[[HIGHLIGHT]]Jessica & OKR are amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I adopted my Roadie boy thru OKR and he's been the best little one eyed orange boy. She takes in a lot of medical cases since she's a medical rescue & nurses them back to health. I can't recommend OKR enough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank you for my Roadie[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Jessica, Lisa, and the whole volunteer team at OKR is an amazing resource here in town! I've been lucky enough to visit them during a couple adoption events, and they truly care about what they do. They take on troublesome cases that may be more sick or injured than other rescues can handle, and give these forgotten babies so much care and love. They also participate in many outreach events, helping educate on common feline illnesses, and stray population control. I recently brought by what I thought was a sick stray, and Jessica helped me get his chip scanned, administer medicine, and reunite him with his owner. Had he not had an owner, they have an entire quarantine ward of kittens on the mend to assure that everyone stays healthy and happy. If you're thinking of adopting, or even just want to get some kitten therapy, I highly recommend stopping by the rescue to check it out and volunteer your time. They have a reasonable adoption fee that goes straight back into the rescue, getting more kittens fixed and ready for homes with shots. Don't forget to bring a much appreciated bag of kitten food as a thanks for petting the babies!

We adopted our 2 fur babies in 2022 for our daughter. Menudo & Pozole have been such a blessing to our family. Jessica and OKR made the foster to adoption process so enjoyable. We would've never known about OKR if we hadn't seen Jessica on an episode of Good Day! What she and her team of volunteers are doing is an absolute blessing to the community. If you're thinking about adding to your family, all your needs will be met at Orphan Kitten Rescue. If you can't adopt, please consider donating to help support Jessica & OKR.

I found this organization online because my son wanted a kitten. I contacted the organization the entire team is amazing. I love that they have an open house you can interact with the cats. Jessica has literally turned her garage into a cat rescue. The way the garage is remodeled really accommodates all the cats. The entire team is so amazing. The cost is reasonable for everything the cats come with. They get their shots are dewormed as well as get fixed. They make sure you get a carrier to take them home. I would text them with questions and they were beyond helpful. They really know cats and are seriously experts. I got two kittens from them and has literally the best decisions we have ever made. If you are considering getting a cat I only recommend this place they are beyond amazing. I could not thank this place enough to helping me get rid of my son's anxiety. They are beyond 5 stars and we love them so much.

I'd found two newborn kittens in my yard and we were worried for their well-being since the mom was rarely seen. I was scrambling to find a place to take these babies and with just a quick phone call, the wonderful ladies of OKR took them in right away! I have much respect and admiration for their work :)

My daughter wanted a cat during Covid so we visited Jessica and orphaned kitten rescue and what do you know, we ended up getting THREE cats that day! Our old man Mr. Tom got to come home with us the next day while our kittens onyx and Carl had to gain some weight and get fixed first. We couldn't be happier and orphan kitten rescue saves lives!!

The beginning of December we visited Jessica at Orphan Kitten rescue looking for an addition to our family. She was very inviting and we didn't feel any pressure while looking at the kittens. After a while, we felt a connection with our boy Cosmo. Jessica was kind enough to hold him for a few more weeks because we were not ready to bring him home yet. Cosmo fit right in and we couldn't imagine our lives without him. He is so perfect and I'm so grateful for OKR.

We adopted a kitten from the rescue almost a year ago and it was the best decision we ever made! He will be a year old in April. We talked to one of the volunteers and explained what kind of personality of a kitty we needed to fit in with our family. We listed off qualities that we needed and she quickly identified him. She was like, this is the best cat for your family. And boy was she right! He continues to be healthy, happy and just a joy in our home. They made the whole process simple and easy!

I recently moved to the valley for university, and was looking for a cat to adopt as an emotional support animal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jessica was incredibly helpful and accommodating with the whole process.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was so helpful with the whole paperwork process, and I was able to find my perfect kitty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mouse is an absolute sweetheart, and I'm so lucky to have her. If you're looking to adopt, I would definitely recommend OKR. The adoption fee is very reasonable, and absolutely worth supporting such a great rescue.

Was looking around Petfinder to find my old man kitty a companion and came across Daisy! She's a special blind kitty with cataracts, and bonus, polydactyl!! extra beans on each foot!! She's the perfect kitty we've come across for our old boy since we were looking for a low-energy cat. She's purrfect and the sweetest! Adopt! Don't shop! They have many kittens and cats that need a good home since shelters are full! So glad that they're close by and local :)

    Stormy girl!

We love our Stormy girl! She is the sweetest cuddle baby and loves to have long, intense conversations with us, especially in the morning!

