He never lost his cool even though it required multiple calls to my doctor's office. He was helpful, efficient, and thorough. And everyone who works here that I've encountered has been friendly. One of the ladies at the front desk of radiology was wonderfully proactive in checking when a technician could come and see me. Much appreciated. Biggest down side is if you park in the lot to the right of the hospital (near Renaissance Imaging), you have to walk a ways to get to the hospital entrance. And if you want validation, you may get a bit of a run around. To get my ticket validated, security referred me to Admin's front desk. Admin's front desk referred me to security and radiology to get it. When I went to radiology, they had to run to the front where security was because they ran out of validation stickers.

When entering the building, be prepared to have your ID because you need it to get a printed badge. They scan the ID, prints a sticker with your complete name, date, and room number. They have different colors for different days. The staff in ICU and adult ICU were so attentive, welcoming, and friendly. They kept me up to date with information like no other hospital. Most of the doctors my friend had were great. Dr. Williams / Dr. Yeganeh team definitely made sure that I was always well informed of any procedures needed and taking place. In the regular recuperating rooms, the staff was just a click away from the patient's controller in the room. The same controller to watch TV. BTW, they were playing the FIFA games in English and Spanish. I was quite surprised that the level of care was outstanding.

It's been 2 weeks and we have never been called with blood test results, I called to see about getting a handicapped sign and was told why didn't we ask someone when she was in the hospital for it, and to ask someone else at one of the specialist office to do it. Supposedly this is the primary care. Terrible service, Dr Leon and staff do not care about patients, it's a shame Dr gagneja left and service has gone downhill. Front desk needs better training as well, rude and cold would rather pawn work off then do it.

Who is supportive and ready to answer your questions to their best knowledge. My initial doctor was brilliant Dt. Tang, REALLY BRILLIANT, who I had to mention, (he works with Leavey Cancer Center) but after my cancer went into remission my insurance company decided that I need to be with different oncologist (I'll never understand how this insurance bureaucrats work) The Oncology Institute in Northridge (which is across the Leavey Cancer Center by the way lol) is specializing in, yes- oncology. The office has 4 doctors, they all have impressive backgrounds. Dr. Paul La Porte, is my doctor, who is very knowledgeable and caring, although sometimes can comes across as little cocky like some doctors are lol, but overall knowledgeable and caring, in my experience. It is very crucial to have a good relationship and great level of comfort with your oncologist, and I believe with your doctors in general. I was very nervous when I had to (well more like forced to) change my oncologist. But after meeting Dr. La Porte, I felt that I can rest assure that I am still in good hands. The office is clean and nice. The staff is polite. You come in, sign in and wait. Chairs now are comfortably set up so people are not in each other's face, which is very important when you are already vulnerable and more susceptible to COVID virus, fu and cold, since you are immunocompromised. Check up rooms are clean and cozy, with nice art work hanging on the walls, which is a nice destruction, not letting you focus only on medical information, and trust me you have lots of that, comes with the condition. Also, what I like about Dr. La Porte is he is friendly, easy to talk to, does answer his texts and emails, if I have any questions or concerns. He does provide me with my test results ahead of my appointment time when applicable, so If I have questions I'll have time to prepare and ask. My own experience here is good, but the waiting time is what makes me give them 3 stars. I do not wish upon anyone to hear those words ever, and may you stay Blessed. But if you ever hear that, please do not loose hope, do not stop fighting, believe, stay strong and positive and with the help of great oncologists, their team, your friends and family, you are a winner. This is the only place where we felt like we were treated like people and not cattle. My father previously had a procedure at at another place and got botched and had tons of pain after. After several other opinions, we felt the most comfortable here. The customer service is amazing and nothing I have previously seen at a medical office. Anna, the manager, kept in constant contact with us and guided us through every step of the way. My father underwent two procedures and is now pain free and has warm legs and feet and can walk. In this office I got two angiograms, and during my second angiogram, three stents were installed in my artery. All the procedures went very well, and I had less pain and inconvenience then I expected. Dr. Amin is a top-notch professional, and I am most grateful for all his and his team's fine work. All the staff was incredible, especially the manager Anna. She personally takes care of all their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Amin and all the staff in this office. He recently did my colonoscopy, which was my third. By far the easiest process to date, save one issue I describe below. The prep was so easy this time; Dr. Eshaghian gave me the option to do a pill based cleanse 12 hours before my procedure, and it was a game changer. And according to the doctor, the results were perfect, which was not always the case with the old "drink three gallons of this horrible tasting stuff and spend the next 36 hours on the toilet" approach. The procedure only took 20 minutes and he was bedside to give me his impressions the moment I woke up. The anesthesiologist he works with is terrific, as well. All in all, a great experience save the issue below. So I highly recommend him. There is one thing to note, however. He has contracted with Valley Endoscopy Center as the place where he does his procedures. They are quite awful. Scheduling was a cluster of confusion between the Center and the doctor's office; I got different messages each time I spoke to each and it created a bit of an issue with arranging for the timing of my before- and after-care. Plus, when I arrived for the procedure (once the time was finally solidified), there were a bunch of people sitting on the floor in the hallway because the waiting room did not have enough chairs for the number of people having procedures done. And then I went in an hour behind schedule because the Center was short-staffed with nurses (which I understand is a universal problem, so I can give a pass on this one). But the doctor is a win as mentioned above, so I was willing to put up with these issues. I do hope he upgrades the Center he uses, though.

I ended up being admitted for 3 1/2 days. The fourth floor staff were wonderful and treated me kindly. And, they did a great job with difficult patients. I watched them as they had a lot of patience with them. They had genuine warmth, listened carefully and worked well with other staff when communicating patient information. I've spent enough time in hospitals over the years to know that kindness can sometimes feel like a limited resource. Walking into West Hills Hospital, I honestly expected good medical care. What I didn't expect was to meet one of the most compassionate, respectful, and genuinely invested medical teams I've ever encountered. Dr. Namavar, the nurses, the social workers--every single person we met treated not only our family, but our loved one struggling with addiction, with a level of dignity and respect that frankly brought us to tears. Addiction carries so much stigma, yet not once did anyone make him feel like "just another addict." They saw a human being. That matters more than words can express. Our family had a very specific plan to safely transition him from the hospital directly into a rehabilitation facility. Every concern we had was heard. Every request was taken seriously. The team coordinated with the rehabilitation center, communicated with us every step of the way, and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Instead of making us feel like difficult family members, they made us feel like partners in his care. Then there was Dr. Namavar. I've met a lot of physicians. I've never met one quite like him. He sat down--not because he had to, but because he wanted to--and shared his own personal experiences with loss and drug overdoses. He wasn't reading from a script or giving a lecture. He was connecting with another human being. You could actually see the walls come down in the room. It was one of the most genuine moments I've ever witnessed between a physician and a patient. To the nurses: thank you for treating us like family. To the social workers: thank you for fighting just as hard for the next step as you did for the one we were in. To Dr. Namavar: thank you for reminding us that medicine is as much about the heart as it is about science. And finally... this is probably the weirdest compliment I've ever written, but if life ever decides to throw another medical emergency my way, I sincerely hope it has the courtesy to happen somewhere near West Hills Hospital. That's how much confidence you've given me. You didn't just care for a patient. You cared for an entire family. Thank you for giving us hope when we needed it most.
