My husband and I were married here during the early days of COVID in 2020, and it has remained our spiritual home ever since. Not to mention this is also my husbands' parish when he was growing up, this is why we chose for us to get married here. We attend Sunday Mass regularly and are very involved here, including leading RCIA. Everyone we've met and guided through RCIA has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and eager to grow in faith. This church truly embodies a loving and supportive community. We celebrate all major holidays and special occasions here--Easter, Christmas, birthdays, and more. Saint Margaret Mary is not just a church to us; it's a place where we serve, grow, and feel deeply connected. We are grateful to God for this beautiful parish and community.

I was also surprised by how casually some people were dressed, including shorts, Crocs, and even house shoes. When entering Our Lord's house, I believe we should make an effort to dress and conduct ourselves with reverence. There were also about six parioshoners distributing the Holy Eucharist, and I noticed the vast majority of people received Communion in the hand. I personally did not receive the Eucharist because I had not been to Confession and was conscious of being in a state of sin. Yet nearly everyone else received. Perhaps this parish is full of saints and I was the odd man out, but it left me wondering whether the traditional understanding of properly preparing ourselves to receive Our Lord in the Eucharist is being emphasized enough. The church itself is beautiful, but the liturgy, in my experience, was sadly lacking in the Catholic tradition and reverence I was hoping to find.

I attended this school growing up and had many memorable experiences. From the teachers to the events, all have been widely positive. The school actively tries to get its students involved in the community. As part of the Torrance Unified School District (TUSD), the school works under a board of trusted advisors and directors. The parents find themselves actively involved with the board and administration of the district and school.

The staff were supportive all around - for academic and spiritual needs. They provided well-organized academic instruction, good moral and character development, positive adult mentors, and Biblical Christian instruction. Both daughters found good friends and enjoyed the family atmosphere of Pac Lu. As a family with cross-cultural experience, we really appreciated the diversity of Pac Lu within a small student and faculty. Across the board, the admin and teaching staff were dedicated and caring. They daily went above and beyond their work hours in their efforts to support students and provide in-classroom opportunities as well as extracurricular activities. We were with PacLu during the pandemic and PacLu was ahead of the curve in figuring out how to transition to online teaching as well as prepare for a safe return to in-person instruction. When my girls and I talked to friends at other schools, we realized that Pac Lu was more organized and efficient than most other schools at that time. True, the school is small. The positive side of that is that parents are able to easily keep in touch with the school and student progress through open communication with admin and staff as well as an excellent online grading and report system. The downside is that activities are limited with a small student body. However, they have a spacious enough campus with lots of outdoor recreation areas as well as cool resources such as a 3D printer, maker/tinker space, a large computer lab and art classroom. Their tuition is very affordable (compared to the other South Bay private Christian schools) and we were happy to fulfill more than the requested amount of parent volunteer hours to support the school. Pac Lu's goal is to mentor students from 6th-12th grade and they love when families will stay for the long run. Even though our family couldn't stay for the long run, but we still hold Pac Lu and the people we met there very dear in our hearts.

Hcs has been so helpful with his transition in all the isolation that was caused but he has done very well here and is back for the fall as a 7th grader . I loved this school so much and all the teachers , principal & staff here is amazing that I even put my other son which entered 1st grade and has been loving it . I also added them both to the summer camp , which they really enjoyed . My friends kids are now attending here as well since i let them know about this amazing school. I wish I know about this school Sooner , it's small but big hearts are running this school and they truly cares about your children . A staff member gripped my child's arm and refused to let go. I'll do my best to rewrite the text more clearly: The behavior I witnessed was utterly unacceptable. I strongly suggest that you go to another place to have your children. The staff at this location was unprofessional rude, and seemed to be taking out their bad days on everyone. Staff retraining is needed. Additionally, it's concerning to see that there are individuals on staff who display racist behavior. Everyone must be treated with the same level of respect, regardless of their skin color or ethnicity.
