I have nothing but good things to say about VacayHome. Before COVID, I had booked a condo in RI for a wedding. Due to COVID, I had to change the dates twice and then I had to cancel. Raju was the agent who handled my reservation and was timely in answering my questions and changing dates. Even though I didn't end up booking the condo, Raju and VacayHome didn't treat me any different. When I do need to book another condo, I will not hesitate to use them. Thank you again !! read more

I had a reservation thru them starting today and yesterday a major fire started close to the area. Since I have asthma, I couldn't go and asked if maybe we could change our reservation to another time. Raju was my agent and he was most helpful. I was very pleased with what he could work out. Nightmare! I booked a Wailea Hawaii condo at Ekahi Village using booking.com which had a no cancelation policy which I was okay with. Then 1 week before my trip, their associated companies VacayHome and VTrips.com sent me an email to say the condo "owner" canceled my reservation. What BS!!! It's not fair that I had to agree to a no cancelation, no refund policy, yet, booking.com, vacayhome.com and Vtrips.com can cancel right before your trip. They did refund my money but left me scrambling for another unit. I will avoid these companies like the plague. read more

I am planning a trip to Sarasota in February 2021. Our lodging was going to be paid for by our points. I found a unit without much trouble, super cute, and it would cost only an additional $245 for 6 nights. With that locked up I booked our flights (using a Covid Credit, you have one opportunity to select your travel) and rented our car. Next morning I received a call from the property manager of our booked unit. She told me that an error had been made as the condo had long been rented. She referred me to Vacayhomes Connect and explained that they apparently had failed to log in the previous reservation. She gave me the name of Michael Christian as well as his contact info. I immediately contacted Mr. Christian, he was expecting my call as he had been in contact with the property manager. He tied everything up in a nice little package: he would immediately contact Expedia to identify a similar property, it would cost us not a cent, don't you worry we will take care of you. Nothing happened. I called Mr. Christian today, fortunately he answered the phone, otherwise he may not have taken my call. As it were, I explained that I had received no communication from anyone. He immediately apologized and said that he found his email to me in his drafts, but no worries, I just sent it. Nothing. I tell him that I have not yet received the email. As I'm waiting, he says I shouldn't be concerned because we aren't traveling until February. What!!! I tell him I have not yet received his email, he tells me it is still in his drafts, I say well, please send it. To which he replied: "Good Lord, I'm going to disconnect this line. There is nothing I can do for you." Now I'm stuck trying to work with our credit card company - they want to cheap out on me too. STAY AWAY FROM THEM - BAD NEWS read more

This company does not pay their property managers. I am the manager of El Matador Management Company in Fort Walton Beach, FL. I used VacayHome Connect to connect my vacation rentals to third party booking engines. To date, I am still waiting on payment in the amount of $40,141.91 for 32 reservations that they made in our properties. These reservations were from 2019 - 2020. It is now January of 2021 - still no payment. I have called and emailed them and the owner answer I get is that they will have to talk to someone to see what is going on with payment. I am also in contact with other companies who have not received payment from them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL NOT GET PAYMENT!!!!! read more

I am so impressed with VacayHome Connect's ability to work with me through COVID. They were were willing to reschedule my trip when I canceled because I missed my flight. Then when I it came time for the second reservation COVID risks again made me uncomfortable. I called and they were willing to credit me the money for a future trip to any of their properties. Wow! Who does that anymore! I had a reservation through another company and they were not willing to refund or credit any portion of a canceled reservation. This is a hard time for us and for business and yet they made it work for me. I am very impressed and thankful for their flexibility. read more

Booked a stay for my son for 90+ days from the deposit. Paid the deposit and he received an email stating he owed more money than he paid. Fees were 600.00 and we couldn't find out what the fees were for. I called the actual property and they had not received anything from vacay home connect so now we were worried. Called vacay home connect and first was told to cancel we would forfeit 25% of deposit but a few minutes later he said 100% of deposit. So 48 hours after paying deposit they want to keep 100% because we feel like they are frauds and don't want to let them have our money to just keep. Their face book has many stories of shady activities. I had to dispute with credit card company. Save your self the trouble and book via the actual property. read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had with a vacation rental company. I booked a reservation through them and paid them only to show up at the hotel and the hotel tell me that they had no record of any payment being made. In order to check in I had to be charged the full amount for reservation (over $1000 which I already paid HomeVacay weeks earlier). I had to spend the entire evening on the phone have been calling HomeVacay office for weeks leaving messages to call me back. They always tell me e a case number but they are reservations have no direct line to management or customer service. In fact the reservation person told me that they have a "name only" directory and have no phone number. This company is beyond Shady and should not be trusted. I do not leave reviews but I have never had such an unpleasant experience and still three weeks later have no resolution and no call backs. I unfortunately I'm going to have to initiate a chargeback through my credit card company because I cannot get someone at this disreputable business to actually call me back read more

I won't say this is a perfect company but I will proudly say this; we really do work hard to work towards perfectionism. As many of the best companies out there, we do get things wrong sometimes. Don't book any properties if you know they are being managed by VacayHome Connect. Just booked a property via booking.com and didn't notice the price didn't include all taxes. With taxes added, the same property for a week was between $ 455.51 and $ 693.85 less for 1 week (with all taxes included) on two other property websites (one of which is vrbo.com). When booking.com contacted VacayHome Connect, they just said the deposit is non-refundable and now I have to try and make up the difference with booking.com and will also recommend that booking.com not work with this company anymore. Total scammers with absolutely no customer service when you phone them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more

Be very aware! I do not travel frequently so thought the low price was worth the extremely rigid cancellation policy, and things, honestly have been very tight financially. We had a most unfortunate family circumstance come up which necessitated a change in plans. VacayHome Connect would not even respond to AirBNB's refund cancellation request. So, mia culpa for purchasing and knowing fine print, but even after explaining the extenuating circumstance, VacayHome Connect maintained their "Nope!" stance. read more

This company is terrible with communication. I booked a place through them and arrived to find an inaccurate listing with construction and fresh painters everywhere. While this might not be troubling for some people I and my family are extremely chemically sensitive, also with an adventurous toddler in tow, construction is rarely safe to be nearby, so I reached out to find a different place to be or a refund. Without an ounce of consideration I was denied. With rudeness incomplete communication and no problem solving I have been turned away. Do NOT rent through this company. read more

I was recently viewing online apartments in Waikaki. I came across one apartment which was advertised in your name and via Homeaway Stays. I looked at your price and then looked at the hotel's websites same apartment , same dates for a week, same everything and for some reason there was $4000 difference. Mmmmm that's just plain rude. Don't book with Vacay Homes!! I booked a confirmed rental for a week in Hawaii. The night we left for Hawaii, I received an email stating that we did not have a place to stay. Vacay Homes never asked the rental property if they had availability for our stay until the night before. (Peak whale watching season in Hawaii) The entire island was sold out. We showed up for our honeymoon and spent the entire time looking for and moving to places that had a night or two available for us. Avoid this company like the plague. They are terrible. read more
