Her answers are incomplete, unclear and devoid of empathy. She reacts with hostility towards customers who need clear communication and reassurance. She is arrogant and explosive when challenged. She makes up excuses and only answers the phone when she feels like it. She actually blame shifts the customer. She has very poor communication and social skills, very unprofessional.

Long story. I'll try to make it brief. I was visiting family in Sioux City and went to the city…read moreshelter to volunteer. I met a sweet dog at high risk. I decided to adopt him the next morning if I could get the required health certificate needed for her to fly in cargo later that day (too large to fly in cabin). I called the minute they opened and asked to be squeezed in that morning. A health certificate and a very quick check up (basically, listening to heart) takes 10-15 minutes. It's a simple form, quick exam. The dog was young, healthy, had all shots. Their "caring, compassionate team," as stated on their website, refused to help. This was life or death for a sweet, young dog, who had received no adoption prospects for months. Thanks Siouxland Animal Hospital! Saving a dog's life, obviously, would have been too big of an inconvenience and might have cut into your lunch.

I had an emergency with a severe nose bleed in one of my St Bernards, by severe I mean the entire kitchen floor had blood on it, spattered on the walls, fridge and pools of it on the floor and dripping out one nostril. My local vet was not avail on a Friday! I called and spoke to Dr Becker, he was very pleasant, listened to everything and we decided to have me come and get vitamin K to see if that will stop the bleeding, I said I could deal with either an injectable or tablets with no issues, so I had both provided to start working sooner and to dose the next 6 days with. Now after 2 hours it looks like it is starting to work, it can take that long with vitamin K, the only other option is Ames to do a VERY expensive intake, scans, scoping, anaesthesia etc and probably only find the tumor or cancer I strongly suspect is the cause, and then the inevitable euthanasia after that. I'm definitely keeping this clinic on file for a future emergency when my vet is away, it's unfortunately a 30 minute drive so in a true emergency that's a lot of time lost that would negatively affect the outcome.
