This small park is located across from the Oakville Yacht Club. It's home to a small cabin that was…read moreoriginally located where Oakville Town Hall sits today. Built in 1820, it was home to the Lyon family and the couple raised nine children within its walls. It was restored in 2014 and moved down to Shipyard park which is more of a pocket park. There is nowhere to really sit but you can get up close and read more of this history behind the cabin. In the summer it would be a good spot to boat watch.

There are plenty of fun playhouses and an apparatus for kids to play and have fun. Adults can spent time strolling around and enjoying the greenery. There are benches and places to sit if you want to people-watch. It housed a ton of ribfest vendors. I can see why many events end up being held here. It's a perfect place to have fun and relax. Parking can be a bit of a problem if there is an event. I had first thought about parking at the Port Credit Library lot, but it was full. Side street parking was crazy. I ended up landing a spot at the Port Credit GO and walking over to the park. I'd love to come back to this park, unwind, and see what it's like without the ribfest activities happening. The park is in Oakville that kind of 1 hr from Toronto. The traffic today was not too bad, we followed GPS to a resident area that saying not able to access the park from there, we parked the car across the street, and walked along the trails. However, we walked about 30 mins, we got to a parking lot again that stating this one is the Lions Valley Parking Lot. That means the one we entered from was part of the park. But not the main entrance. Since we don't have too much time today, we couldn't finish the whole park visiting. If we can have a better sign to show the park from the difference entrance, that would be much better.

This park is on the lake side and the views are so divine and breathtaking. Don't know how I missed this place before. It's so difficult to express in words how serene and beautiful this park is. Perfect place to go and relax and disconnect. You can even see Toronto Skyline from here. There is also a viewing deck, from where you can get a better overall view. This pictures don't do justice to this place. You have experience this place with your eyes. I found this park in fall and went there few times in last weeks of fall before snow. I just envy the people who live close to this place. There were few houses close by, that have balconies opening to lake view. Oh it must be so amazing to wake up everyday to this heavenly view!!

Shady…read more While attending a birthday party earlier today, it was incredibly disappointing to hear that my three-year-old's niece's birthday party was double booked ... understanding that sometimes this happens the way about the manager Lisa handle the situation was just completely appalling disappointing and although this may be a children's play place, the games played by the manager was appalling. To give some context of the situation, yes the play place was double booked by two birthday parties ... with about 30 people each party...Instead of trying to accommodate both parties, the manager of the place had forced us to leave. When it was left up to both parties to have a joint birthday party as to not ruin the experience for our children, the manager continue to be berating and use her on site employees who, by the way, couldn't have been older than 16 each to do her dirty work by trying to kick us out ... irregardless both family shared the space, like good neighbours...we shared in the experience of our children's birthday. ....However, the manager didn't stop there and continued to try to play games by promising returns on deposits for one family, but not the other clearly she was not willing to take a hit to her bottom line. If you are considering booking this appalling place, please be aware of the games the manager plays ... They are very likely to take your deposit double book you and leave you with a memorable experience. Unfortunately, not a good one..

Save yourself.. and if they even try to respond to this review claiming it was the customers fault that's just more proof of their delusions.
