This school is literally located 1 block away from Wall Street, and I had to do a double take upon entrance as I thought I was setting foot in an administrative building of the Holy Roman Empire. Also I don't really get this whole joke-of-the-moment about how often guys think of the Roman Empire. Can someone explain that to me? We SHOULD think about the Ancient Roman Empire. It was only the most significant and impactful civilization in all of our species' history. The Roman Empire is only where we derive our language and legal system from. Anyways, I'm getting carried away here, sorry: Okay but how could I mention the Roman Empire without mentioning Marcus Aurelius? One of the coolest, most self aware dudes in all of human history. He stayed grounded and didn't abuse his power as the Roman F**kin Emperor. I will concede that his son SUCKED though. What a d-bag. Sorry I seriously think I have an undiagnosed case of gnarly ADHD. I entered the Roman Pantheon, and asked the guy at the front desk where the gym was. He said "9th floor." I was like "I mean the basketball gym." He repeated unenthusiastically, "9th floor." GYM ON THE 9TH FLOOR IS A CRAZY FLEX! The gym was sick and while I do my best to be humble, my dear reader, I played one of the best games of my LIFE in here. I was CHOPPIN! First play of the game I took 2 HARD pound dribbles to the rack, hard stop snatch-back between my legs to a step back three and dropped this dude so bad he was doing the chicken dance on the way down trying to get his footing. I bricked the 3 though smh. I could never and would never lie to you. You ever just feel like Kyrie somedays,? I always say if I was 6 '10 I would be chasing my 6th ring rn, but God knew better than to bless me with that height. He did bless me with a lot though to be fair. I wake up grateful every day. The school is your classic high school, classrooms, lockers lining the corridors, a library, various offices, bathrooms, and teacher lounges. The board room is right next to the library and it's an impressive board room. The board has a platform that they can be seen on while conducting board business they are equipped with mics so they can be heard. They have a projector screen for presentations. When they hold a public works session sometimes they hold it in their administrative offices and space in that room is a little tight. The school looks pretty clean. I don't know how it is to go to high school here, but from the perspective of a part time journalist who comes here on occasion it isn't bad.

Nothing beats quick access during those rainy and snowy days and access to subway one block away. The staff ratio upstairs is unheard of- 2 babies per caretaker is excellent. They have an outdoor patio and sometimes they take the kids out for a walk to the park one block away. The daycare also rarely closes (only for those main 10-11 national holidays a year and few pre-scheduled professional developmental days). All kids at this locations must follow state/CDC vaccination schedule, which is a plus! They have cleaning crew that comes in and cleans toys and stuff around all the time. The staff actually like kids and are very maternal; the best part of all, the kids love them as well. The downstairs is for kids 2 to 5 years old; although there are rarely any kids who are over 4 at this place. They have yoga teacher and music teachers come by once or few times a week. The ladies at that location are very creative and always find something to occupy the kids with. My son learned so much here. He is 4 now and I wouldn't be surprised if he read in few more months. Another big plus is, this location has stroller/bike parking in a garage next door that is secure. It always strikes me how an expensive place such as Beensprouts have all strollers outside in the rain and completely unsecured. The only time this location does not allow for stroller parking is when there are Christmas Tree sales, but once that is over, the garage is available for use again. I had to take one star off because the daycare has become increasingly more expensive. It went up the price at least 3 or 4 times during our son's stay of total 3 or so years. Thanks to Beensprouts prices, I am not surprised why all nearby locations are trying to even out the prices. That is too bad.

We explored many options in the neighborhood and I'm convinced that Playgarden is the most nurturing, caring and stimulating environment for little ones. She's learned so much and loves her teachers. It has a strong literary focus and the kids get exposed to music, movement, science, nutrition and letters every week. The teachers work so hard and always impress me with the lessons for children. You can also tell that teachers love their students and their job. From experience, I can say that that is not always the case. We also love getting to take advantage of the indoor playground, especially in bad weather. Can't recommend enough!
