All cars had pretty serious problems or issues that would've costed money out of pocket a few months to a year down the line. He offered to fix something on one but honestly acted like the others were fine, basically gaslighting me. My family knows cars. He seems to be running his business efficiently for himself. The owner, Nick, of this dealership was so disrespectful, arrogant, and rude I ended up hanging up on him. He then text me and called me back to offer an overly sarcastic apology. He obviously has plenty of free-time to harass potential customers. My guess is all their 5-star reviews were submitted by his family. I was in the market for a new ( to me) car and had narrowed my search to a few vehicles. I arrived at Valpo Car Care only to discover the car I wanted to see was not there. I spoke with Nick and he advised me that the car was indeed still for sale and that it was being used by staff to run an errand. The car arrived, looked fantastic, and I took it for a test drive. I am very particular about my vehicles and tend to keep them for many 100s of miles. Upon returning to the dealership, I bought the car. The price was fair. I looked at other Toyota Avalons that were no where near as well maintained or clean as this one but cost more. The price was definitely lower than what he could have received for this car. On August 25, 2020, I bought a 2014 Gl 350 Bluetec from Nick Mandich for 24,000 (93k miles), based on the previous owner's reputation as a great mechanic. The mechanic is Nenad Tomic of NT Auto. Nick talked me out of a warranty, saying the mechanic took such good care of the car that I wouldn't have any trouble. In less than a month, the car threw a rod and destroyed the engine after towing a light trailer for 19 miles. The car instantly became worthless. The engines in these cars routinely hit 350k miles. It seems impossible without some pre-existing problem that wasn't disclosed. I would steer clear of Valpo Car Company as something is not right with Mr. Mandich. And Mr. Tomic obviously dumped the car just before it blew up. read more

They went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure I felt comfortable every step of the way from reserving the car to taking great car of it while it was on the lot and eventually shipped to me. The owner Mel is a no BS kind of guy that shoots you straight and there is never a question to whatever he is telling you is the absolute truth. His son Nick was also a pleasure to work with as well and when one was busy the other would step off and never leave me feeling like I couldn't get my questions immediately answered or issue resolved. I cannot express how pleased we are with Valpo Car Company. They are personable and are there to serve you the best experience possible. I was so pleased with the first car I purchased that I got another car a month later for another family member in need. After looking through multiple car lots, they have the best cars, cleanest cars and always the cars are a step above for less cost than some old beater you would get elsewhere. Most of the cars I looked at were leather interior and had a ton of bells and whistles. On other lots looking at the same type cars, they were no where near the quality.
