First issue. Front of hospital entrance, where they have their valet parking is also where they have the handicapp parking. They have a lot or handicapp parking at front where I parked. I asked the valet guy, I have a handicapp placard, do I still have to pay for parking $10 he replied yes. Not happy about that. 2 issue - Bathroom at front entrance nasty! The cold water did not work, seat covers all over the floor. Under sink the floor looked nasty. The latch to flush toilet was nasty. The whole bathroom looks outdated and dirty. 3rd - Issue went to waiting room (2nd floor same day surgery). There were 2 large trash bins on wheels blocking 1/2 the entrance, walked in to see worker sitting in waiting room eating lunch or something, she didn't get up to move those bins. That's a first to walk in a waiting room and worker sitting and eating all while blocking entrance. 4th issue for now - Brought husband for same day procedure/surgery. They said be here by 1pm, surgery scheduled between 2pm-3pm. What's with the between! Just found out 1/2 ago. They are behind schedule, they haven't even done the patient scheduled for 12pm. I'm concerned about lack of responsibility to have a schedule. If it were me, I'd walk out now and tell my Doctor to schedule my surgery at another hospital!! I'll be back with an update. read more

This place was absolutely incredible. The hospital is very clean. I got a private room. It's very well set up with equipment and honestly looked like a good movie about doctors. Everyone gave me so much warmth and attention, starting from the ER, then into the hospital and the staff that prepared me for the operation and the care after. I wrote several recommendation letters regarding the staff here. The doctors were amazing, very knowledgeable and willing to take a bit of time and talk to you. The nurses knew the smallest details of my information and passed information over to the next shift next day. Specifically wanted to mention Male Nurse - Neiman, thank you for your care and attention man! And you're so knowledgeable hope you'll be a doctor, to enrich lives of many patients! And Nurse Alexis , thank you for showing so much love towards your patients! Appreciate you guys! I felt very well taken care of and very safe. Valley Presbyterian Hospital ER security told me cigarettes weren't allowed. I stepped inside for seconds to check on my friend and came right back. My belongings were immediately disposed of without warning or chance to retrieve them. When I asked, the staff member was rude, dismissive, and did not apologize. Came for an family member's out patient procedure. The procedure was fine and patient had no complaints. However, we were told to wait in the Lobby, which was FULL of mosquito's. I had my teens with me and within 5 minutes (no exaggeration on time) they each had SIX mosquito bites. My teen said there were 4 mosquitos biting him at once when he looked down. I immediately went to the front desk to tell them because we had to wait for at least an hour and this waiting area was not adequate considering the obvious mosquito-bourne disease risk they have going in there. He knew about the issue and did not have any bug sprays or anything to immediately help. However, he did tell us about two areas we could go to in order to be away from the infestation. We did move, but then of course our patient came out and had no idea where we had gone. I think it is absolutely unacceptable for the hospital to have such a MASSIVE mosquito infestation and then tell patients families to wait in that lobby. The mosquitos are biting guests, patients, sick people, staff, security and not to mention mosquitos, especially in LA county, have so many mosquito-borne illness'. It is the hospital's job to control any infestation especially because they are a health facility treating many different patients. Some patients who have blood-borne illnesses. I will be telling our referring physician not to send patients there if they can help it due to this experience. Now my kids have HUGE welts and are covered in bites from just 5 minutes sitting there. I can't imagine what they would look like if we waited the whole 1-1.5 hours in that lobby getting eaten alive. read more

These people are unbelievable,I was visiting a friend of mine 2245A and the lies and neglect I personally heard and seen started I noticed before getting to the room and elderly woman looked at me as I walked by her door said help please I told staff and they just acted as if I never told them I ,they told me my friend couldn't leave she was in physical therapy all week my friend said no she hadn't even seen one ,she has been there days and all she has been doing is laying there ,she took some antibiotics that's it,she wanted to self discharge because of the neglect from staff all we needed was her to be wheeled down to the car which they said didn't have,on my way out the elderly lady asked me for help again so I told staff 3 of which were outside her room talking in another language on my way out the door I passed a wheelchair just sitting by the exit .my wife told her to get some rest and we will pick our friend up in the morning.i never knew they were so callused from it all. read more

