These are NOT condos or apartments. The Valleybrook Homeowner's Association is a small board that manages our privately owned residential townhome community (Village of Valleybrook). Sure, some people rent their homes out, but mostly it's just us homeowners living here. The members of the board are our neighbors - the HSA isn't their JOB job... I don't think the two previous reviewers understood that. Anyway, I have yet to see another "neighborhood" or "homeowner's board" being reviewed on Yelp, so I tried to get this listing removed, but it's still here for some reason. If it was an outside management company, that would make more sense. But, it isn't. read more

This place is nothing but problems, my children were at the park a week after living here and they were verbally threatened by a boy twice their size. Then I finally gave in and let my kids go back to the park and my daughter phone was smashed to the ground by a younger boy. These boys at the park talk awful, the language is out of control. The staff sucks, and is rude, especially Andy. read more

Wish I could give them 0 stars. I've never had any problems, until recently. Went to use the pool the weekend before last with my pool pass, and found they had installed a security gate. Don't know when they installed this since this was the first time in over a year I've been to the pool, but the gate was open so we went in. Didn't see a sign-in book or a place to drop off my pass like they've always had, so set my stuff down and went for a swim. On my way out, I wanted to ask about getting a new pool pass so I can get in, so I approached one of the lifeguards and asked my question. An extremely rude man standing nearby overheard and started ranting at me: "How'd you get in? What are you doing here?" I have no idea who this guy is, but his nasty tone of voice and rapid-fire accusatory questions just floored me. The whole time I'm standing there with my old pass (with my photo and my house # on it!) in my hands, trying to explain that I didn't use the pool last year, that I live here and have for years (we've owned this house and lived here for over a decade). Seriously, I'm not a criminal and I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm allowed to use the pool because I LIVE HERE. There is no reason to be so nasty to someone who is just trying to figure out how to follow the rules! Anyway, after a few minutes of me stammering and trying to explain, I found my courage and cut off his verbal tirade with "IT DOESN'T MATTER, just tell me how I get my new card." He barked out "Monday night!" which I can only assume means I need to go to the clubhouse on Monday night and someone will give me one? Their website is a joke, as well. There is no contact number, only a voicemail number that goes to an unattended office. No recent bulletins or newsletters posted, just broken links. No events calendar. No clubhouse or pool info, either. No hours, no phone number, nothing. Sadly I'm stuck here for now, but we'll be moving within the next two years. I can't wait to leave! read more

I too, am a resident of Valleybrook, and I agree whole-heartedly. It is correct that the clubhouse is unattended more often than not. The phone number goes to a voicemail that they check twice a week, and they have very limited office hours. The website hasn't been updated in God knows how long. The monthly fees went from $135 to $205, and yet we can't get simple things done like fixing playground equipment and street lights that are in disrepair. My biggest pet peeve is that the board members who are "oh so dedicated and spend countless hours volunteering their time" can't even respond to a concerned resident. On numerous occasions I have sent emails and gotten no response. I completely understand why their phone numbers are not listed, but they should absolutely be accessible via email. It is very difficult for me to attend the monthly association meetings, but that doesn't mean I have no interest in what's going on. I expect much more for $205/month, but the association has failed me over and over again. I think it's time to bring in a management company. read more
