I unfortunately had a disappointing experience, I called to make an appointment since I've been having issues with my upper airways, I explained it was hard to breath due to my left nostril being inflamed and she told me to go to the ER?? I wasn't having an asthma attack I have a deviated septum and I was hoping to see my pcp to discuss further options but instead the front desk MA diagnosed me... in addition she told me that the ER should have labs done on me, I thought that was my pcp's primary job not the emergency department that exists only for emergencies. The young doctor on the team and a same-day appointment are the only redeeming qualities of this clinic. Just beware of the manipulation & misdiagnosis. Don't make any decisions based on what your hear in this office. My experience: After asking for immunization boosters for my daughter, they were able to fit me in a busy schedule. I appreciate that. We get checked into a room and things are moving smoothly. They prick my daughter's finger to test iron and give her a lollipop as a reward. No issues. Then I'm told that a full physical is necessary, even though I don't want it. I inform them that a full exam is not necessary, but they insist. A nurse comes in to administer a fluoride treatment, but instead proceeds to scold me about my daughter's eating habits because she was eating a lollipop. YOUR STAFF GAVE IT TO HER. Then to tell me that her unhealthy eating habits will lead to problems in the future. What bad eating habits??? You just walked into the room! Don't tell me my daughter is going to be pre-diabetic just because she's bigger than your kids were. Her grandparents are 6'3" giants and you're 5'2" so it makes sense she's bigger than your average kid. Then the shots FINALLY come in and it's like a contest of how to give my daughter an anxiety attack. No communication with my daughter, just instructions on how to hold her down. I try to offer an alternative and get shot down. "Hold her arms against her chest and pin her knees down to the exam table." Fine. I'm waiting for the nurse to prepare the shot, but she instructs to hold her down while she's preparing the shot. WHAT? You WANT my daughter to be uncomfortable and fight the restraints while you're preparing the shot? When the first shot happens my daughter is already in fight-or-flight mode. Shot number two and it's the same thing only doubled. Guys I've done this before and NEVER have we had to restrain my daughter like a psych ward prisoner. Maybe YOU'VE had a bad experience, but what does that have to do with my daughter? Add insult to injury, the immunization nurse asks about my daughter's dentist and I tell her we haven't seen one here because we just moved. Her response was "well, she needs to see a dentist because she has a lot of cavities". What?? Your expert medical opinion is that my daughter has cavities? You made this assessment while administering a vaccine? No, your a fear-mongering manipulator who is used to scaring people into submission and cooperation. The only way YOU might know about my daughter's teeth is if the previous nurse said something about the lollipop. But what purpose did that nurse have to share medical information about my daughter with a nurse coming in for immunizations? How would one thing affect the other? Is it NOT appropriate to share any medical information unnecessarily. I came in for a booster, came out with unproven/untested pre-diabetes diagnosis, cavities, oral infection, unhealthy eating habits with all the potential health risks... All of this from nurses who spent no time in the room at all with the doctor or the patient. Just a fountain spewing fear and misinformation. If you need medical clearance, immunization booster, or just a referral AND are okay with some misinformation, judgement, manipulation, and verbal abuse, this is the spot for you. As medical professionals, YOU should not be making false diagnosis or accusations. I feel so sorry for the unaware patients that step through those doors. Listen to the doctor. The place was clean and ladies were friendly. The doctor I saw was Dr. Alex she was older and more direct and I love that. They made me feel uncomfortable about saying anything .I had health issues that I did not choose to have and The Dr had the never to tell me that "my medical conduction was for dirty people". I would not recommend coming to this place. I had a TB test done on Wednesday and i made sure to ask the lady at the front desk what time I should come back on Friday to get it checked. She answered anytime before closing at 5. I came back today at 2:30 PM and there was no one in the office. There was a paper taped to the door that said they would be closed for the Holidays from the 23rd-27th of December- the problem is that today is the 22nd, so they should not be closed yet. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get this test read (long story), so it was a bit frustrating when they weren't there when they said they would. Now I need to not only drive home (waste of gas), but i need to redo the test as no one is there to read it today. This was a time sensitive matter for a pre-work screening, so i will be delayed for that as well now. I will definitely not be back to this place! read more