I'm honestly unsure why there are so many bad reviews for this hospital. It makes me sad that not everyone had the same experience I did, because everything went perfectly for me. I went in for a scheduled C-section, and the entire experience was great. All of the nurses took such good care of me and were incredibly attentive. They even made sure my husband was comfortable, which meant a lot to us. I did have an allergic reaction to the iodine, but that was due to my own allergy that I didn't even know I had. The staff handled it right away and made sure I was taken care of. Before leaving, they even gave me extra materials to take home for both me and my baby. The nurses were so kind and supportive that I already miss them. I'm very grateful for the care I received here. read more

It's sad to know a hand full of nurses want to fight for you to help you but can't because they are told not to by the drs. I got brought to a room for them to tell me I was supposed to stay in er and now that I'm here I can't get the meds I need bc they don't give it on this floor and then the dr prescribed me a medicine I'm deathly allergic to and won't respond yo the nurses. I got here at 12 it's now 3am and I still haven't gotten my meds!! I asked to go back to er since this was THEIR mistake and they told me I'd have to do the process all over again! My face is now bleeding from an allergic reaction from meds I took in er so I asked for b Benadryl that was at 12 and he still has not replied to the nurses. The nurses feel so bad and they said they can't help me. This place is really like hell. Especially in certain floors in the hospital. read more

I will highly recommend the Valley Presbyterian Hospital. I had surgery done at the Neurospine Institute by a highly skilled surgeon Dr. Taylor Carson on 4/30/2026. I had two discs replacement with fusion, cervical surgery. From the admitting process, surgery, post surgery care and throughout the rehabilitation process. l can't stop praising the amazing caring service, l have received. I was so happy that l had room to myself, l was very pleased, as my pain level was super high. I wouldn't be able to make it with other patients next to me. The nurses were so incredibly attentive and loving working around the clock. The rehabilitation center was absolutely providing service above and beyond. THANK YOU. Be prepared to wait many hours to be seen in their ER, in addition, they are breaking HIPPA laws as well as contaminating the lobby area. Their Phlebotomy technician goes around with his cart collecting blood from all the patients in the lobby. In addition he will ask questions like if they have anemia or any blood condition in front of everyone in the lobby. This place will be reported for all the violations they are breaking. read more

The staff are amazing, knowledgeable, and caring! The ER is very busy, but once you are inpatient the staff are very attentive.

So very rude, I just asked a simple question and she was rude and making sound like I was dumb and she was very impatient, she shouldn't even work there if she's going to be rude to people and make me sound dumb, her attitude was disrespectful and disgusting! My husband was brought here due to a heart incident and they are the only closest Cardio lab at the moment although we have a different heath insurance provider. Well, I am not shocked by the bad reviews. But I am surprised when I was here back in November for urgent care, I was treated with the utmost respect and hospitality. I was in the area, and I needed some help with the pain in my foot which is called foot gout. I came inside the urgent care about 2 or 3pm. There were not too many people in the waiting room. So I only waited 25minutes until they took care of me. However, they have lots of young people working here. I was given a dose of pain medicine, and the doc that looked at me put me on a 2 week prescription. I have healthcare insurance, so billing was no problem for me. My mother had a surgery there, it went well and the nurses were very caring however when it came to recovery they continuously asked if we were ready to leave when clearly my mother was still in agony. It was persistent asking and i'm not talking every 30 minutes. It was almost every 5-6 minutes and we felt pressured to leave sooner which was so odd. To add, one of the nurses working with us gave us wrong aftercare medical information when it came to the bandages and did not correctly put on my mother's arm brace the way it should causing extreme discomfort resulting in an ER visit. read more

