Jerald Feinland is my doctor and he is wonderful. He has treated me for 25 years, and I brought both my daughter and my mother to him. He is kind, competent, and flexible. While being professional he also has a sense of humor, which I appreciate. He takes my concerns seriously and submits the requests that I have for referrals or prescriptions in a timely way. I highly recommend him. And I have found the other staff at VMG to be professional and polite. Yes, there can be long wait times on hold and in the office, but many primary care doctors have left the field due to the problematic health system, so let's treat the ones who have stayed with some respect and appreciation! read more

I haven't seen a M.D. in many, many years. All care by NP , or associate. I understand there are few physicians going into general medical care. So far I'm ok with my care. I do get the time I need to ask questions. I would, however, agree that it would be great to see a M.D. Many health care workers leave to go to speciality care only. read more

The one star is for the friendly receptionists. The doctor diagnosed me with anemia and did not provide any treatment, only a two-week follow-up appoitment. The disease is lethal if not treated timely. Please avoid this practice where the medical staff is incompetent and unempathetic to the patient's conditions. read more

Hands down the worst medical care in the valley. A family member was suffering and called. The nurse said sounds like a virus. Three days later, still horribly sick. Text at home for flu- has type A flu. Can't use Tamiflu- why? Because it's been over 48 hours. Maybe the nurse could have thought of that? This is after my own experience being treated horribly for months! And heads up there's a few doctors who are good and they are leaving. read more

LATE LATE LATE LATE LATE. When you make an appointment, they people do not tell you if the doctor is on time. We waited soooo long, then asked and the lady says "oh she's always late, running over an hour late today". Um, why the hell would you have a patient come in on time, then ask them to sit without telling them the doctor will take over an hour past the schedule time to even see you. This place is run very poorly. Expect to waste your entire day here. If you're 80 and have nothing to do, I guess it's fine. But if you have a life, and scheduling an appointment has meaning to you, run far away from this sh**thole. read more

Completely dismissive of any billing issues. Twice in the last year I was billed for 'services' that my insurance didn't cover. Each time, I contacted the billing department and I may as well have been speaking to a recording. No investigation whatsoever. Just a "sucks to be you" attitude. I came in after an emergency after becoming unconscious with severe abdominal pain but the practitioner put in my office visit as the primary reason for my visit was smoking cessation! I wanted a referral to a gastroenterologist which was requested by the gastroenterologist doc but didn't get it. She also wanted to address if I was depressed. Mildly addressed my emergency but not her focus. The reception department is fantastic as was the nurse who called me saying I should come in. I waited over an hour in the exam room after waiting 35 minutes in the waiting area. I honestly thought I'd been forgotten in the exam room and almost left and frankly now feel that I should have. I wonder how Medicare will be billed for this since it lists things I was not there to be seen for. read more

I was assigned a doctor who has now left. Do they assign you another doctor- NO!! They say they have a sports medicine doctor but he has no more credentials than his peers. You never get an immediate answer. You either stay on line for hours or leave a message that falls into an abyss. read more

The worse medical treatment out there... Warning. So rushed and dismissive attention given.

