A little about me, I am a young professional, and was…read morelooking for my first home on a VERY conservative budget within a 6wk timeline with a heavy preference of staying in the VB area. So not the easiest client. I would absolutely recommend Jessica for all your real estate needs! Holy cow, that woman is a dynamite! I was originally working with a team of real estate agents. They felt 'off', I would give them a list of properties that I was interested in and they never explained why they weren't setting up viewings. After about 2wks with them, unbeknownst to me, they transferred me to Jessica. I was truly offput by my interaction with them and was hesitant at first. BUT, I am SO DANG GLAD they transferred me to Jessica! From the moment we first texted/called she was on point, immediately responding back and providing me more information than I expected! She provided me access to her reinmls matrix which, I discovered, my previous agent should have done. Within 24hrs of being set up with her we had a phone conference to discuss exactly what I was looking for, again she was WAY more thorough then my previous experiences! Not once did she show me a listing that was above my price range, or pressure me towards viewing/considering a home that I did not show interest in. Not once did I get the feeling that she was "in it for the commission", in fact it is truly apparent that she is in it for the client! While perusing listings on a Saturday afternoon I saw a few that clicked with me and sent it to her. She immediately responded back and within a few hours, had several of the listings scheduled! Went to see the listings and she gave me her honest feedback on them. Again, showing she cares more about the client then the commission. My very first listing that day was the ONE! I went home after viewing them and within 2hrs, texted her to go ahead with an offer. She walked me through what the process would look like. And that evening, with her due diligence and efforts, the contract with my offer and terms was completed, signed, and sent. The very next day she was able to update me that it was accepted! The following month was full of a flurry of activity and Jessica was on top of literally everything. Again, as a first time homebuyer, there were so many things I did not think about or know...thank god for Jessica making sure to give me a heads up on any and everything! She got me pretty much everything on my wishlist during the walkthrough plus some! And she stayed on top of the seller's agent to get updates and everything I needed even though they were often not as easily accessible. Final walkthrough and closing day, she still was working a thousand miles a minute getting things done for me. My mortgage lender (Tidewater mortgage) called to just check on me. He even commented that he had never worked with Jessica before but he has really enjoyed how on top of her game she is and she doesn't ever quit haha! Even though I closed, there are still a few repair issues that were not completed. Although technically she has sold the house to me, she is still diligently working to ensure that everything is good to go. If you made it this far, congratulations haha! But seriously, go with Jessica...you won't regret it! She made what could have been a very stressful time, the least stressful time imaginable. I didn't have to worry about a thing with her on my side and I am so thankful that I ended up with her. I will definitely be contacting Jessica with my all future real estate needs!

I wanted to address some of the comments that Jackie Dunbar added under this review and the…read morefalsehoods in her comments. The first line "Mr. M lived in the property for over a year prior to purchasing the property" That is untrue. My family and i moved into the home in June 2010 to take over the lease of the woman who lived there, a friend of our oldest daughter who was relocating. The closing on the house was in January 2011, so 7 months. I am not sure about the reduced price, the appraised value since I was dissuaded by the Dunbars to not get a home inspection. When we requested the roof to be fixed The Dunbars did send a worker to our home. he told my wife that due to the pitch of the roof it would not be right. He did no real work and charged about $200 for his time. I still have the receipts and although Jackie is not responsible for the work, she is for the workers she chose to work on the house. I have had this roof repaired twice, no one mentioned the pitch as an issue and the leak has long been fixed. But not from their handyman. If you live in a property owned or managed by them I would suggest going to Angie to get workers to repair the property, I wouldn't trust their discretion. "After closing on the house, 6 months later Mr. M called my office and indicated he had a leak in the roof. He was very unhappy, my office assistant sent the roofer who did the repair previously (about a year before). The roofer told Mr. M that he could fix it again, but he would need to budget for a replacement." This is mostly untrue. I did contact Jackies office and asked about the work that was done. I asked if they could do the repairs that was supposed to be done about a year before. They refused to do anything. The worker did not come by and offer a quote on the roof, I wouldn't trust him if he did. They refused to do anything, which I understand is their right, but this work should have been handled since it was reported before the sale. "We did try to assist Mr. M, but he wanted us to buy a new roof." Which is again mostly untrue. They did nothing nor wanted to do anything to help, but I did buy a new roof. I have all the emails in my account from this time period that I sent to Jackie Dunbars office and her team and there is never a time they offered to help on this subject. The last thing i will add is that Jackie, quite recently actually, reached out to me with a hand written ( mostly, sadly she has had some health problems) asking me to remove this review. That as a christian I should be forgiving. But in my view, this is my christian duty to be honest of an account that happened to maybe help others to at least be wary when working with the Dunbars especially with work being handled by their workers. My work was all handled by me, the roof was repaired at great expense and other areas needed a lot of work since it was so neglected by the previous owner, but it was made right by work I had done after this issue to resolve it. I would not care to work with Jackie in the future but this is buyer beware on her and her teams services.
