Fast forward to now, and I had move here to Central Valley with my family, after finding out through a Chamber of Commerce flyer we had one right here in Manteca. I went over to meet the staff and learn about what this location had to offer. For a membership price of $60 a year, my kids had access to homework assistance, STEM activities, Taekwondo 2 day of the week, Local Sports such as basketball, soccer and football. You couldn't find a better placed $60 dollars, and I know this as my children spend way more on Robux and Fortnite skins. I had also learned the staff is trained to handle children with ASD and ADHD which is another plus for those parents who aren't certain about putting their children in an unknown setting. They allow a day pass trial before you sign up so if youre curious to see how your kids about it, have them check it out and then talk about it on the car ride home. There are tremendous social benefits to being a member of the Boys and Girls club, and this location's staff is very friendly and welcoming.

I love this post!…read more I'm a Marine Corps Veteran but only served stateside. With that said, I cannot join the post but the post has invited me to every event, occasion, and gathering. They love all veterans no matter if deployed or not. They give out groceries to veterans once a month and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner of select days once a week (with low charge). They have a beautiful location and lots of space. They have annual car shows and give out bikes to kids for the holidays.

Throughout my time with the agency, the worker Jonanne often pushed placements that were not a good fit for our home. I was never accused of any wrongdoing, but received little support or transparency. If you're considering this agency, especially for kinship care, ask plenty of questions and advocate strongly for what's best for your household.

The staff here does a fantastic job of taking care of countless animals, many of which were abused or neglected. Ethel the pig is a particular favorite of mine, as she is a former test subject from a research lab and still manages to adore human contact. They offer tours that are children friendly, and work very hard to adopt out many of the animals to good homes. I look forward to future volunteer projects here, because they deserve support. She is a real blessing to the city of Manteca to anyone who sees this. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about caring for the cats that fall through the cracks in our community! It's amazing having such an advocate for the small and furry in our town!