I've been going there for 7 yrs and hands down best dr.! He took care of my needs and I got better,I had other high cholesterol issues and they took care of me,my cholesterol went down completely I no longer have to take pills for thatvery family oriented,they listen to what you have to say ,they actually care! The longest I've waited to be seen is 1 he and a half without an appt. But everytime go there is no wait! Worst experience I've ever had. I came here because I was in need of a last minute physical and TB test for school. It took approximately 1.5 to be seen by the Physicians Assistant to start my physical. The provider was very non therapeutic and blew everything out of proportion. She was trying to add a chest x-ray, ekg, extensive blood work to my bill on top of trying to persuade me to change doctors and bill my insurance. This place is full of unprofessional staff and students. One of the medical assistants administered the TB test wrong where my skin burst and the injection sprayed me in the eye. I do not recommend this Dr to anyone. My daughter came her for a simple physical and instead was scrutinized by Dr Valentine for having a tattoo and her ears pierced.He also made comments to her saying who would hire her after she finished nursing school. My daughter is a beautiful young woman inside and out. He is lucky I was not the one in his office because I would have never allowed him to speak to me that way. Very unprofessional!! The bad energy just radiates throughout the entire clinic. The ladies at the front desk are very rude, sometimes condescending. When you need to see the doctor it is very rushed and judgmental. Sometimes you'll come across a pleasant employee, unfortunately that's a rare occasion. I've been coming here for the past two years to get my TB tests, and titers done for school, the only reason why I came back is because I'm a student and they provided everything cheep and I'm financially strapped because of school. Called Valentine because it's my HMO home doctor. 9 out of 10 times called, it went straight to voicemail. The message goes 'for an appointment, please call us back during business hours.' Then, the message goes on for one and half minutes mostly in Spanish. No choice, you have to listen to the Spanish message to go to actual voice mail. Then, they did not call back even I left 3 messages in 3 straight days. The worst part is I had to wait 1 full hour in the office to see a doctor even I made an appointment. After 1 month of the first visit, all I got was a pain killer. That's not a treatment!!! They are headache provider rather than service provider. Stay away. read more

Very professional clinic. The physician and nurse practitioners are knowledgable and provide full treatment for my needs. The medical staff is the best asset to this clinic. Although sometimes there are long lines of patients seeking low cost health care, the service here is friendly and convenient. Diagnostics are done locally and in close proximity to the parkview hospital. I have recommended this place to my friends and family. I totally agree with you! That lady is the rudest b**ch I have ever seen keep a job for that long! I thought it was just my husband and I that she didn't like. But I guess she's just a rude miserable person. I just called my insurance today for the second time today to make a complaint.I always have been very polite to her(except this last time) and EVERY SINGLE TIME we put in for a refill on any of our medications she tells us it was denied and that we have to see the Dr for a refill even if we were just recently seen. Then tells US there's no appointment available for a couple weeks away. Last friday i found out she was lying when she told me my husbands cough medicine was denied because the next morning the pharmacy told us it was ready. When i told her that he really needed his cough medicine because he had a bad cough and it was really painful for him to cough because of his hernia, she actually said "well he shouldn't have a cough then!" (wth??) i couldn't believe that even came out of her mouth. Does she know how stupid that sounded? I told her i needed to speak to the Dr and i wanted to leave a message for him to call me. She then said "he won't call you back" i said that's ridiculous! What kind of Dr doesn't call their patients back! Then I just got pissed off and called her a b××ch and hung up. I called my insurance to make a complaint on her. This was just the last time I could tolerate her! Every time we call there she puts us on hold and never gets back on the phone. And if we go in there to speak to one of the other staff or pick up some paperwork, she has had us wait for over