Would not recommend this company. Had to have two posts redone because they barely put enough cement in to hold them in place. Have 3 other posts where the cement was above the ground around the posts. Never heard back from Tom to let me know what the owner had to say about the other 3 posts and cement showing. My 20-year-old cedar fence started to collapse this summer; I contacted Valleywide in July of 2024. I said I wanted a new cedar fence, so I was referred to a contractor, as VW told me they specialize in vinyl and metal fencing. The contractor finished in August, and I wasn't amazed with the quality of the fence; he himself said, "this is the worst wood I ever received from Lowe's". And yet, my fence was put together with the sub-par wood. Fast forward two months later, my gate attached to the fence broke due to the wood splitting exactly where the gate latch attaches to my fence. I called the contractor, as he told me he would guarantee his work for one year. He did not answer, and I was not able to leave a voicemail, so I texted him on 10/17/24. I did not receive a response, so I called VW and spoke to a person, who was sympathetic to my plight, however referred me back to the contractor reiterating that their specialty is vinyl and metal fencing; he did say though, he would try to contact the contractor in person. I heard nothing. I texted the contractor again on 11/14/2024. On 11/18/2024, he responded and said he would stop by on 11/19/2024 to take a look at my fence. He did not show, and he did not contact me. I texted him again on 12/13/2024 again asking for help with my broken gate; he did not respond. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about the amount of money I spent for a brand-new fence, which I am overall not amazed with, and a gate which broke two months later. Nobody seems to care enough to help me. I understand that VW does not specialize in wood fences, however, it would be nice if they stood by the work of the contractor THEY referred me to. And now I likely have to pay someone else to help me. It's beyond upsetting. read more

This company made it a nightmare. I asked them to put the front fence up against the cement wall, they put it a foot away from it. That was extra work for me. They broke under ground pipe four times. They tried to tell me it was the home owner's responsibility to pay for repairs. The staff lied to me. They also cheated me out of money. They say they have 35 years experience. We had Valley fence install fencing in our yard. 1st, Daniel was absolutely professional and knowledgeable of the product. Lots of details were given. 2nd. Our yard is very uneven . So the crew arrived and let us know they were getting ready to begin. All crew members very nice. Installation was great. The fence was measured out, leveled and installed so straight. The product itself is very high end. Between dogs, grandkids and a crazy lawn mowing husband the fence will last a long time. There guarantee is really nice. Would not recommend this company beware, stay away. They put up a fence that I stressed to everyone was to keep my dogs in. The end product had 12" gaps in spots between the fence and ground fence post that are loose wiggle back and forth. I had to spend 2 days of my time and $350.00 more on fence material to make this fence hold my dog in as ask from the start. It is functional now that I fixed it for my dog. I will have to replace the loose post and rerun some of my fence witch will require replacing about 9 post. This will cost me even more money. For a job not well done. They did come out 3 time to fix it. Just could not get it there. I was told I ask for a smooth top online so it would look good and would have to back fill. I never did on suck thing. I asked for a fence that would hold my dogs in. If I want a pretty fence I would NOT have put up a chain link fence. read more

About two months ago we began searching for a contractor to replace our privacy fence and build a new pergola over an existing patio. After visiting Valleywide's office, Brian came to our home to look over the site and take measurements to prepare estimates for both. He said he'd have quotes for us in a few days. That was May 26th, and we haven't seen or heard from him since. I called Valleywide Fence and Deck to ask if they would give me a quote on a 6' cedar fence. The woman I talked with said they did not install cedar fences but one of their employees who installed on the side did. She gave me the name Brian, who owns A 1 Lawn and Fence, I learned later, and his phone number. Brian actually called me a couple of days later. He came out that week, gave me a bid, said he needed half down to start and the remainder when he was finished. He started the following Monday, and finished on Wednesday. He was paid 1/2 down and remainder on Wed. I noticed on Sunday that one of the pickets was not flush with the other pickets. I sent Brian a text and he said he would come out the next day and fix it. They forgot to nail two nails on the bottom of picket. On Wed he still hadn't shown up so I sent Brian another text Thursday morning. He responded and said he was planning on doing it that day. It is now Saturday and he still hasn't shown up. I'm over 70, female, and don't have the right nails or would try myself. That's not the point though. Now the story I will be telling is this one. Worst company we have used in the valley. Hired him to dig 40 post holes in Whitewater. 30 of the 40 holes were not cleaned out. We had 2 1/2 feet of dirt in a three foot hole. He was suppose to give us a partial refund and never did. Don't trust Blu Grey, he is not honest. read more

Six months to put in 81 feet of Simtek fence. First time they had to remove the whole fence; including post. The post were out of alignment, not level, the panels were not level and the gate would not close, plus one panel was just hanging. Part of the fence was stepped (the way it should be) the other part followed the grade of the property. I have an dirt easement where they should have put the dirt and rock when digging the holes for the post but they piled it on my established plants and the gravel. Killing four plants and they trampled another. The owner did give me a credit for the plants. The manager, Cole came out and looked at the fence and told me several times; "It is just a fence", "It is an outdoor product", "It does not have to be perfect" and that I was scrutinizing the workmanship. He also tried to blame it on the product. He was only willing to raise a few of the post that were set to low; which had made the panels higher than the post. He also is very condescending when you do not agree with him. Where the two fences met were gaps from one to four inches. Cole said nothing could be done about that; which I knew better as I did with most of what he said. I also mentioned the BIG mess that was left and Cole said their job was to put the fence up and nothing else. Finally, Cole sent someone out to raise the post. Ryan came out and I told him I wished to talk to the owner (who I had called several times but Misty kept giving the message to Cole). Ryan agreed the fence was unacceptable and he went to Ble Gray the owner. Ble called and came out to look at the fence. He agreed that the whole fence needed to come down post and all. By the way if you put up a Simtek fence make sure they DO NOT cut the tops off the post because the warranty is voided. They had cut the top off of each post. Ble ordered all new post and some new panels. I had requested a 3 foot gate which Cole said Simtek did not make. When I called Simtek to talk to them about the fence he laughed because they do make a 3 foot. My speculation is that Cole had a 4 foot in the warehouse and wanted to get it out of their. So Ble and I agreed to use the 4 foot but at a 3 foot price. Ble sent Ryan out to put in the replacement fence. It is level, both post and panels and the whole fence steps down. Where the fence meets the other fence the gap was taken care of, the gap Cole said could not be fixed. On the downside of the replacement fence, one post is set to high and one to low plus most of the panel are upside down, the bottom on top. I would like the panels turned over and the one tall post set correctly but I am so tired of this company and six months of hassle and anxiety. Ryan did say he would be back out to clean up the easement where he DID put the dirt and rock but because of the rain I decided to clean it up myself so it would get done. I am thankful that Ble was honest and not like Cole expecting me to pay $6,000.00 for a fence that looked like it went through a hurricane. Also, Daniel the sales person.........make sure that whatever he promises is in writing because most of what he told me did not happen.
