What a fabulous find! We came in for lunch but left with so much more - chocolate pecans, pie, specialty butters, caramel... Our lunch was FANTASTIC! Each of us ordered a different sandwich and every single one was delicious. They all came with unique bread - a croissant, pretzel bun, wheat bread and ciabatta - and they all were fresh and then lightly toasted. We couldn't leave without treats! The pecan pie is AMAZING!! You can sit to eat in the cafe or take your items to go. If you stick around, there's also lots to shop for including homemade goods, unique home goods, artwork, antiques and more. Lunch is excellent, bathrooms are clean, tons of great shopping - new, antique, kitchen items, sweets. I dare you to go and *not* buy something. I had been wanting this framed photo of a bear they had for years but we never had room in the car before until recently (we got an overhead trunk). I finally got him! Excellent price, this is actually art with professional grade framing and glass, not something you can pick up at Target. It's a convenient stop both ways, and the highlight is interacting with the friendly staff and picking out our favorite bags of pecans. The pricing is great but the quality and taste is the best whether you're just eating them plain or as part of my wife's awesome chocolate chip cookies. No, so don't be surprised to find Ridiculous prices for pecans (they grow on trees) Nonetheless, This is a really nice gift store and place to stop if you'd like to do the ladies with you a favor and offer them better eats than a green burrito from All-sup's. Totally unexpected place: restaurant and shop. The menu could be at any light lunch spot in a much bigger city. Pimento cheese, chicken salad, soup, interesting green salad. Nice baked goods Ambiance: Put that restaurant in a cool cookware, Mexican import, antique store with very good prices and it's a winner! If you're on the road from Amarillo to anywhere in north Texas or north Texas to New Mexico or Colorado, plan on stopping here for lunch. read more

A Pier 1 Imports meets a Cracker Barrel in the middle of nowhere Texas. I discovered the Karma brand here and I love it! Such a cute store with the most unique lamps, bags, totes, and gifts. I bought a Karma Jute tote bag here that was deeply discounted for about $15 (www.karmagifts.com) and it looks like an expensive $100 Longchamp Le Pliage tote (super light with vegan leather handles). So glad that I discovered the Karma brand. I love my Karma tote! read more

So Valley Pecans was a nice place for my co-worker and me to stretch our legs. They not only sell tons of candy, but they also have a new café area (with brownies the size of Frisbees) that was built last month, wine, knick knacks, kitchen utensils, toys, books, and of course, pecans in every way you can imagine. Thanks for such a delicious meal. The pecans are the bomb too. Thanksgiving and Christmas will be tasty this year. They are grown locally on the owner's farm. Now that is wholesome. What a treat! My husband and I have relatives in The Panhandle so we travel through Chilicothe several times a year. We eat at their deli/restaurant because the food is fresh, delicious and delivered with a smile. On our last visit my husband had the cream of potato soup and threatened to dive into the bowl because it was so good. My favorite is the Grilled Chicken Salad which was on a bed of dark green, super fresh lettuce. They gave a generous portion of chicken, by the way. Along with fresh tomatoes, pecans and feta, I elected to try the Mango Vinaigrette as my dressing - YUMMY! This place is adorable - I gave it a 4 Star because one would not expect this ambience, menu option and cute store on this patch of north Texas in the middle of nowhere! Our family ordered sandwiches- Grilled cheese, Reuben and Chicken pesto, all of which were nicely toasted with a good balance of meat and trims. I had a half salad with red raspberry vinegrette with my sandwich and it was fresh and healthy. Driving through town on our way home to Central Texas spotted the sign about pecans. Very cute store. Not expected to see on the highway in a small town. Inside has a cafe but we didn't try it.
