Catalan Bread with Tomato & extra virgin olive oil €3.00

This outdoor restaurant is right on the beach. You can either eat inside the restaurant which has a roof or sit outside in the sun on one of the beach chairs. No matter what you choose, you will have the direct view of the beach. The service was excellent. The servers were very friendly and answered our questions in English. They were very helpful in recommending dishes to experience, beers to drink and wines to enjoy. The food was delicious. The clams marinara were prepared with fresh tomatoes and garlic. The portion was generous. This dish goes great with beer or wine. They are open till 1:00AM and can be a happening place during warm summer days.

Stellar service at the beach in Barcelona. If you are a tourist of any kind, the helpful and charismatic staff will aid you with any questions or suggestions you might need. They are also very competent in several languages; Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian, just to name some of the languages I heard the waiters/bartenders speak in. The drinks and food and phenomenal and it's all on the beach. Clean bathrooms, great feng shui, and a great seashore to match! Your experience here can only be what you make it!

Beachfront, chilly so sit in the sun.

Beach bar at Bogatell where drinking on the sand is ideal. Grab coffee or even a Moscow Mule and people watch. They have a 10 Euro Kids meal which includes a drink and it had 2 hamburger patties with no bun. Perfect for 2 little ones to share. I ordered the Canned seafood sampler. If you haven't developed your taste for this, you will not like this. After trying Quimet & Quimet and other tapas, I've grown to like the mussels. It's not for everyone. People were ordering nachos for the Tex-Mex selections. Not for me, that's everyday in Southern California. Come for the bar and coastal breeze.

They could benefit from a bit more banana or fresh fruit to balance out the stack, especially given the size of the dish. The English breakfast was excellent, well-cooked and satisfying, and the side of chorizo stood out as particularly flavorful. Coffee was genuinely perfect, easily one of the highlights of the meal. The overall vibe is a classic European café style, relaxed and comfortable, good for a casual sit-down breakfast or brunch. One important note: this is not a place for traditional Spanish food. If you are looking for local Catalan or Spanish breakfast or tapas, this will feel more international than authentic. Overall, strong for coffee and comfort food, but not aligned with a traditional Barcelona culinary experience.good service and free WiFi

The seating space was small and there was one staff behind the bar and the other staff serving all the tables so service took a bit but our server was helpful and as attentive as possible considering he was covering the entire restaurant. We both got brunch cocktails and caffeine and really enjoyed our leisurely Barcelona Brunch. I'd definitely come back and try something else.

Bernie's is one of the better options located near the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. But it really is only one of the better ones because a lot of other "American" establishments are bad. You really make due with what you have. Their milkshakes are good. Nice and creamy but not too heavy. I had the chocolate milkshake and was a fan. My GF had their strawberry cheesecake milkshake and it was good, but tasted more like just strawberry than strawberry cheesecake. T-bone steak tasted similar to a decent american diner and it hit the spot. Their ribs are absolutely horrible though. They were overcooked, dry, bland, and slathered in a bad BBQ sauce. Do come if you miss home, but don't come expecting an amazing meal.

We couldn't eat it. - The fries were as bland as fries can be. No seasoning, and like rubber. - The patatas bravas were literally just plain steak fries. Also no seasoning but most importantly no bravas sauce or aioli. - The banana milkshake was mostly milk. Vanilla wasn't bad. - Banana split was pretty good, but it's hard to mess up scoops of ice cream and toppings. The woman who took my order wasn't rude by any means, but she was cold and almost seemed bothered to be dealing with an American even though I spoke mostly in Spanish. If you're really desperate for American food in Barcelona, I guess you can find worse, but if you have time, I'd go elsewhere. For what it's worth, the atmosphere was cool. Good music and aesthetic. Place was clean.

First time I went I ordered 1. Cappuccino - which was the best one I had while staying in Barcelona 2. Eggs Benedict - with pulled pork which was amazing 3. Pancakes with fruit - this was good but not eat your heart out good 4. Fresh squeezed OJ - yum yum The service was excellent - very friendly - just wished I had a place like this in the states. The Cappuccino was so good my friend who arrived a couple days after me wanted to see for herself - so I went again - since we actually already had a little breakfast I only ordered 1. There awesome Cappuccino - that chocolate drizzled on top was what did it for me. 2. Avocado toast with a fried egg - so fresh and delicious 3. Seriously. A London-based friend recommended this beachy La Barceloneta spot to Jamie W. and me. It's just off the promenade next to the beach. The menu consisted of familiar T.G.I.Friday's-style eats. The eats seemed like the ideal match for the umbrella-covered outdoor cafe. We must've been in a poultry mood because we shared two chicken items. First up was the satisfying 13€ 'Chickens' Sandwich, where in a rustic Catalan bread roll, they stuffed chicken breast marinated in herbes de Provence, sun-dried tomatoes, chopped egg, and arugula (photo: https://yelp.to/XQyWywmMXD). We followed up the sandwich with the 9€ Crispy Chicken Fingers made with panko, corn flakes, and various spices. They came with a couple of dipping sauces, honey mustard and chili aioli (photo: https://yelp.to/DF4_8fIZMT). We didn't think we'd have McNuggets on our vacation, but they were good probably because they had that extra crunch from the Kellogg's cereal. Hey, it wasn't culinary art, but it worked.
