Despite the fact that they are an emissions center, there was NO SIGN whatsoever stating that they were not doing emissions. Had to sit and wait ten minutes for someone to be arsed enough to come outside and find out what we were waiting on. Nothing to say when I asked them why they felt the need to not hang a sign letting people know so they wouldn't have to navigate the ridiculous driveway. This place sucks, there's never anyone there that I see beyond one or two guys, and reading the other reviews just solidifies my opinion that this is a place to avoid. You lost customers because of your lack of preparation. You can't be bothered to hang a sign? Then I can't be bothered to waste my money on your ridiculous business. My wife took her 2017 Chevy Cruze there for an oil change and also had air filter changed. Shortly after going there the check engine light came on. We kept getting different codes. Finally took it in to a local repair shop and they determined Valvoline had not only put in the wrong air filter, but it was upside down and smashed in the compartment. Thanks Valvoline you cost us an extra $500 to get this fixed. We have the tech's name and the manager's name on the Valvoline receipt, we might just stop in to let them know about their mistake. I stopped in there Thursday August 1st 2019 for an oil change and it turned into a nightmare . When I got there I told the employee not to put my windows down due to weak window motor on the passenger front side and the window doesn't go back up , so what does that guy do, he jumps in and down go both windows ! Window motor replacement is as high as $800.00 ! Well we spent some time trying to raise the window on the front passenger side , no luck , and I was irate ! I don't have $800.00 for that . Finally , I told the manager to bypass it and miracle of miracles , the window went up . Don't choose to go there if you have this problem and no money for power window motors . I will never go here again. I called ahead to see if they would use my own oil and filter which they agreed to. The used my oil and filter and 9 days later my car is still smelling like burning oil. The after checking the level because of the burning smell, I see my oil level is somewhat low. Not from leaking or burning. Its just low. I bought an additional quart of this oil and returned to the store to find out what they did. They said the tech that worked on my car did not clean the filter area properly which had let excess oil burn creating the smell. They also guessed the tech had not properly drained each of the 6 quart bottles I brought in and that was why the level was slightly low. I had to go buy a 7th quart of oil and waste my time driving back 9 days later to have them do the job they did not do right the first time. I asked under the circumstances would they place a credit on my account for the additional quart of my oil I had to buy for a future oil change. The manager never came out of the back room to speak with me and the answer was no. Not even an apology. Because of their improperly trained or supervised tech, my car smelled like burning oil for 9+ days and they wasted some of my expensive oil I brought in allowing the car to leave slightly low. I was told this tech was already fired. Never will I give this chain my business again. read more

Went here a couple months ago and I am truly disgusted with this location. I had a tire rotation and an oil change done here. A couple weeks later after they rotated my tires I had 2 issues with my tires, one being a blowout and the other the tire was not put back on properly. I have called time and time again about this and they said they would bring it to the attention of management and that they would get back to me. They never got back to me. I will be contacting a lawyer on this issue. If it were up to me they wouldn't even get a star. read more

Called and only got attitude when asking a simple question of what time their doing emissions till also had my tires rotated there and they ripped off 3 different lug nuts tires almost fell off not even 5 min out after taking off. Worst car shop in Kenosha don't recommend to anyone looking for work done. read more

Quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had. The store in Mount Pleasant informed me that the Kenosha store does emissions testing from 10-3 on Sundays as the Mount Pleasant store was unable to do them. I drive the 20 minutes and met the rudest and laziest employees of my life. The man informed me that although the machine works, they did not want to do them today. I understand if there were staffing shortages, but he then proceeded to go and sit behind a counter with four other employees to do absolutely nothing but play on their phones and would not entertain a conversation . I've been using Valvoline ever since getting my license but will never step foot in another one after how rude this man was. Do yourself a favor and go to a real mechanic shop. read more

My coworker had his oil changed at this location last week. I helped him get his car towed the same day. They drained it, changed the oil filter, but DID NOT ADD OIL!!!! Seems like an important piece. To their credit, they said they would cover the repair cost. Hopefully that's true, but as I listened to the area manager (Quincey) call for his "investigation", he seemed like a grade A asshole who will try to worm their way out of responsibility. Although we were told they reviewed film and confirmed that oil was never added, I'm sure this guy has advised they destroy the evidence. It's not that I don't trust this location or necessarily the people who run it (because they seemed honest and we're training someone new), but I am now 100% out on Valvoline after speaking to Quincey and will ensure that I do everything possible to influence no one ever use Valvoline in any capacity. If these are the types of people in higher up management positions, I'll walk or ride the bus before I give this company anymore of my money. I won't even buy their oil from autozone to use in my at home oil changes anymore. Valvoline is dead to me. Sorry I have to blow up this location on account of that clown, but I obviously feel pretty passionately about this. Just go to Cafe de Lube in Kenosha and avoid the off chance that you have to deal with this area manager. read more

They charged a lot and I found no oil in my car! Called to let them know and they said they reviewed the "video" of the tech who put in the oil and he did everything right. Asked if they could send me a link or send me the video. Female told me it was "confidential". My car is smoking without oil and had an awful smell so I checked it and found no oil in there. Never had so many problems with oil changes before. When I did add oil it runs right through and out. They didn't close the place they drained the oil from or didn't install the oil filter correctly. Great place! Very fast and efficient. Answered any questions I had and alerted me to issues with our vehicle which I knew there was problem due to sounds. Told me to go the auto store and replace it... Hands down best place in town! Very kind and helpful-go when they have the $10 off early bird special. To save some money. read more

I used to get my oil change there, but they are also an emission testing center and using them for that is so frustrating they have lost my other business. Their hours for emission testing are not even best effort, they just don't seem to actually care what they posted for hours. read more

I cannot recommend this place at all. First thing they do is try and sell you over priced air and cabin filters. $40.00 for a cabin filter is crazy. The worst thing they did is email me a coupon for a $19.99 oil change and then tried to up charge me for extra oil and a larger oil filter. If you are not going to honor your own coupons, DON'T SEND THEM! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for an oil change....no stars. A much better place is Cafe de Lube! read more
