Big thankful shout out to Pete who went above and beyond to help me out ! After picking my 88 year old Mom up for a joy ride, I noticed my tire pressure gauge had gone way low on a rear tire. After pulling over i called tire stores in the area, they were all closed!!! I checked Valvoline oil because I have been taking our cars there for years. To my great joy, they were open. I drove in and told Pete about the tire. He was glad to help. Long story short, a huge box cutting blade was in the tire, Pete took the tire off, in the rain, put on the donut and Mom and I headed home. So grateful for Pete's kind spirit AND he never charged us a cent!!! Pete you are a great example of goodness in this mixed up world of ours Bless you. read more

Valvoline performed a routine oil change on one of our diesel trucks. After the oil change the technician could not get the truck to start back up. They towed our truck to Carolina Diesel. who then replaced the small and large fuel pump and returned it to Valvoline to again preform the oil change. We then had to tow it to Pep Boys and it was discovered that the technician had over filled the oil triggering a safety sensor which shuts the truck off. They said the fuel pumps went out on the first oil change because their technician did not properly prime the lines. The improper workmanship from Valvoline cost us over $5,000 and they refuse to admit fault. Save yourself the trouble and money, go to a different shop. read more

This Valvoline's team were messing about during our entire oil change. They claimed it to be under 15 minutes when it in fact took 40 before we were able to go. They weren't very busy but were all gathered around a mustang chatting about it as that man waited too. They didn't begin to drain our oil until the 20 minute mark and once they checked it after filling it was well over the two markers. read more

I was in having my ac system evacuated for repair at home. A woman came in to question a charge on her bill she didn't originally notice. She was charged $80 to have her serpentine belt replaced even though she brought her own belt. She asked if the belt replacement came with a new belt or was it extra. He said it came with the service. Then why is it the same price if I bring my own? That is just our price he said. She asked for the belt she should have got, well that's easier said then done, I'd have to order one. She left, the guy that did the service was pissed because he knows that it was a terrible way to treat a customer. read more

New ownership, used to be checker lube. Price went up from $40 to $60 for a basic oil change. It took three times as long and they tried to sell me a battery as well as change all my air filters. They didn't vacuum the car or reset the maintenance reminder and you no longer get a complementary car wash. In my opinion this place is a rip off. read more

Terrible company! They hire techs that do not know what they are doing. I asked a tech to lube my ball joints. He then proceeded to smear grease on the outside of the boot instead of putting it on the fitting. I was flabbergasted. They usually get rid of the techs and managers who actually know what they are doing. How many transmissions doe this company have to blow up to understand that the tech are poorly trained? read more
