Honest and professional, Nate's manner put me at ease. With two different garages in need of servicing, Nate identified the main issues with no problem, offered simple solutions, and began working right away. He was done in less than an hour for both and the cost was very reasonable to my surprise. Brief description of the issues I needed help with: One door was collapsing from a broken wire and was stuck halway open. The second garage door was inoperable, despite my DIY attempts. BTW, other local garage repair companies came and diagnosed with complicated and expensive solutions I declined. Enter Nate! Truly the ACE of garage repair choices in my opinion. Home base is Morongo, Nate will travel to accomodate clients throughout the Cochella Valley and beyond. From the moment I called to schedule an appointment, the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. They quickly arranged a time that worked for me and provided all the necessary information. Our project was to fit our house's new remodel with doors that complimented it. That task was easy enough because the company gave us lots of options and very useful advice. The part that I thought would be hard is that we wanted a matching custom gate to very exact specifications. Rather than having the other shoe drop they said "no problem" framed out the gate perfectly, matached the mounting that the masons used and even created an extremely secure locking system to keep our dogs safely tucked away. When the technician arrived, he was punctual and clearly knowledgeable about garage door systems. He took the time to explain the options I had and suggested where to spend the money and where not to. The whole process was relaxed and fun without any pressure to upsell. I appreciated how he prioritized my budget while ensuring that I understood the solutions available. The remodel was done efficiently, and my garage door is still functioning perffectly even after 5 years! The technician even took the time to perform a thorough inspection of the system and shared tips on maintenance to prolong the life of my door. BEWARE BEWARE this guy is a SCAMMER his name is Tito Valadez this guy just scammed my brother for $1,700.00 he was charging him for gate doors and asked for that as a deposit only reason why he trusted him with that deposit was cause he did do a steel door for me back in 2021 and I had no issues with him but it looks like now he is going thru some ruff times and finds it easy to steal peoples money please do not at all hire or deal with this business or individual there's is another person in Palm desert that also got scammed we are not the only ones Informing we know of him so far His business is under Valadez ironworks His name is Tito Valadez He lives in the city of Yucca Valley He claims to be a MMA fighter (coward in my eyes) If anyone can share any information that leads to his wear about that would be great appreciated read more

FRAUD ALERT - DO NOT HIRE ALVAREZ HANDYMAN…read more I hired Charlie Alvarez (Alvarez Handyman) for roof repair, quoted at $750 to replace flashing, tar paper, shingles, and fascia. -- He claimed the job was complete and sent an invoice describing "fascia replacement, roofing paper, Henry's seal, shingles, trim, and paint." -- He sent angled photos to make it look like repairs were done. -- In reality: **no new shingles, no tar paper, no Henry's seal, and the fascia was left worse than before** -- with gaps and improper angles. When I confronted him: -- He blamed "his guys" and promised to fix it himself. -- Days later, he showed up late and performed a **sloppy, unsafe patch job** -- dozens of nail holes in flashing, a poorly cut eave, and brad nails holding it together. -- I demanded a refund, but he stalled, claiming he needed money back from his subcontractor. To make matters worse, his invoice lists a **fake contractor license number** ("VAT Reg No: Lic#lc20190386"). No valid license exists. This is **fraudulent misrepresentation**. Bottom Line: - Work not performed as promised - Damage made worse - Fake license number used - Refuses to refund **Do NOT hire Alvarez Handyman. Protect yourself and your property.**
