The only reason why I dared to approach this place is because it's on my block and I was in a rush. This is yet another establishment in Washington Heights were the business owners somehow think they are still in DR. I should have known by the signs on the door written in Spanish that this establishment would not be welcoming to non-Spanish patrons. Unfortunately my assertion was correct. The women at the counter who had been with a Spanish-speaking customer in front of me. They were cackling together like old friends. As soon as the customer left and it was my turn to be serviced, there was a complete 360. The room turned icy and her smile quickly turned into a wrinkled upside down frown. The woman at the front desk was super rude, and so was (I assume) the boss lady who was bitterly planted at a desk further back. I should have left right then and then but I had to fax a document to a government office that was closing in 15 minutes. I didn't have enough time to dash to 181st to the UPS store. I gave her my document and told her I needed to fax. I saw that they had a VISA/MAstercard/Discover logo in their window so I knew I would just swipe and be out of there. When I handed my card she looked at me with a disgusted and perplexed looked. She said something to the effect of "20 dollar minimum". I gave her the deepest and longest eye roll I have ever dished out and told her I would be at the ATM down the block and would be right back. I came back and vowed to never return. UPDATE: The fax that I paid for was never received even though I received a confirmation.
