I have been to this office three times by now and I am very pleased. I moved from another state…read moreabout two years ago and was very skeptical in coming to a new dentist, especially because I had been with my previous dentist for years. It was very easy and convenient when making the initial appointment for my daughter and myself. When I came in for the first time, Leslie, kindly greeted us and was genuinely excited to have us on "board". The office had a welcome greeting at the front desk welcoming new patients by their first name. My daughter seeing her name up there was very excited! The first apt. was very informative and went very well. Upon check-out I was given (and was also explained) a very detailed sheet of the work I needed, with cost, and descriptions. I do not think the office was trying to rip me off (as someone commented to that effect here) because it's work that I am well aware I had been needing. In between my first and second appt. I needed a refill on my antibiotics and the office staff was very helpful. Of course they asked normal questions to make sure that's what I needed but they helped me with enough to get me by until it was time for my third appt. with Dr. Burch. Shortly after I came in for my second appt. and again, Leslie greeted me very cheerfully and remembered me from the first appt. and even asked how my daughter was. I felt like I had known her for years when in fact it was the second time I had seen her. I was very impressed and felt very welcome, I felt like a person, and not just someone the office wants to bill. So, yesterday was my appt. with Dr. Burch for a root canal treatment and him and his assistant (Kim?) were the kindest people I've worked with. Or, that have actually worked with me. I've had three other root canals done and although I like my former endodontic, I am very pleased with them and the work they did. They (both) made sure I understood and was well aware of everything that was going on before and after the treatment. The only honest complaint I have is that 3/4 of the way into the treatment the anesthesia began wearing off and when I let him know he said he was almost done, which it was okay, but I felt almost everything afterwards and by the time I came out of the office I was in so much pain I could barely open my mouth for the next 4 hours. I guess I would have liked a little more anesthesia to avoid feeling so much pain so soon after the root canal work. Anyhow, this is the longest review I've ever written because I don't have much time to sit and do these things but I am so impressed and happy with this office that I felt the need to. There is another girl at the front desk that has also been so kind and helpful and I always fail to get her name; she is light skinned, green/blue eyes, reddish hair.

My wife and I went to Coast Dental in Casselberry for far too long, since we had limited options…read morefrom my dental plan. But I should have found a better dental practice sooner, because they were terrible. They blasted racist, misogynistic, homophobic, right-wing radio in their waiting room (the "Rick Stacy Morning Show") and kept it going even when I complained about the content once. Dr. Sanchez once went on a whole diatribe about why Florida should never legalize marijuana WHILE he was examining my mouth. I literally couldn't talk, or I would have told him how inappropriate it was for him to be mixing politics with business and forcing his opinions on patients while making sure they couldn't voice their own opinions. Frankly, my wife and I both think she got poor quality care regarding fillings and crowns. We have a superior dentist now, and the problems Dr. Sanchez and his staff always seemed to find are no longer present. I wonder why. I have always taken excellent care of my teeth, and his hygienist Munira still always complained and tried to upsell me on unnecessary treatments and gadgets. I refused, but when they had my wife alone, they could often peer-pressure her into paying for additional products and services. The one bright spot was the hygienist Iman, who usually cleaned my wife's teeth. She was lovely, patient, and gentle. She is too good for that place. We switched last year, and I'm still bitter about how we were treated for so long.

Hubby and I have been coming to this practice for many years…read more The dentists and their staff is always so friendly and professional. There are just too many services they provide to mention here. Go online and you will find a wealth of information. We call them our super Dentist!

