Vernon Farmer's Market actually really surprised me! After going to Penticton Farmer's Market which…read morewas only a block, I loved that Vernon Farmer's Market was quite large! It had everything, soap, fruits & veggies, plants for you to grow, handmade clothes, coffee, honey, and cards. You have to turn into where the Kal Tire Centre is, and continue driving and you'll get to the parking lot. Lots of parking! I walked away with some coffee, local artist greeting cards, and some soap from a really nice couple! I would definitely come out to this Farmer's Market regularly if I lived in Vernon, as having a mix of vendors and not just food/fruits/veggies was really nice to support all types of local vendors.

Always worth it to get up early on Saturday and make it to the market during the summer. Local…read morefood producers and artists fill the plaza in "downtown" Revelstoke. I have a hard time walking through here without at least getting some fresh veggies, if not a sausage, or maybe some samosas:) Although I'm not interested in the art so much, I do find the ceramics appealing, especially when they are in plate or mug form, haha. But, my favorite part of the market has to be "Kurt's Sausages." I love his large variety of sausages, from classic Swiss brats, to orange/ginger, and bison/saskatoonberry. Absolutely killer. The market is only one block, which is fine for a small town, as it has enough variety to satisfy. Most stalls are cash only, but a few will accept MC/Visa. Obviously, doesn't hold a candle to things in the city, but I still love this market :p

What an amazing market! Definitely worth the 8:00am wake-up call on a Saturday morning. Strolling…read morethrough Revelstoke's Grizzly Plaza surrounded by historic buildings and shops is nice on any day, but the local Farmers Market makes it even more fun! With everything from locally made jams and honey to coffee roasted and by local experts, this market had something for everyone. I could have browsed the crafts and hand made wares for a lot longer than my husband would allow. Local artisans were there in full force with the woodworking and hand knit toques standing out above the rest in my book. Our prize score was five, count them five, kinds of homemade sausage from Kurt's Sausage stand. This Salmon Arm based butcher makes some of BC's best. We sampled the bison, chorizo, and pork and cranberry among others. I can also recommend Kurt's beef jerky. If you happen to find yourself at this market, don't miss out.
