His portfolio blew everyone else's out of the water. His photos are vibrant, versatile, and brimming with personality. I scheduled an appointment with him and from our consultation I knew it would be a great experience. He was interested in knowing about me and what I wanted not only from my pictures, but from my career. He was interested in getting me the best shots to achieve my personal goals. Our shoot was immensely enjoyable. Johnny knows exactly how to put clients at ease and is a wonderful conversationalist; he was able to guide me as a novice model without being condescending or pushy. He has done a good deal of acting himself, so he understands how to get effective pictures out of actors. He gave me objectives to work with as he shot, which is brilliant. When it came to delivering the photos, he was incredibly quick. I have never gotten headshots back in less than 3 days. He has also been a reliable source to me since for any residual needs: prints, retouching, replacement discs, etc. He is someone I would recommend (and have recommended) to absolutely everyone. Others have mentioned his affordability, and though that is a huge benefit, it is not the reason that he is one of the top headshot photographers in Chicago. His work is remarkable in every respect.

Evan and his helper were really nice and patient when it came to helping my hair get in the place I wanted it. He was able to show me a live picture in order to get feedback and readjust. I wish we had more options for lighter backgrounds but I'm unsure if this was out of Evan's hands because it was a student bundle deal. When I got the picture back, I was delighted that Evan fixed my highlights in order to get my hair one color. However, I wanted some changes to the photoshop he did. I emailed him in the morning and he replied within an hour with the changes I requested already made! Overall, a great experience.