I did a course of Invisalign at Collins Dental and it was... okay…read more The Pros: - Everyone at the office is friendly and welcoming - They have freshly baked cookies every day - Dr. Collins is professional and knowledgeable - I *mostly* got my teeth straightened The Cons: - They are very hands off; I saw them a total of once during my actual treatment (halfway through). In fairness, I was told I could call in at any time. - My first real problem started when I finished my treatment. They had a trainee scan my teeth for the permanent retainer, who spent 15 mins waving the wand around in my mouth. The trainee was being monitored, but after all that work, something that important should have been done directly by a dentist. Additionally, the attachments weren't removed first, which meant they were digitally removed later, this could also be part of why I had trouble later. - My retainers ended up being very tight and painful to wear. I made a follow-up appointment and several calls regarding them, and was told they are fine and that Vivera retainers take 'some getting used to.' However, I then began to develop staining on my front teeth and tooth sensitivity, which I've never had in my life. I made another call and was told in order to be helped, I had to make an appointment for a cleaning (not included in my plan), so that they can polish off the stains and examine my teeth. - The cleaning ended up costing $500, I was upsold a ~$70 electric toothbrush which I was told would help with staining (it did not). I was also told that cleaning my retainers with dish soap was the cause of the problem, so I started using retainer tablets instead, but the stains returned shortly after. - I realized the retainers WERE the issue, and told them I want to get rescanned for new ones. I was charged an additional $320 for them*, and had to toss out the old set. However, due to the pain, I'd stopped wearing the retainers as consistently, and my teeth had shifted. *(Again, being fully fair, they agreed to refund me $290 for my first set of retainers, but ended up just wiping out a $250 balance for my cleaning. Letting me absorb the $40 difference) - I then asked if I had any refinement trays included to fix the shifting, but was told my case had expired. - I found out the office had elected to use Invisalign Go (a lite version that expires a year after its start, despite the fact my invoice says 'Invisalign - Regular Case'). The standard Invisalign version expires after five years. For the curious, I was charged $5400 for a short 6 month treatment plan and 12 trays (Online estimates how that Invisalign Go should cost $3k-$4k, and that it cost the office ~$1k to purchase them). However, even that limited plan should have left me plenty of time to get my refinement ordered. Except: My initial complaints about the retainer, staining, sensitivity, and discomfort were waved away for months. When I finally requested a rescan for new retainers, I was not told my teeth had shifted, though it should have been clear to them they had. I requested my scans months before my expiration to verify what I was seeing, but was repeatedly told the scans are 'too difficult to send.' When I finally got them in March (after pushing) I could clearly see they had shifted. But my case had expired in January. The reason I chose this office was because it was $500 dollars cheaper than an orthodontist's quote I received. However, the orthodontist offered a comprehensive plan of Invisalign & 1 free set of retainers, and I'm certain I would not have had the issues I did with staining and tooth sensitivity had I gone there. On top of that, I ended up paying an additional (~$600 for retainers, $500 for a cleaning, and another $70 for a toothbrush), essentially making this option more expensive. And at the end of it, my teeth aren't fully straight, which was the whole point of doing this. I still quite like Dr. Collins and the office, but I'm not exactly happy, so three stars. *Edit: was provided a $1260 refund for inconveniences suffered.

I am extremely disappointed with the experience my daughter had at Family Dental Home…read more On June 2, 2026, I made a formal complaint about a specific dentist due to unprofessional behavior and clearly requested that he not be involved in my daughter's care at all moving forward. The office acknowledged this and scheduled her with a different provider for June 29. However, when my daughter arrived for her appointment, they assigned her to the same dentist I had filed a complaint against. She even told the staff he was not supposed to treat her. Despite this, he remained involved and administered a numbing injection, which was completely unacceptable and went against my explicit instructions. To make matters worse, my daughter was then left sitting in the waiting room with her mouth numb for over an hour (from 9:25 AM to 10:35 AM) before she was finally treated. Although the manager later apologized and called it a "confusion," this situation shows a serious lack of communication, professionalism, and respect for patient/parent requests. I would not recommend this office based on this experience. Now I'm transferring her somewhere else. I was going to bring my 3-year-old there but not anymore. NO trust in this place. It used to be good i have no idea what has happen over the last 3years.
