They have programs that always give back to the community. This would be 5 stars if the parishioners could remember this is the house of God and having regular voice conversations is not nice. The whole church is like a school yard before the mass on Sundays. I like going to church for the silence and peace, sometimes the only place you can find it nowadays. Unless talking regular voice about how you do your house painting right next to someone praying the rosary during lent is encouraged here. Didn't even get the hint when I said "!!Lord Jesus!!" quite loud. But saying "please shut the fuck up" would def not be mistaken for a prayer but that wouldn't be nice back...... Oh I am such a sinner.

During lent which is a time of prayer the church does take a somber tone of respect and people are encouraged to speak quieter so I am really confused with serbelles review. I would never dream of going to a regular mass to pray the rosary as there is a time and place for that and the church is open for silent pray after masses. The parish has many activities including pancake breakfasts and daily donuts and coffee to encourage families to visit before leaving. Fr John does a great job bringing the word of God to life. Family, friends, community is what you will find at San Agustin. We are real people who make real sounds of life and happiness. And isn't the real message to go forth and live the word of Christ?

I've been attending for almost 3 years now. I went with the Calvary ideal of teaching from the Bible, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Pastor Matt is great, good teachings. Worship is great, a diverse group of leaders and performers. The folks are wonderful, very welcoming, helping this reclusive, damaged techie to engage and interact. I volunteer as tech support for the church, doing sound, video, webcast or whatever. I've been in several small groups and to several outings. Great teaching, wonderful supportive people, a casual atmosphere, a great way to help develop a better walk with Christ. Faith needs to be fed and nourished, and this is a great place to help that!

My family and I go on a regular basis. They have regular community dinners on ever so often on Sundays are incredible and I love getting to meet new people!! Coming has totally changed my life. They were welcoming at the service, focusing on being light in others' lives daily, which is totally what I'm about too. I never thought of church as a building, but the people who support others in their personal relationship with God. I've been to lots of churches, but this one just had a sense of openness I have been longing for. They love to worship, clap their hands, and praise God as the bible declares. Love the openness of worship here. If I could say one thing that stands out about this church, it would be that they love people. Open heart, open hand, open mind--Just like Jesus taught.
