more like a human beauty factory than truly relaxing oasis. It was cold and snowed so probably everyone had the same idea lets warm up in sauna:-) Weekdays are way less crowded. Bring your bathrobe and towels as renting is in my opinion way too expensive 8 e.. There is a parking space if you need it. Enjoy! read more

Very authentic, special and relaxing stay at vabali. Although the price of around 21€/2 hrs is in my opinion too pricey, the staff was always friendly and helpful, the stay was relaxing, the area was incredibly great and lovely decorated and - for me the most important point - it was more or less clean (see below) and we felt safe and welcomed. The people here are completely mixed and from ages 18-50+ which is very nice aswell. The saunas are clean, comfy and ultra intense if you go 80*C+ which was an amazing feeling afterwards. Unfortunately, the stone-floored water pool was really dirty and there was no constant water circulation, so I assume that it just got dirtier and dirtier (and the people are stepping in there with their feet...) which should be improved asap. Also the 'whirlpool' in the outside area was very dirty, you could easily see all kinds of skin fragments floating around which I think results aswell from lack of water circulations. Time checked in was around 3PM - quite full but not overloaded. Next time I would be coming back for an earlier check in. read more

I loved my experience at Vabali. It is clean, the staff is friendly, the food is great, and it has a variety of saunas, steam baths, and rest areas. My only complaint is the water in the pools is a little cold, since Berlin weather is rarely ever warm. It would be amazing if they had a jacuzzi. You can purchase robes towels and slippers there, or bring your own. I would highly recommend bringing soap and other personal items for yourself. For example, I really needed a brush when I was blow drying my hair. My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 hours, which was a good amount of time. read more
Great sauna and swimming pool. Know that this is a textile frei facility so no bathing suit allowed. You can rent a towel and bathrobe, but it will cost you €16. Just bring your own from home. Also bring some flip flop to walk around in. I had a great time relaxing under the tree and trying out all the saunas. We had lunch at the resturant which had amazing vegan burger and curry. The day pass is a little bit pricey but worth it as a rare treat. read more

Who knew this lovely and large Asian spa was only a five minute walk from Berlin central train station?! Such a lovely surprise! Four hours cost about $32 but it was totally worth it. Their lovely outdoor and indoor facilities take you far from the city and into a world of relaxation. Americans should know this is a clothing free facility, so you're going to be naked in a mixed gender environment, just get over it. The outdoor swimming pool is the perfect temperature at about 85°F and the outdoor hot pool was a little cool for me at about 101°F, But still lovely. There are a wide variety is of saunas and steam rooms to choose from, my favorite by far was the infusion sauna where an attendant pours water on the hot stones and then fans participants with hot moist air, and passes out a lovely scented body infusion , like one made of honey and oil and herbs, to rub on your body before the third and final round of steam. The deep tissue massage I had was excellent, but don't try to book one on the phone if you don't speak German. Possibly the best way to spend a chilly gray fall day ever! read more

Beste Grüße Julia K. read more

Hab in Deutschland noch kein besseres Spa besucht ! Wirklich Hammer !!!! Tolles Design , tolle Saunen,....makellos.

Shady elitist club, exploiting buddhist asian culture for business . A dark feeling atmosphere with horrible staff and visitors who are either tourists or members of a snobbish sect. The rules of the house make no sense.Wear no bathing suit but wear a towel and go swimming naked. If you don't follow those rules, you get some passive-aggressive looks and meaningless explanations. This place is belonging to some mafia-clan, google it, and therefore anyone going here is supporting the mafia and the culture of gentrification. Most of these positive reviews are 100 percent bought! read more

Kein weiterer Kommentar. read more

Sketchy and disgusting place, not safe for women at all. They will not ban creeps who touch other guests and do not care about maintaining a safe environment. read more

Not a safe space! Sexual assaults happen here and they do nothing about it and minimize the trauma and experience. Disgusting.