Almost too many things... Where to begin... I was rarely able to see my provider, except at my annual physical. Even when specifically requesting an appointment to be made with my PCP, I couldn't get one. It's the luck of the draw. And whoever you end up seeing usually has no idea what you saw the previous person for. Absolutely no continuity of care. I had two pretty crummy misdiagnosis issues in 2022, things that really ruined my quality of life for a number of months. One was a post-Covid inflammation issue. I was unable to see my PCP, because since I used the word "throat" in my description of my problem, they freaked out about Covid and made me go to the respiratory clinic. If I am vaccinated and all of your providers are vaccinated, why can't I get an in-person appointment with my PCP? After 2 times for the same issue in the respiratory clinic for a non-respiratory problem, then I was finally able to see an NP who diagnosed it as an ear infection and referred me to an ENT. Except the antibiotics did nothing for my symptoms because it wasn't an ear infection (confirmed by the ENT I saw). The antibiotics, however, have caused such lasting damage to my stomach and esophagus that I now have GERD and am seeing a GI. I also had an acute gynecological issue that was misdiagnosed as a yeast infection. Because my stomach was a wreck, I was prescribed terconazole cream. Turns out, it wasn't a yeast infection--no positive culture was ever found. But I had a pretty bad reaction to the yeast infection cream. And even though my yeast cultures were negative, they kept telling me it was probably yeast or other infection, kept swabbing me for things that I was continually negative for and offering me yeast infection medicine before they received test results. No thank you. I couldn't wear pants, I was in so much pain. By the time I got to a gynecologist, he was appalled that no one had recognized that the yeast infection cream had chemical-burned all my skin off in that area and that was causing my continued issues. Easily treatable! I could have had relief much earlier if anyone paid attention. Whatever caused the initial problem, he had no idea. But no test ever came back positive, so it was likely a skin allergy or other dermatological problem. The few times I was able to see my PCP, she didn't speak much. I asked a lot of questions, and she answered them ok. But often when I would see the notes from my visit, there were things on there that she just never said to me. Like I have pretty chronic sleep issues, which I mentioned. And notes would say "Discussed good sleep habits." Nope... We didn't discuss my sleep habits. I mentioned I have sleeping troubles and you told me when I'm ready I could see a sleep specialist. Or "Discussed taking [medication] for issue but patient wants to try lifestyle modification" but no. We didn't. We set up a plan for lifestyle modification because you suggested that first, saying we'd try that before trying medication. Which I'm fine with, but don't blame me as the patient, making it sound like I don't want medication if you offer a plan and I agree. I have now changed providers and am seeing a doctor elsewhere. I do not recommend this practice. read more

I waited nearly three months for an appointment with a sports medicine doctor. When I arrived for my appointment I had three nagging injuries, two of which I consider quite serious. I was told by the medical assistant that Valley Medical policy is that the Dr. will only see you for one injury at a time - I thought she was joking until the doctor in fact only looked at one of my issues and was out of the office in under five minutes. Instead of signing up for PT as recommended I walked out and will NEVER return - you do what you want. read more

I had an appointment for a full physical after a 45 minute wait Dr Lopez was cold, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. She barely acknowleged my concerns and acted like it was dumb for me to even be there. I simply took the appropriate referrals, and a tetnus shot (from the kind medical assistant) and got out of there. Now I have to make another appointment to have an actual physical with an actual professional. Dr Lopez's attitude was inexcusable. She behaves as though her patients are an imposition. I would prefer an in person appointment and I understand that Covid made it made it difficult, but Valley Medical was ridiculous. They see absolutely no patients in person. I broke my finger, they wouldn't see me so I went to urgent care and they helped and sent me to Hampshire Orthopedic, who was seeing patients in person. My dentist saw me 4 times for cleanings and a crown, my optometrist saw me in person, even an acupuncturist sees me in person. Valley Medical horrid even not durning Covid, but their refusal to see patients in person is ridiculous. It's not like they are ER doctors and are super high risk for exposure. I have had a back and knee problem for months and need in person PT, Valley Medical won't see me in person. I am in excruciating pain and other problems are arising from this and they won't even refer me to a physical therapist that is doing in person. They probably got their Covid shots like other health care professionals, but still won't see people. I should be on the list to get my vaccinations for Covid due to severe asthma, but they have not scheduled me. Many teachers are back in person working with students and Valley Medical is hiding behind a computer screen. I wish I could give zero stars. I am thinking malpractice lawsuit but it won't make a difference, they are an awful place. read more

