Yes they are all nice people, but I think someone who is the Pastor of a church should be more transparent. I know of at least THREE other person(s) who were also double or over charged and waited an extra month or extra time. If you use their services get it written in stone with an agreement that any extra charges must be discussed in advance....that is my advice....or just go somewhere else. Too bad. I did not expect such treatment. I am shocked. I can not imagine the damage this sort of behavior could do to families and individuals who are living on the poverty line. For someone who has lived and worked in this community for 60ish years one would think they cared more about these people. It is as simple as keeping your word or getting consent prior to doing more work on a vehicle that will cost more money. A responsible business owner must be transparent and trustworthy. Also please refer to this Montana statute for information on laws for auto repair shops: 23.19.202 REPAIRS, ESTIMATES, AND INVOICES. It very clearly states you can only be charged $25 or 10% more than you are quoted. Get your quote in writing and report it if they violate the law. If this has already happened to you know that you have rights. Start with a claim to the Better Business Bureau and try to get resolution that way. After 4 attempts at resolution via email and phone the owner Bill agree to a meeting. The meeting was recorded with consent by all parties. I was astounded at the result. Not only did he not make it right according to the law but he exploded at the end. The owner rolled his eyes at the mention of the Montana Law as I read it. I kept trying to get him to understand his behavior was illegal and he would not have it. He belittled me as a woman and tried to separate my husband and I in the conversation saying I had no part in this or say. As Christians and a married couple we very much decide things together and look for resolutions together. It was the craziest meeting I have ever been in. This man who is the Pastor of a church in town was yelling at me by the end screaming "I am old enough to be your Father!" ....like that gave him a right to break his word to us and others as well as the law? like that gave him a right to belittle me as a woman? He threatened me and told me he would call every church in town and every auto shop and say bad things about me because of this. It was the weirdest meeting I have ever had. I have never seen such disregard for legal boundaries. At one point he even said it is the responsibility of the customer to call and ask him if the price has changed or labor increased - not his. I am pretty sure that burden falls on a business owner. Mind you we spoke weekly and nothing was ever disclosed. If I were you I would go elsewhere. Save yourself some serious confusion and drama - get your vehicle completed faster - and save some money. Yikes.

I had taken my 4Runner into Carnahans and told them I wanted the entire coolant system gone through and changed unless it looked like it was performing like new. Radiator, hoses, hose clips, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, flywheels, I said everything. They came back saying everything was good except the water pump and thermostat. After they did that the heater core needed changing, no problem, that's what it needs. After they do what they do they call me at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon to pick it up. I do and drive it three blocks away and park it for a few hours. As soon as I start it up it starts pouring out all the coolant so I'm stranded outside after work in the -5 degree weather with my vehicle that had just spent two weeks in the shop. Called Monday morning at 8 and they said they can't get me in but if they get a cancellation they'll give me a call. This company clearly did not want my business. They were not willing to fix the issues their work caused. Will update if/when I hear from them.

The clamps were not tightened down and so the radiator hoses and transmission hoses burst off and blew up through the front of the truck. It took me a month to get them to come out after missing/ no show for 5 different appointments. I paid for them to fix it again but he didn't test drive it and I got in and drove about two miles and then the engine light came on. I called and he met me in Kremlin and said that I needed an 02 sensor or two and he would do it the next week. And I was never able to get ahold of them again. And they pulled 5 no show no call. So I would not recommend them at all and on Google they have paid to erase all of their bad reviews, so they look like they are a great company. NOT!! The radiator replacement was $253. But when the hoses blew off the bill was $604. I can't believe it, and they never finished the job.

And did not test drive it. The first time I drive it I get about 6 miles before the engine light comes on and I get it to him and he says that I need one maybe two 02 sensors, but he will do that next week. then he changes his mind and says after he is paid for the other work. he was paid both bills in December and I have ne received any response again from either of them. they also had promised to come back last August to fix the manifold cover on my transmission and then no response either. then I finally got ahold of one and he said that I was firat on the list. And that list has been pushed back to sometime in the spring. they were friendly enough but they didn't fini the job right either time they worked on my vehicle which is broken down again, and never fixed the other one so I would not be stranded. am disabled and this has been horrible. I would not recommend David or Daniel too anyone that needs their vehicle up and running properly.
