It was dont very poorly the second time. - Areas not painted (raw concrete showing) - Bubbles all over - Tye Dye Effect -some areas have no clear at all I contacted the company, they came out and sanded it and put on a new clear coat -same bubbles , same tye dye effect and still showed raw concrete undermeath I contacted the company, they came out and sanded the "bad" areas and clear coated again - SAME ISSUES Too cold now at this point to redo it. so they just put clear on it one last time just to get by tile spring - now it is super slippery, some spots are done too heavy, some not at all. Company comes back and sands off 20% of the clear with promising to resurface it in the spring. Spring comes - New crew comes back to lightly sand more clear and apply new clear. I said to the crew- so youll see the tye dye effect, raw concrete and bubbles underneath? He said YES. I said well there is no sense in continuing BOSS calls and says he didnt remember the email that he sent stating he would redo it and he cant do ir right away because he has no supplies for it. __ Patio is disarray for 3 months last year, there is NO way i am letting them ruin my summer with a tore up area again. Or letting them on my property because i am positive that they are not capable of fixing it. There crews are terrible. I have a nice polywood patio table, they set their tools on top of it. Spit in my flower bed while talking to me, Bash talk their boss while at a customers home and ruined my edging for my support beams on porch. DO NOT use this company

He was called on the spot and said that he fixed them all last year. Fast forward to my review. now he wants to fix it. I was never happy with the patio (as he states) It bubbled from the start. Then the bubbles peeled. Cant give someone 4 chances to fix a patio. How long have you been in business?? Should have fixed it the second time. I trusted them as professionals and specialists in this type of work, and I could not be more disappointed with the result. I paid $6,000 total, including $1,200 in labor, only to end up with an installation that damaged my home and required my builder to step in and correct it. They subcontracted the install out, and the work performed was sloppy, damaging, and clearly not up to code or manufacturer standards. Instead of following manufacturer guidelines, which call for brackets to be mounted directly to the structure using steel stand-off hardware with properly flashed and sealed penetrations, they took a shortcut. They screwed pressure-treated wood strips through the vinyl siding and used those as the mounting surface for the support brackets. This method is not code-compliant, not weatherproof, and not durable. The pressure-treated wood is exposed to the elements, which means it will swell, shrink, and eventually degrade and fail. More critically, the brackets were installed with enough force to visibly compress and distort the vinyl siding, destroying the Dutchlap profile and compromising the siding's ability to expand and contract. This isn't just a cosmetic issue, it's a long-term moisture intrusion risk that will lead to rot, mold, and hidden structural damage. Every building professional and code expert I consulted confirmed this was improper and amateurish. Worse yet, when I raised these concerns, Jeremy of S & T Coombe didn't acknowledge the mistake, and instead doubled down that this is standard practice and something that they "do all the time". When I continued to push back on the install, he proposed a half-baked fix: they'd remove the pressure-treated wood strips, then cut slits into the vinyl siding, slide the same strips behind it, and reinstall the brackets through those slits, then caulk over the cuts and call it done. To top it off, they said I'd need to sign a liability waiver releasing them from responsibility for any future water damage this method might cause. This wasn't a real solution, it was a cosmetic patch job that still ignored manufacturer guidelines and basic building standards. No flashing, no proper mounting blocks, and no real waterproofing, just a way to cover their tracks and shift the risk to me. This was done to a brand new house, and I now have to pay out of pocket to repair the damage and redo the installation the right way. I've already disputed the labor charge through my bank, but the wasted time, stress, and physical damage to my brand-new home are on them, and they've done nothing to make it right. If you're considering S & T Coombe please take my advice and run the other way. They subcontract incompetently, cut corners with zero hesitation, and when confronted, they try to cover their liability instead of fixing the issue. If they're willing to do work this visibly wrong, imagine what they're doing in areas you can't see. That's not just unprofessional, it's predatory. And let's not forget: this isn't drywall or paint. This is a chimney system, a fire-handling structure that demands precision and strict adherence to safety codes. Shoddy workmanship here doesn't just void warranties or cause leaks, it can lead to fires, carbon monoxide exposure, and catastrophic damage. He then came to the house with the contract we mutually signed and he gave me his start date. I asked him how many workers he had and he stated, "I'm going to get my two nephews." My wife pulled all of her flowers on the one side of the house so Dave could have best access to the foundation he was repairing. We were all set for him on the morning he agreed to start job. He never showed that day. I texted him and got a response that he "had emergency surgery and is going to be laid up for awhile". No one ever contacted me until I reached out to them. Frankly, I don't believe it. The timing is too coincidental. If you read his reviews, he stood up another customer after leading them to believe he was going to do a job for them. I think he couldn't get anyone to help him so he bailed on the job. I texted them back to void the contract completely. Beware him and these other small time tradesmen.
