    two bites on arms
    Alissa S.

Came for an family member's out patient procedure. The procedure was fine and patient had no complaints. However, we were told to wait in the Lobby, which was FULL of mosquito's. I had my teens with me and within 5 minutes (no exaggeration on time) they each had SIX mosquito bites. My teen said there were 4 mosquitos biting him at once when he looked down. I immediately went to the front desk to tell them because we had to wait for at least an hour and this waiting area was not adequate considering the obvious mosquito-bourne disease risk they have going in there. He knew about the issue and did not have any bug sprays or anything to immediately help. However, he did tell us about two areas we could go to in order to be away from the infestation. We did move, but then of course our patient came out and had no idea where we had gone. I think it is absolutely unacceptable for the hospital to have such a MASSIVE mosquito infestation and then tell patients families to wait in that lobby. The mosquitos are biting guests, patients, sick people, staff, security and not to mention mosquitos, especially in LA county, have so many mosquito-borne illness'. It is the hospital's job to control any infestation especially because they are a health facility treating many different patients. Some patients who have blood-borne illnesses. I will be telling our referring physician not to send patients there if they can help it due to this experience. Now my kids have HUGE welts and are covered in bites from just 5 minutes sitting there. I can't imagine what they would look like if we waited the whole 1-1.5 hours in that lobby getting eaten alive.

    After C Section

I'm honestly unsure why there are so many bad reviews for this hospital. It makes me sad that not everyone had the same experience I did, because everything went perfectly for me. I went in for a scheduled C-section, and the entire experience was great. All of the nurses took such good care of me and were incredibly attentive. They even made sure my husband was comfortable, which meant a lot to us. I did have an allergic reaction to the iodine, but that was due to my own allergy that I didn't even know I had. The staff handled it right away and made sure I was taken care of. Before leaving, they even gave me extra materials to take home for both me and my baby. The nurses were so kind and supportive that I already miss them. I'm very grateful for the care I received here.

Be prepared to wait many hours to be seen in their ER, in addition, they are breaking HIPPA laws as well as contaminating the lobby area. Their Phlebotomy technician goes around with his cart collecting blood from all the patients in the lobby. In addition he will ask questions like if they have anemia or any blood condition in front of everyone in the lobby. This place will be reported for all the violations they are breaking.

Here is my piss that has been sitting here for 4 hours and she's came in during this 4 hours and has not gotten rid of it

Worst hospital you could ever go to!! They don't care about you if anything they are annoyed by you if you ask them questions or if you're crying. They will lie to you and say they are busy with a patient who's "dying" which was a lie. They will make up any excuse to save their asses. They profile you they assume crazy things about you. That aren't true. They will ignore you if they don't like the question that you asked because it is annoying them. It's the worst hospital I've ever been to and the only reason why I have to be here is because my surgeon did my surgery here so I always have to come here

I am going to be delivering at this hospital soon, my question is, is there free parking or a good place to park?. Rather have my car there instead of having someone pick us up. Thanks in advance.

There is no free parking however they do offer parking passes that have you covered for multiple days and you can go in and out as many times if you need. They were a few options depending on how long you will be staying. Upon admission they did…

I'm currently pregnant how many people can go in with me during birth, are there any regulations and requirements for them to enter?

I was told you can have a max of 2 people however I wasn't told of any regulations or requirements so I was just double check with your nurse or OB

    911. How do I get a CERTIFIED copy of my birth certificate I was born in this hospital pls advise?

In most states you get a birth certificate from a city clerk of the county you were born in.

I was told I have to pre-register for L&D in person is this true? I had issues with insurance and now I have to deliver at this hospital but my previous hospital pre-registration was online or by phone.

I just gave birth there ... I went in person to fill out the paperwork. It was quick & good to go see the facility where you will deliver I had a c section & they were great & caring. It's a good clean non busy hospital. Just call & ask for l&d…

The reviews on google vs the reviews on yelp have me confused as to if I should delivery our baby here? Has anyone delivered via c-section? How was your honest experience?