an hour until we finally have to make a issue about it. Then she'll say " oh I forgot" when she see" s us sitting there right in front of her face. She's the most unprofessional person I've ever seen working in a position like that. She must have a miserable life or some issue to be treating people that way..If I wrote everything she's put us through the last 3 years it would be a book. Its beyond me why the Dr hasn't fired her yet. Its now obvious that she treats everyone this way. I shouldn't have to dread every time I have to call my doctor for something and worry about if I'm even going to accomplish what I'm calling about. Because if she's having a bad day(or even good. Doesn't seem to matter either way with her) I might as well forget about it. I hope she realizes that with her thinking she's running that office and in control of whether we get our medications and can only speak to someone if she let's us, that she could be jeopardizing the health of others. Now we're here in December and waiting on paperwork that she's probably not submitting for a referral that's urgent and can't even get pass her to talk to the Dr. And myself.. I went in early September for a mouth ulcer that won't healing. Dr said I need a biopsy and 3 months later the specialist says they have faxed the office 3 times requesting notes so they can make me an appointment and still no reply. And in 15 days my referral expires. So I've had a sore in my mouth since August that won't heal and could be cancerous. And it's getting worse. And still no biopsy. Now that there is jeopardizing people's health. If our condition worsens because of her in competence, there's going to be some he'll raised! If I have to contact an attorney I will. as much as I love Dr Valentine and the rest of his staff I think it's defiantly time to find a new Dr. . it's too bad. This office is phenomenal! Service was great. If you want to get treated promptly make an appointment ahead of time. They do accept walk ins but be ready to wait since you are walking in without an appointment. The front desk girls are friendly and greet you with a smile . The office is clean and organized. The office manager Benita makes you feel at home and makes sure the service at valentine medical clinic is great. Dr.Valentine is awesome and takes time to explain anything that you don't understand. Valentine medical clinic is a great clinic. The staff is very loving and caring to their patients also very welcoming. Also to top it off they're all bilingual! They have a great programs for their patients as well.They try their best to satisfy their patients needs. Dr. Valentine is a amazing physician who takes time with his patients, he is also very loving and very welcoming to medical students in training. The female PA and NP are both very caring and amazing! This clinic is professional and know what they are doing. Yes there may be a wait but it's very understanding. Although you may have a scheduled appointment and you don't get roomed till later on it's understanding since they are a walk in and appointment based clinic. Sometimes there are patients with different needs and conditions so it's understanding in why sometimes the physicians take a little bit longer because every person is different. My boyfriend saw Dr. Valentine 3 times and the 1st time for his appointment he wasn't even there but the second visit 1st time seeing him all he did was talk to him didn't lay 1 hand on him for a physical just refered him to 2 other doctors because of his situation and was very rude but for the 3rd visit he went in for 2 shots and during that time the doctor was going over his labs and prescribed him a dietary supplement and he isn't supposed to have any kind of those pills due to his situation cause it can kill him and said everything is ok but isnt or else he wouldn't be seeing a specialist for one of his organs.......came home after he got his shots and applied to have a change of doctors this man sucks and needs to have his license taken away cause he has all his employees conduct the procedure to hear his heart and lungs ....... don't even know if those workers are PA or nurses ...... he is a big ZERO STAR read more

So my hubby and I went to this clinic to get blood work done and a physical for school. Well I'm definitely not a big fan of the front desk the smaller spanish lady maybe mid 20s to early 30s who works in the front is completely rude and definitely need to learn some bedside manners. The day we went there I thought she was just having a bad day, but even the day we came back for our results and when I spoke to her on the phone twice she sounded very bitchy like she didn't give an effin crap about her job! I'm sorry but if you don't like your job then don't work there ... I'm just saying! I work at an office and that kind of behavior isn't tolerated especially towards patients, so her unprofessional behavior rubbed me the wrong way and I definitely do not wanna go back there.
