I invested approximately $47,000 with Valenti Matchmaking because I was promised a highly personalized, elite matchmaking experience. I was told they had an extensive network of qualified, high-caliber professionals and that the process would be tailored to my specific criteria. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those expectations. Over approximately a year and a half, I received only a handful of introductions. Several of the men did not meet the criteria I clearly outlined before signing my agreement. I specifically requested a successful, fit entrepreneur who could travel internationally and matched my lifestyle. Instead, I was introduced to individuals who were significantly outside those parameters. For the investment I made, I expected far more communication, transparency, and results. Instead, I was left feeling that the service did not deliver the level of matchmaking that had been represented during the sales process. When I raised my concerns and requested a refund based on the lack of meaningful introductions, my request was denied. I understand that no matchmaking service can guarantee love or chemistry. However, I do believe clients should receive the level of service, effort, and qualified introductions that are represented before making such a substantial financial commitment. If you're considering investing tens of thousands of dollars in a luxury matchmaking service, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about the expected number of introductions, how matches are sourced, what happens if your criteria cannot be met, and exactly what your investment guarantees before signing a contract. This was an expensive lesson for me, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service based on my personal experience. read more

Recently we called to see if our daughter, who recently ended a long relationship, could be a fit. We made it crystal clear we were calling only to make the introduction and we would put our daughter in touch directly if the agency thought she would be a fit for their services. Imagine our surprise when they sent us a non refundable contract for 250k and called our daughter and told her it was a gift from us!!!! Completely dishonest and disreputable. I'm sad that this company is still in business. Read up on this company before contacting her. If you want to donate thousands of dollars to Irene Valenti so that she can continue to live in the style to which she has become accustomed, (and I read that she still filed for bankruptcy) then go ahead and sign up with her. You will get basically nothing for those dollars, and that is why I call it a donation. Yes, I was, to put it bluntly, conned by her, and I hope you stay away. After reading about this "service" in various online articles and review sites, I have the strong suspicion that she has few male clients and far more female ones. I went on one disappointing date with probably a friend of the family or another client who shared no interests with me, and appeared to be randomly selected based on age. This date occurred only after I got no communication for several months, and wanted my money back. She also had ways of avoiding talking to me when I called, which made me angrier. The only other "possible match" was a long distance call from man who lived in a rural area, who was also probably a "victim". He was nice, but too far away. I don't know how she can live with herself. I should have believed more in myself, as you should if you are considering her services. I found someone on my own. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to work with an actual matchmaking service as opposed to filling out an online questionnaire for some dating site and leafing through profiles. I must agree with the other negative reviews I have read about Valenti International. I signed on for three years with promises of great introductions and help from the "Team". Well...I received 5 introductions in three years. None of the potential introductions were close to what I discussed with one of the psychologists at the the initial interview. I went with this company because I believed with licensed psychologists it would be legit and they would work hard to find a good match. Boy was I wrong! I tried to be very open and communicative with Valenti, but always felt they were just appeasing me when we spoke. Long story short, they took my money and when the chose to deliver it was so far off base it was a further waste of my time, my travel expenses and the other persons time and money as well. DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE. It has a big financial toll and unfortunately a bigger emotional toll. read more

I have had a terrible experience with Valenti International and am writing this review to hopefully prevent others from falling prey to what i genuinely believe to be a sham and deceptive business practice. I realize that sometimes these reviews are written by individuals that are hard to match because they are either unusually particular about the criteria they are seeking in a mate or they lack certain key attributes (eg. they are physically unattractive or too old for the age bracket they wish to date) thus makeing them generally difficult candidates to match and therefore they feel cheated and frustrated and blame the matchmaker . This is not the case here! I am a very successfull and attractive male in my early 40s and have always been very successful in the dating scene, i was just having trouble finding the right one and turned to Valenti for assistance. Also, without going into specifics, my criteria were very reasonable (essentially an attractive and well educated lady in her early thirties who wants to get married and start a family). After my first meeting, Irene Valenti personally pursuid me with phone calls and emails to get me as a client and made all kinds of lofty promises about her services and probability of success. I was skeptical at first, but after a couple months i decided to give it a try in part due to Irene Valenti's persistence and promises and in part because i was able to substantially negotiate down her rate. In hind sight i should have paid heed to my initial instincts and walked away -- Irene Valenti does her business (and interviews clients) out of her mansion in Rancho Santa Fe. I came away from my initial meeting with the impression that she is a very fake person that is very cut off from reality in her "ivory tower" of a mansion...her employees were very stiff and formal and the whole place has a very stuffy and impersonal aura to it. Anyway, after I signed up, what ensued was preposterous. I never heard from anyone again! I repeatedly called and emailed them and expressed my frustration but did not get a single response till 5 months later i got an email from Irene stating that she saw no need for me to try to communicate with them and that i should just wait patiently and if and when they find a suitable candidate for me they will contact me. Subsequently on two occasions they sent me an email indicating they had identified a candidate for me and when I expressed my availability to meet them they told me the candidates were no longer available. Thats all that happened over the course of one year! It is really appalling that this woman is getting away with such a sham and fraud. Hopefully anyone reading this review will see that i have taken substantial time to write it with sufficient detail to hopefully show my sincerety and provide the reader with real insight into this sham so that they will stay away from Valenti and not fall prey to what i genuinely believe to be a complete fraud. read more
