I stopped by this Valero gas station to use the car wash service. There used to be a touchless car wash machine here but it got changed to a car wash machine with brushes now. I would avoid any car washes machine with a brush because of the scratches it will cause on your car paint but since we drove far to Fremont and the car was very dirty, I had to. I came in the early morning and paid for the car wash service inside the Valero store. The lady working was very nice with me and explain how the car wash works. Went to JetX at the Vermont Valero for a car wash and honestly it was better than I expected. In and out super fast, no waiting around forever like some places. Best part - the brushes actually don't scratch your paint! I've been burned before by washes that leave those annoying swirl marks, but my car came out clean with zero scratches. Needed a car wash to test for leaks. Current car wash choice has been out of order the past few days. So I tried here on a whim and they have completely updated their wash machine. For example the back right corner area is completely occupied by equipment and pathway. Once you situate your vehicle at the control box, things progress rather easily. A new experience. Program, pay, figure it out. Realize there's a ramp you have to drive up so if your vehicle is lowered do not use this car wash as the ramp is kind of steep. Then it will indicate in green on your left to drive forward till your all the way on the platform. The wash I believe will start and you're supposed to put your vehicle in park as the conveyor will move you forward. I know, strange. Usually you put in neutral, but not here as you'll be kept out from progressing through the wash. First timers figure out. Good wash, decent wash. For $.99 it was pretty thorough. Blown dry, but then some kick up occurred when splotches were shown just after the dry cycle as if recycled air circled around. I can't complain because $.99 for the first wash at this location was chosen for availability. Also be aware that you will drive down a ramp at the same decline as the incline when you entered. Drove out-of-the-way to visit this gas station because of their competitively low gas prices (as advertised on the Gas Buddy App). We were greeted with a hand written sign on the gas pump indicating "system down, cash only". Fine, no biggie. I walked to the cashier - who did not acknowledge my presence as she was multi-tasking and on the phone. It was clear her personal phone call was more important than the growing line of customers. After pre-paying with cash, I made my way back to the pump. I selected premium gas, and attempted to pump. Nothing. Removed the nozzle, re-selected 91 octane and tried again. Again, nothing. For the second time, I walked back to the cashier. This time, I was acknowledged with a look of utter disdain. It was clear the attendant was unhappy I had interrupted her personal phone call yet again. "Oh the reason your pump is not working is because we only have regular, 89 octane gas.", she quipped, before turning around and resuming multi-tasking again. Could you not have advised me before?! Could you not have saved us both the trip - or at least written that on your hand-written signs?? Left feeling annoyed that my time and energy had been blatantly wasted. Heed the other, recent 1 star reviews and avoid this gas station. Valero may be advertising low gas prices - but it doesn't mean they'll have gas for you to pump. I called Valero Corp in Texas. I am so appalled that this guy verbally abused me I took it to Corporate. Someone called me back and had me explain the whole situation. Then they connected the owner Edwin into the call. They got my time wrong and had to go back and watch the video with out interaction. The cashier called the cops bcuz I didn't leave. I said good. I want this documented. They never showed up so I left. Edwin explained about the broken car wash. Edwin explained about all the angry car wash customers. But couldn't explain why his own employee verbally harassed a handicapped person. I said because he could. It's his only power trip. We were alone in the store and he took advantage of the situation and verbally abused me. While I was waiting for the cops to show up. The high school kids showed up Anna his whole attitude changed. He was nice, friendly and quiet. Big change from just a few minutes prior when it was just him and I alone in the store. The Valero rep seemed really bothered by the whole situation. The employees inside are very mean. They get verbally abusive if you come in and ask why the car wash is closed. The car wash has never worked for more than 2 days before it is broken again. CARWASH: The Touchless Carwash here is great! Went inside to pay, entered the code on the monitor before entering the wash It was quick and easy, got all of the dirt/grime off of my car without any scratches to my paint. The dryer at the end stays on for about 90 seconds and does a good job at drying the car off I normally go to Hand Car Wash locations, but they're all closed due to the rain. This was a great alternative for a quick wash I highly recommend using this touchless carwash if you want to avoid scratches on your paint from other regular drive thru carwash locations that use the rotating brushes read more

I had a one day old expired car wash that I forgot to use two weeks ago on a Saturday. I went in that following Sunday and they would not honor the expired car wash ticket. I was told that the owner was the only one that could check to make sure that the code wasn't used. I spoke to the owner today and he would not help me and told me since I didn't use the ticket within his time restriction that he didn't want my business (after I told him I would never bring my business there again). I was excited to find a gas station with an unlimited carwash option in Fremont for my cars utilizing the way.com app. The first run was OK, but with this type of service, I don't expect a full service. The wash is alright on the basis that it is a touchless wash, but the drying still leaves behind a large portion of water and can be a bit improved. My biggest complaint is the amount of downtime of the wash, which the employees have no clue on the status of the wash, whether it be down due for maintenance, repairs or app issues which is different dependent on who I'm asking. I purchased the app in Early April and with the wash being down pretty much almost half the month (4-5 days throughout the week), I won't be renewing my membership. Since I'm in SF often, I'll opt for the Quick Quack unlimited wash plan. read more

Based on my experience today, I'd give this place negative 5 stars if I could. Why? Read on, it's good. I mainly use this car wash for "refresher" washes in between full on hand washing as it does an okay job...usually. Today, I went again as I've done many times. Only this time, half of my car got soaped, and no spot-free rinse which I paid for. The wash left me with soap all over my car. I parked my car and went over to talk to the clerk, and below is to the best of my recollection the transcript of the conversation. It's good enough as a script for a prime time sit-com episode. me (calm): "Hi, I just went through the car wash and it didn't go through the spot-free rinse. There's soap still on my car." clerk (immediately agitated): "I don't know what you're talking about. We don't do spot free here. It's a touch-free wash. What are you talking about?" me (sigh, deep breath, still calm, and repeat what I just said verbatim) clerk (interrupts me before I finish, with even more agitation): "We don't have spot-free. It's a touch free car wash. Where's your receipt? Show me the receipt! Where's your receipt?!" me (starting to be agitated): "Okay fine, I'll get the receipt." me (walk out to the car, get the receipt, walk back) clerk (locked up the store, marching towards me): "Show me your receipt! Show me where it says spot-free! Where's the soap?!" me (give her the receipt) clerk (looks at receipt): "It doesn't say spot-free on it! Where's the soap? I just got a wash last week and it had spot-free. Follow me and I'll show you. It says spot-free on the machine." clerk (walks in the opposite direction back to the store): "Take it up with the manager." me (now complete mad): "Excuse me, what is your name?" clerk (keeps walking) me (starting to be amused): "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. For most consumers, a simple "Sorry about that, but only my manager can give out refunds. Please call or come back when he retruns at 11." would've been fine. Instead, the clerk picked a fight with a customer who has a legitimate issue with the services rendered. UPDATE: I found the number online and called back at 11, and guess what, the manager won't be in until 12. The new clerk (who is actually polite) told me that the earlier clerk has had numerous complaints lodged against her. Why is she still employed? Called back around 12:30 a bunch of times. No answer, pickup and hang up, no answer... hmmmm....convenient. Called back aound 1pm. Got another clerk. Asked for the manager, and she said, in a rude way and elevated voice, she didn't know when the manager will come in. Then hung up. Curiously, both earlier clerks referred to the manager as "she".