I had switched to Valley Medical Group from another practice that seemed to have no time for me. This practice is even worse! Here are the facts: 1) They work in 15 minute increments. You cannot go over, no matter your problem. 2) The bill for 30 minute appointments, even though they see you for 15 minutes. Wait until the insurance companies find out. 3) You cannot see a Doctor (or PA) for more than 1 ailment during a visit. If you have two issues, you have to make two separate appointments. No, I'm not kidding. 4) All Doctors are full, except the two worst Doctors on the planet. They barely made it through second-rate medical schools and have basically been thrown out of their previous practices for "undisclosed" issues. 5) They only look out for themselves, and will not do the right thing if it involves any risk for them, i.e. prescribing proper medications. 6) Their referral network is very small, and I do believe they get a kickback for each referral. It's not in the patients best interest at all. 7) If you are a Doctor that is not a partner, you have no say in how the operation is run and they make you work 20 hour days. It makes for a culture of errors. All in all, avoid this practice at all costs. Go see someone who will know your name and will take the time to help you as the patient, and not just focus on making money off you. That is NOT healthcare. So very disappointed, especially with Dr. Fred Kim. He might be the most undertrained and insecure Doctor I have ever seen work. What a nightmare. read more

Excellent practice, although I cannot recommend Dr Joel Feinman. My husband went to see him about a urinary/prostate problem, and instead of receiving a supportive manner from Dr. Feinman, my husband received a lecture about marital infidelity. Dr. Feinman assumed, incorrectly, that my husband had contracted an STD. We feel that any other practitioner in the group is superb, especially Dr. Perry. read more

Be prepared for a wait, they are usually way behind schedule. I have found the lab to be running 15 minutes late at 7:30 A M. Trying to get seen for something urgent can be a challenge as they try to schedule you 4-6 weeks out, regardless of what the problem is. I have been seen by several different practitioners and really am not impressed by any. They seem to practice cook book medicine, if you don't have all the symptoms, there is no diagnosis. Unfortunately, this seems to be the current standard of medical care. read more

I never wait more than a few minutes, sometimes not even for a minute. Dr Dumont is my doctor, responsive and perceptive. Nobody gets much time with your doctor anymore, but my experience with her is that she will make sure you understand what's wrong and what to do. I'm very happy with the her and with the practice in general. read more

Regarding the previous poster: Dr Joel Feinman is a psychiatrist so I doubt your huband saw him for urinary trouble.

The wait times are very long. They will try to contact you relentlessly to schedule an appointment. They send automated calls over and over again telling you that you are due to come in (even when your not). They also send letters to your home for the same thing. I asked them to stop and they said that it is policy of Valley Medical Group to make sure people see there doctor on a regular basis. It is harassment. I was told by the office manager she can't make it stop!! Huge waste of time!! read more

I have been to valley medical Easthampton about 6 times total, I have had one good experience. The other times i have spent at least 20 min in the waiting room, the front desk and billing department are very rude and unhelpful. One visit to valley medical I received a phone call 2 min before my scheduled appointment while I was sitting in the waiting room. When The nurse came out she did not apologize she informed me that she was too busy that day to call and let me know that they had to cancel the appointment. When I let them know I had driven over a half hour because I had traveled from school she let me know it was not her problem and I could reschedule my appointment. When i filed a complaint they brushed it off. They make many mistakes and if I could give zero stars I would. I do not recommend the Easthampton branch to anyone. read more

I have no idea what Melissa is talking about. Dr Lopez is amazing and I know several other people that have her and she is highly recommended by all! I was surprised by her personable attitude that so many younger doctors are laking these days (and I work in the medical field). She is always very thorough and friendly. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because of the older curly hair blond woman in the blood lab. I have been there several times and she is ALWAYS late and ALWAYS b*tchy. At 7am she took in a 9 year old at my appointment time and it took them 25 minutes just to draw blood because the kid was freaking out. Don't get me wrong... I feel the pain that kid is going thru, but it was my appointment time and I have to drop my kid off at daycare and go to work!! Hence why I made a 7:15 appointment.
