Then after 2 months, Joff literally abandoned our job & we had to hire another painter at additional cost to complete the repairs and painting. We were asked to pay large amounts of money up front & during the job, even though the job wasn't finished. Also, our paint was removed from our home. After several calls requesting that it be returned, a small amount of our main colors was brought back. I contacted Sunset Painting for an estimate, due to the positive reviews on Yelp. Geordie responded right away and arranged to come by to look at what we needed. He is very nice, professional, and it was clear he really knew what he was talking about. In the mid-morning light, I could see that several parts of the front of our house looked like the last painter had been running out of paint. Some parts were not painted and splotches that badly needed paint were showing through. I asked Geordie to write an estimate to paint the front of the house, as well as the garage door, after we looked at the other walls and determined the whole house did not need painting right now. We had a railing and trim that needed attention, as well. He was able to recommend a way to protect the concrete parts of the balcony. He power washed parts that needed it, scraped and primed, and did a fantastic job of careful, detailed painting!! Everything was cleaned up when he left and he did a terrific job. He said they could paint interior as well as exterior walls of homes. I will definitely call them when we decide to move forward with the next painting project!