When we first arrived there, we noticed how peaceful the place was - none of the incessant barking that you encounter at the local shelter. Their grounds were well maintained. We were told the dogs are let out to run in the yard for 3 hours a day. Their website has a bio on each pet so you can read a background info on each one. Obviously when it's an owner surrender they have more information on the pet, less so if the pet was a stray. But even then, they observe them while at the shelter to give you an idea what to expect. Their system makes it easy to adopt. I recommend sending an application in to get approved first. Once you've been approved, just call to make an appointment to see a dog or cat that you would like to meet. They will hold the dog or cat for you until your appointment. This is different from local city shelters where you might see a dog or cat listed online but it might be gone by the time you get there. Their adoption fee ($350) is fair as my dog was already microchipped and his shots were updated, except for rabies. I was a bit surprised that he was released without updating his rabies. All in all, I would recommend PetsNPals to anyone looking to adopt. They definitely care about the pets and try to make their shelter stay as pleasant as possible. Please adopt, don't shop for a pet.

They will tap into funds to get necessary items like fencing, baby gates, toys, etc. The communication piece is very lacking! I never received any real guidance and not a lot of communication about challenges that my foster dog was having. I asked for a phone conversation and was denied and pretty much just told to keep texting on the app. After my foster dog was picked up to go to training I asked about him and was totally shut down! My foster dog was with me for 10 days and I definitely grew attached to him and when I couldn't get him in the car to go to his vet appointment, I didn't know what to do. The training program came and picked him up, which I was super grateful for, but definitely felt blamed by the rescue.

She is so very sweet, gentle, chill and intelligent, and a perfect fit for us. The foster mom gave us great info about her in advance, as did the adoption coordinator. Since my first amazing experience here ... my senior baby Reptar of 12 years passed away 4/24/26 …read more I wasn't going to share my ending experience but out of love and respect for my sweet boy , I'm going to tell it . The mass ended up being mast cell tumor and the cancer had spread giving me weeks left with him . After his first removal 2/26 , the aftercare seemed like they cared , hence the 5 star review . They called after to check up on him , would answer my calls to any questions I had about his healing and such .. healing was going well . Then he got another big mass shortly after close to where the previous surgery was . We scheduled another removal . The 2nd removal and healing process was HORRIBLE . Engraved in my mind and truly traumatized forever .. and then the after care and treatment we both got from the staff , "supervisor" and vet assistants was beyond heartless . He was prescribed carprofen for his pain meds after surgery even though I asked for rimadyl since he's always taken that for pain . the carprofen had lamb flavor in it causing him to have outbreaks and suffering on top of the cancer attacking his body making his time left here more miserable . I couldn't figure out why or if it was the cancer ?? until I found out there was lamb in the pain pill and he's allergic to lamb .. I didn't know it had flavoring nor was I asked anything about allergies to things like that . I thought they were just normal pain pills being prescribed , I'd break half and put it in mashed potatoes or something soft and he'd just swallow it , he doesn't chew medicine ... so that upset me because he suffered for a while until I stopped giving him the pills and he immediately changed behavior and started acting back to normal and all the reactions settled . He was gushing blood and puss out of his new and old incision even though the old one basically healed , it was infected and forcing its way out reopening the healed scar . I called the office scared asking for advice and some antibiotics and Sam the receptionist really really really made this harder on me than it already was . Her attitude , the lack of empathy and respect she continuously showed throughout our interactions over the phone , lack of urgency when I needed to pass on important messages to Dr.Singh , she would refuse and try to give me her own advice FIRST until I was adamant I wanted it passed on ... I spoke to the office supervisor Shay about her actions because how are you the face of the vet/answering phones and have an attitude like that towards GRIEVING patients whose dog is currently dying ?! Ridiculous . Spoke to an employee named Zaire a couple times in replacement of Sam that were unpleasant as well , both need to be retrained in customer service and BOTH lacked respect and empathy ! It got to a point where he was constantly throwing up and I was researching that they can prescribe nausea pills or give a shot for relief , that option was being denied to me because they wanted me to come back in for another transaction "to see if he really needed them" instead of just prescribing my dying dog the pills at Costco for some relief in his final days ... Dr.Singh wasn't in the office for that request so Dr.Berrar according to what the staff told me , that he wouldn't give me anything until I came back in the office even though we were just there the day before and them all seeing the condition he was in . Shay did eventually offer for me to come in for a shot for 1 day relief FOR NOW but I was already so mentally drained after all the fighting , I got him help elsewhere for that . Dr. Singh told me personally in our visit if I needed anything medication wise to send in the request and he'd get on it and I was constantly being shut down while I'm trying to be an advocate and be strong for my dog while my heart was breaking from losing him .. so so discouraging on top of losing my best friend right in front of my eyes . After he passed away , I had so much hurt and anger towards the recent actions of this vet , I HAD to tell Shay EVERYTHING that happened , bawling my eyes out on the phone and eventually letting her know that he had passed away . $5000 later and my dog isn't here anymore , not once did the staff or Dr. Singh reach out with a call , send a card of condolences or anything . This felt very transactional and not genuine AT ALL . My poor baby suffered soooo much his last days and I was doing my ALL to fight for him and get him the help he needed , just for it all to be too late . All I have left to say is .... I hope the staff I dealt with never have such a deep attachment to someone special or an animal the way I did and be treated how I was while I was going and AM going through this HELL time , instead of being comforted and supported . Reptar deserved way more respect and love than what he got from this office , he was nothing but loving to them and a senior boy in his last days . My heart is beyond shattered . Gutted .