I'm fairly healthy and don't get to the hospital much, but over the past four years or so I've been here twice and both times I couldn't have been treated better! They all seem sweet, kind and ultra-professional. I had to go here for a shoulder injury today. Sally (a nurse) was especially on her game, keeping me informed on what was going on, x-rays, etc. She even got me a sling! It all seemed like a very well-oiled machine. I'd give 0 stars, Dr Shane is terrible, the nurses are incredibly rude and rushed me out when i was in severe pain. "Dr" and "nurses" were so inconsiderate and just put me on sedative when I continually asked if they can check on my spine because this is serious, "Dr" Shane said no because it's "too much radiation" and to just take over the counter tylenol and benadryl. I refused to get discharged until i got checked, they forced me to get discharged and did not check on anything besides putting me on an iv and morphine rather than actually taking a deeper look. They said "we need this room for someone else". Shoutout to the first nurse, Paolo that clocked out after setting me up, he would have helped me so much more and was so kind, rather than everyone else that was absolutely horrible, no empathy towards patients at all. read more

When your daughter is violently sick out of no where and has excruciating pain near her appendix, this is the ER you want to go to. *Please ignore the low star reviews. A lot of cranky people wrote them who don't get the fact that the wait at ANY ER is going to exceed at least 4 hours depending on what you need. From the minute we checked in at 8:00pm, we were greeted with a smile and a warmth that made us feel like we were in good hands. The nurses, PA's, Dr.'s and staff were very thorough and attentive. The longest wait was in between test results. Nicole Finnegan, the Physician's Assistant, was awesome. There are no words to express how kind and sweet this young lady was. She explained every test and result to us. She did not let us leave without an answer about what was causing my daughter's pain. This PA knew exactly what she was doing and consulted the doctor on staff with every test result. Together they figured out that my 20 year old had a very tiny "kidney stone" passing through her system. They ruled out everything else as the night went on. Karolina , a traveling nurse from Michigan, was fabulous. She took very good care of Ella. Went ti the urgent care who refereed us to the ER. They neglected to tell us it was a looong walk to the ER! Not good on a hot day for someone w a heart condition. Could of told us to drive instead! Then we get to ER and go to EMERGENCY CHECK IN only to be yelled at to stand BEHIND THE RED LINE while the 3 receptionists are chit chatting and eating. We waited a good 15 min just ro get checked in even though they were not busy. My friend was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and when she required more care than she could receive elsewhere, she was admitted to this hospital. At first, this seemed like a good solution as she'd have a nurse close by 24/7 to keep her hydrated and medicated. However, this hospital is woefully understaffed. She would call for assistance and wait over an hour, sometimes longer, for anyone to respond despite her very close proximity to the nursing station. She would telephone me screaming in pain and I'd get in the car and drive there from West Hollywood which often took 45 minutes or longer. I'd arrive to find she still hadn't received any medication and when I requested help, we often waited another 45 minutes to an hour for someone to assist her. I get it, she was dying so why put too much effort into her care but at least keep her comfortable. Additionally, despite my bringing a signed copy of her Advanced Health Care Directive naming me and her nephew as her care givers, this document was never entered into their computer system so each time we called to check on her or when I was there in person wishing to speak with someone, I had to show them the paperwork. In most situations, family or guardian contact information is written on the white boards in each patient's room but not here. We only found out that she died because her nephew happened to call when a nurse had just checked on her. Although we had power over her after death as well, her nephew and I had to fight with the nursing staff to make arrangements to pick up her belongings. Her nephew was told that her ruby/gold earrings - family heirlooms - would accompany her to the funeral home and we could get them there but her extra clothing and phone would stay at the hospital and be left at the security desk When I drove there to retrieve these items, security couldn't find them. They called the nursing station and was told they didn't have them either. We have called there over a dozen times and no one seems to know what happened to her items nor will anyone call us back. The funeral home that handled her cremation is a trusted facility that I've used over the years without any incident. When they logged in my friend's remains, there was no jewelry on her body. Someone at the hospital removed them and either put them wherever the rest of the things are stashed or took them home. Quality patient care is not something one will receive at this hospital. And clearly you cannot leave anything of value with a patient. Very disappointing and disturbing. read more
