The new gutters are good, the contractor's employee was not. No resolution was given.

Afterward, I received a call from a third party claiming to be the contractor, threatening to remove the scupper unless payment was made immediately -- completely unacceptable and alarming. The repair failed. I still have active water intrusion, and it has caused interior damage to my home. This company showed a serious lack of professionalism, oversight, and accountability. The workmanship did not resolve the problem, and the billing tactics were concerning. Homeowners - proceed with extreme caution! Verify who is performing the work, how payments are handled, and whether the company is operating to proper standards. ----------------------------- Your response contains multiple inaccuracies ... First, your claim that you "tried calling me multiple times" is false. You never called me. I have no missed calls, voicemails, or call logs from you after the work. What I do have is a saved voicemail left on 4/11/25, immediately after the work was performed. Second, your statement about nonpayment is also false. I paid a deposit on 4/04/25 and made final payment on 4/18/25. Both payments were made by credit card, and I have full documentation proving this. At no point was payment withheld "for over a month," and suggesting otherwise is simply untrue. Third, the call threatening to remove the scupper came from a third party claiming to be associated with you, and it occurred after the work was completed and while payment had already been made. Regardless of how you now characterize it, that call was inappropriate and alarming, and it happened under your company's name. Finally, the scupper installation you recommended did not resolve the leak. I continue to have water intrusion, and it has caused interior damage. Shifting blame to "the rest of the roof" does not change the fact that the specific repair you proposed and performed failed to correct the issue it was meant to fix. I am stating verifiable facts, supported by payment records and saved voicemail evidence. Any implication that I am misrepresenting events is incorrect. Leaving this here as Google doesn't seem to keep honest reviews…read more 2024 Hulton Contracting did siding on my home as a subcontractor for Jaime "Jimmy" Marrero (was under the name JM Drafting & Contracting, LLC and is now under Buxmont Contractors. I do not recommend any company involved with Jimmy Marrero). At some point in our project with JMDC, Walt Hulton, president of Hulton Contracting, told us he was merging with Jimmy and "promised to finish my project." (I have text messages that say this.) Shortly after, I didn't hear from Walt's company and Jimmy did not finish the project although I had paid him 99% of the contract. Spoiler alert: We werent the only clients JMDC didnt finish the project even though they were paid to. Walt came to my house in December (Video from Ring doorbell) to tell me he had nothing to do with Jimmy anymore. Months later, I find out that Jimmy is seemingly working for Walts company. His LinkedIn says it, reviews have Jimmy's name under Hulton's company name, and I have personally talked to clients who had said they were working together (but apparently arent anymore.) I am concerned Walt came to my house to tell me he had nothing to do with Jimmy, but then seemingly hired him. Whats more concerning, I had an honest review about all of this previously, that Walt texted me (I have screen shots) that he will sue me for $250,000 if I don't take down the review. I saw another person had written a similar review about taking Hulton to small claims court (also have a screen shot of that) and so I took mine down. However, now hers is down too. I also saw another negative review that mentioned Jimmy (took a screen shot of that one as well) and that is no longer visible either. I will say Walt and his company did a great job, and Walt even came back to fix some issues that Jimmy had not addressed free of charge. Walt, I do appreciate that. I really do. What I dont understand is why you'd come to my house to say you have nothing to do with Jimmy, but then you seemingly hire him. Its strange. Its also strange that you threaten to sue me because of my review, even though we both know it was an honest and accurate review. Negative reviews are not something to threaten to take down. If you made a mistake, you are human. But you can't sue for defamation if everything I am saying is true.

After much review we went with John Breuer. Our only contact was Dustin. We enjoyed his candor and straightforward advice. He offered all the options. Areas where we could consider saving some money, and areas where some additional money would add value. The numbers can get confusing with different contractors, but Dustin's estimate was more straightforward than some. In the end you have to go with your gut. Most of the project went pretty smoothly. Our township was unusually tough. Other neighbors confirmed. Maybe we wouldn't have had the stucco problems in the first place if they had looked as closely when the house was originally built. Most of the work was done within a month, but it was some of the finishing details that took some additional time. At no point did we feel ignored. Dustin kept us up to date. We had a lot done and I think the house was completed in a more timely fashion than some others. Additionally, during the process we had other contractors come to give estimates on various other items... like a new driveway. Each time we received unsolicited compliments on the quality of the work. That was nice to hear from people that know quality work when they see it. Also, the unsolicited compliments from others on the cosmetics were too numerous to count. The landscapers will be finishing up tomorrow and we can't wait for it all to be done. The house looks awesome. It can be scary to embark on a costly project like this. Throughout it all, Dustin and his crew were there. We would easily recommend them.
