Alongside Rodger Hillman in Rexburg, these guys have become the go-to team for our entire valley, from St. Anthony down to Malad. What really stands out is their consistency. Whether you're shopping for high-end pieces or just need something practical, they take the time to understand what you need and help you find the right fit. And if they don't have it, they'll track it down. That kind of effort is rare. Even more impressive is what happens after the sale. However, when I went to the counter to buy a few of my finds the owner Will seemed to be friendly and we seemed to have a pleasant conversation until it turned slightly political and he suddenly had a profane outburst (calling half the country "Motherf_____s). I don't care what side of the political aisle you maybe on, I think it is inappropriate, unkind, and intolerant language. Also, I think using vulgar name-calling to describe people you might disagree with discourages thoughtful communication. And without thoughtful communication developing love and understanding becomes more difficult. I love and care for many different people with many different varying political views. What someone believes politically does not make them less worthy of love and understanding. I'm unlikely to visit this bookstore again because of the interaction I had.

Should I complain about the horrible, horrible service or be thankful? If the sales person had not…read morebeen so rude in ignoring us we would not have walked out and found the mattress we did at another store. We walked in and were the only ones in the store. Asked if we could be helped. Obviously we were there looking for a mattress as we told the sales person. Need one for the new RV we just purchased. About a minute later another couple walked in, "Can I help you?" Same as we stated, "we're looking for a new mattress." The sales person being the only person there should have said, "I will be right with you.", and continued to help us but instead we were ignored while she played 20 questions with the latter customer. I told my wife, "guess our money is no good here.", and we walked out being ignored. On the way back home we noticed another mattress store that we were unaware of. Stopped and same senario, only ones in the store with sales rep. He was extremly helpful and inquisitive to our sleeping habits. Showed us several mattress. Another customer showed up. Sales rep told them he would be right with them. He gave us options on different mattresses and food for thought so we told him to please help them while we look at the ones you showed us. Purchased a great mattress that we are very happy with, so maybe thank you is in order to Idaho Mattress Outlet for the bad service. I would have gotten better customer service at Costco.