I had a c section there. They were all really nice were able to help me since I couldn't really move right after surgery. I was put in a big room (we thought we were having a regular birth) and it was nice and cozy big enough for my family. And then…

Hi I'm planning to deliver in that hospital, is it a good safe clean place for delivery?

I felt that it was clean and nice. After my water broke the bed was so wet and I didn't feel comfortable they actually changed my sheets and everything it felt nice. And they took really good care of me after I had a c section

Any recent reviews on delivering at Valley Pres? The clinic I go to for prenatal care is affiliated with Valley Pres therefore I have no option of other hospitals, only Valley Pres so I wanted to know some reviews or experiences of delivering here?

GO THERE !!! they are awsome ladys that go above and beyond . They are great and they are super super helpful and full fill all your needs. 😊 best of luck !

When I left that day, I felt a deep sense of peace and confidence knowing my uncle was truly in good hands. On the 30th, we were blessed to have Charles again. When I called the nurse's station, he went above and beyond by asking the nurse to give me his work phone number so I could communicate directly with him. That level of compassion, accessibility, and commitment is rare and meant so much to our family during a stressful time. Mission Community Hospital is truly blessed to have Charles Robinson on their team. He exemplifies what it means to provide above-and-beyond nursing care, and he absolutely deserves recognition for his professionalism, kindness, and dedication to his patients and their families.

I recently visited this hospital which from what I could tell mostly catering to the indigent population. This hospital is right in my own back yard and I never even knew it was there. Wait times were excessively long for what seemed like no reason. I was there for two days and most of the staff seemed to be goofing off instead of tending to patients. My regular hospital is Cedar Sinai. There I get bombarded with a request for my birthday every 15 minutes. It is considered a secondary form ID, which is required by law. I was never asked once for mine here even though blood was drawn, X-rays were taken, I was asked to pee in a cup and I was given medication. I i'm showing this wristband with little worry because the information is so far from being correct that it doesn't matter. No one ever noticed. I guess there, close enough is good enough. Employees kept asking me questions without identifying who they were and then got mad when I asked. My name is not correct, Neither is my birthday. By law those are the two major identifiers which must be confirmed before any action can be taken. I know because I am a licensed phlebotomist. It is a low key medical facility masquerading as a hospital with low key staff that don't give a crap! The only correct information on this ID bracelet is my last name.

Instead of feeling cared for during a vulnerable moment, I felt like I was an inconvenience. I also personally observed a member of the nursing staff asleep at the nurses' station while I was still a patient, which raised concerns about attentiveness and patient care. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, professionalism, and empathy. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I sincerely hope the hospital takes these concerns seriously and works to improve how patients are treated.

Two days later, I took her to her pediatrician, where they immediately did a simple throat swab and diagnosed her with Strep throat. This is something that could have and should have been caught during our hospital visit. It is incredibly frustrating and upsetting to feel like my child's symptoms were dismissed and not properly evaluated. At one point, the doctor said, "At this point it sounds like you're lying. I don't believe you because you keep changing your story." Hearing that as someone trying to seek help after a traumatic experience was devastating. This type of response is exactly why many survivors are afraid to come forward. I was shocked because I came to a medical professional for guidance and care -- I did not know what exams or tests I needed. I requested a female doctor, but I was told none were available. Because I no longer felt comfortable or safe continuing care there, I decided to leave. Before leaving, I asked about the pregnancy test they said they would do, and I was told it would not be done because I was leaving. I was then asked to sign paperwork stating that if i d*e after leaving, it would not be their responsibility. After this experience, I went to the UCLA Rape Treatment Center, I was treated with kindness, patience, and respect. They listened to me and helped me through the process. I hope this review encourages medical professionals to remember that patients coming in after trauma need compassion, not judgment.
