There were close to 40 vendors that actually carried wonderful local produce, eggs, meat and baked goods. There are also vendors selling art and crafts. Several local restaurants had booths selling assorted street food, iced tea and lemon shake-ups. I left (wishing I had bought more) with several bags of produce including fresh corn. Prices were reasonable. The market is hopping with lots of people. There were a lot of dogs on leases enjoying their people. Expect short line at most vendors. The market featured a live musician and there was a group entertaining the kids with balloon creatures. There is plenty of parking just behind City Hall and across Washington Street. I highly recommend and will be back. This is the 5 star farmer's market that I've been looking for.

Saying she got what she deserved. My understanding is the girl got in trouble with the boss and as a Punishment he made her unload watermelons basically humiliated her in front of her coworkers. One girl was heard saying let's see what her blood pressure is now started laughing. I guess people never leave high school!! When I was leaving the poor girl looked like she was about to pass out her face was beet red. So my takeaway is if someone has medical problems (just going by what I heard them girls say) we punish them?! Make that make sense plz. I also don't know how the coworkers can work in a place that feels like an oven. I won't be back and I will be letting people know what I saw. I will not eat somewhere where the employees get treated bad. DO BETTER!!!!

There is a wide selection of delicious local foods at excellent prices, including fruits, vegetables, meats, maple syrup, honey, baked goods, and jam preserves. Some vendors sell soaps, aprons, baskets, hand-carved spoons, and other specialty items. A few vendors sell potted plants and fresh cut flowers. There is free coffee. Everyone is very friendly. There's a tent for folk music jammers - you can join in if you're into that, or just enjoy the free music. The book tent gives a free book to kids, and they can play on the wonderful playground just feet away. The playground has 4 slides, swings, a merry-go-round, toys to sit on and ride, monkey bars, and lots of other fun equipment to climb on. This farmer's market is definitely worth checking out if you live in the area. I recommend buying some fresh peaches or a local watermelon or cantaloupe.

This market is within walking distance of the county courthouse in Franklin. It's open Saturdays 8 am - noon.

It's right across from the fire station (kids love fire trucks), in the church parking lot. Dogs aren't allowed so bring a friend to hold her while you shop. You can eat your breakfast together at one of the tables right there at the church outside of the Farmers Market. Parking is available on the street or across the street at another church. It's a great place to hangout for a bit, let the kids explore, eats farm fresh, literally, breakfast, get some great goodies for the week, and RELAX (it's the weekend). This Farmers Market is large enough to give you everything you need or want, and small enough to walk around and still keep an eye on your kids or quickly find a friend to compare your treasures. I love the breakfast omelet, the music is always good and sometimes really, really good. And the people are always friendly and fun. I walk there, but it is worth the drive, and then you can walk around a bit!
