Don't Don't Don't…read more I, in no way am blaming anyone else but myself for the bad decisions I made almost six years ago which required my hiring a criminal defense attorney. Nor am I blaming anyone else for the consequences I've endured.. Having said that, I had no experience with the court systems before, other than minor traffic stuff. Therefore, It was important for me to have things explained in detail about what was going on and to get competent advice on what to do. On recommendations from a few friends and relatives I hired Ms. Friedrichs to handle my cases. After a sizable payment to Ms. Friedrichs, she began representation for me. I got none of my above stated requirements from Ms. Friedrichs. Very important details were never communicated to me, one in particular that resulted in 7 extra months of probation that could have been avoided, or at least vastly reduced had she informed me of that detail. Added to that, I was not informed until I thought my probation was over and asked her to clean my record in March 2019. That was the end date my documentation showed. She said, send me more money, sure, I can do that right away. I sent the money. Shortly thereafter, May 2019, she sent documentation stating that EVERYTHING was done. I go apply for a job to be rejected because EVERYTHING was NOT done. When she looked again she informed me my probation wasn't over till Oct 2019. It took her a week to figure out the problem. That's when I got that very important detail from 5 years earlier that Ms Friedrichs neglected to tell me. AND this, after she had just told me everything was done a couple weeks earlier. Not 5 years earlier when I could have, and would have reduced the added on probation to a far far shorter amount of time. Ms Friedrichs also has a bad habit of ignoring questions and requests for clarification. I have no less than 15 such incidents documented via emails and txts. She also told me things without reviewing my cases which turned out to be incorrect on several occasions as well. It took over three weeks for her to inform me of the outcome of my final court date. And had I not asked her two times, I'd still not know. There are many many incidents of me having to ask, re-ask, and then ask again for things before getting any response. And don't EVER question her or suggest that she made a mistake. She forgets nothing and thinks she's incapable of making mistakes. She was rude, defensive, arrogant and condescending whenever I pointed out the shortcomings in her representation. There's way more, but just too much to detail here. My association with Ms Friedrichs is now over. But even in her final email to me today, she made claimes that were untrue. My recommendations for a criminal defense attorney in Palm Springs is ANYONE OTHER than Angela Friedrichs.
