She was a…read morelittle late from running over with another session but the kindness and patience she showed in spending extra time with this sweet mother only 2 weeks postpartum made me quickly forget. She shared that she had really developed as a photographer using it as a form of therapy after facing postpartum depression. My respect for her grew tremendously when she shared that so openly after only knowing me for a short while. During the session she was mentoring a fellow photographer, "a way to pay it forward" - and again, I think this speaks volumes about her character. Her studio was gorgeous - tons of natural light with large windows and comfy chairs. I loved that it didn't take a ton of props and "glamour shot" type set up to get started. I think too many times people go over the top with child photography but Corey kept it simple and made sure our daughter was having fun. This in turn really captured her in a way that showed who she is - beautiful inside, too. In terms of Corey's demeanor and work - she was incredibly sweet, patient, patient, professional, and great with our little one. She even shared some snacks to get her "camera ready." I had tons of ridiculous questions he was happy to answer. I was truly the client from hell, and even arrived late to my appointment, and Neil was still super friendly, calm and accommodating. My little son is 9 months old and very weary of strangers and their homes, but Neil had him engaged and laughing. We have wonderful pictures. Even my husband admitted it was a great idea to have a portrait session and he loved the results. We had our session the night before thanksgiving, and the prints were ready the following Monday. Had it not been for the Holiday they probably would have been ready even sooner believe it or not. Neil even offered to hand deliver to CD to us! You will get the most bang for your buck with Neil.
