Massive regrets with my decision to get a lash lift and tint…read more I went in for a patch test, I had never had any eyelash treatment before, in earnest I asked "what could go wrong?" and the girl shook her head and said "nothing".. I think we all know there can be risks, so it would've been helpful to have this explained. I briefly spoke with a different lady who was going to do my treatment 3 days later and she did not ask any questions or take a look at the lashes (I.e consultation). She also was very persistent that I try a new product, I said several times I'd rather stick with the one that was tried and tested over time, especially as I'd never had anything done before. It actually felt uncomfortable that she kept insisting. I should have walked away then. I got patch tested for both, no problems. The day of the appointment she again insisted that I try the new product, despite me saying that I couldn't find much online in terms of reviews of the new one and wanting to stick with the existing one etc, then she tried to "blind me with science" as to why the new product was the one to use. I showed her some photos of where the new product had been used (taken from social media) and said I wasn't impressed. She said neither was she but it's to do with the technician and hers would not look like that. Again, I felt very pressured, she told me she had used it 4 or 5 times and was going to be teaching the trainers (hence why she needed to get her numbers up). I relented in the end. In discussing how I wanted it to look I said that I had seen some generic reviews online where they had curled too much back into a "C", and that I did not want this but to achieve a dramatic a look as possible without it going that far. I asked her for her opinion and said I don't really know what's best, but to do what she thinks would look the best. Procedure itself- this was really uncomfortable and it felt very rough. I did ask "is it supposed to sting?" and said my right eye was particularly bad, and she blamed me for scrunching eyes up (which I had not) and she then wiped it (which felt like eye was being sliced). It felt like she was pulling and tugging at my eye lashes quite hard, but I was not sure if that was normal or not. She asked if it felt better after wiping and I said um not really. Afterwards with the final look, I thought they looked a bit over curled, she said that next time she would do less lift, and she also said it was good they used the new product as the old one may have been too strong, and I have very fine lashes (good observation to make post treatment)!! I asked her if she was happy and she said she was. As quite a non-assertive person I said they were nice. As I was about to leave she wiped some dermologica nourishing serum over my eye and then instructed me to do it as well, the lashes on the inner left eye were clumped together and bending back. I said they were clumped and she said "oh remember, that was from where your eye was watering wasn't it" (it was the right eye that had been stinging, but ok). I left the place, thinking I could perhaps comb them through and separate, I just wanted to get out of there! All evening my eyes have been stinging especially the right one, I took an anti-histamine to see if it would help. Now on the morning after both eye lids are swollen, but especially the right one. The lashes look teeny tiny and have shrunk to less than they were before treatment. The inner lashes which are the most delicate are absolutely ruined. I'm very concerned the product was not removed properly. Unfortunately they are closed for 2 days now for bank holiday so I cannot speak to them about this. Overall, I'm absolutely gutted. I highly regret getting it done. Always follow your gut instincts, I wish I had.

I spoke Keith who put my mind at rest and booked an appointment with Dr Fiammetta Ugolini. I love my new Lips!!! My face looks refreshed with one Botox treatment. Dr Ugolini is a Breast Surgeon for NHS and her professionalism shows. My whole experience was Fab. I am very pleased with my treatment. Will defiantly go back

The premises are small and simply decorated with two treatment rooms. I was excited to see a beautician's withing walking distance of my flat so went along for some waxing. I had the complete attention of the beautician but I have to say that I wasn't very impressed with the wax- they left areas still covered in hair and didn't treat my skin to prevent rashes or ingrowing hair. It was all very rushed and painful- no effort to soothe the pain. It is certainly convenient for locals and perhaps the other treatments are better but I won't be returning for a wax!

I love that it is a 5 minute walk from home and the very personal service i get too. I read the review above, i've had my legs waxed too and it wasn't painful (well no more than i should be!) and was definitely had wax removal & aftercare. Wherever i've been there has always been a bit of wax remaining, including in the really expensive places in town, so maybe that person just had an off day. I would hate to think someone wouldn't go because of the above review.

After I finished the treatment, I got allergy issues on my face, the skin around my eyes got red, inflamed and swollen. (shown as photos) This is terrible, I can't even open my eyes! Also, I can't work because of the allergy issues on my face. Then I sent a serval of emails and just ask for a response or a reason, but they just ignore me and give no response till now! The décor is plush but understated, in shades of cream and deep plum, with the furniture in the treatment rooms in dark wood. The waiting area has a comfortable sofa with those expensive coffee table travel books for you to browse while you wait, which adds to the sensation of luxury. My massage was OK, to be honest I would have preferred a slightly stronger pressure, and its quality was really put into context by an excellent massage that I had elsewhere recently. It's not especially cheap (£45 for an hour's full body massage), but then, not that many places are. It's clear however that at Body and Soul you do pay for the atmosphere of the place, as well as the treatment.

They have been reported to Trading Standards and I am seeking legal action. On 9/10/21 I went to my 5th session of laser hair removal at the clinic. I had never had any issues previously at this clinic or at other clinics. This time the clinician was running 20 minutes late for my session and was in a rush. She started to use a new machine (with gel that I had never used before). When I enquired about the new machine she said it was quicker and less painful. She did not test this new machine on my skin. It was, however, excruciatingly painful and I was in a lot of pain for the whole day, requiring painkillers. The following morning I found that there were burn marks all over both my legs. When I sent photos to the clinic they told me that they were not burns but mild irritation. I visited my GP who confirmed that they were burns and prescribed me a cream. 4 months later I have unsightly scars on both my legs secondary to these burns. I have taken it up with a no-win-no-fee claim who unfortunately is having difficulty in finding the company or individual behind the clinic in order to sue. Initially, letters were 'Returned to Sender.' I then hand delivered the letter and could see that the clinic is still open and functioning as normal. They finally responded to my solicitor's email saying that they changed management the month following the incident and do not have the details of the previous management and that they would regard any further attempts to contact them as harassment. I do not regard this as a safe place for customers to go. Not only did they burn me, but they failed to take my complaint seriously or recognise that I had been burned. I might add that I have a dark skin tone so burns may appear slightly different than on white skin - so I do view this as a racial issue as well. I was not able to complete my course and they have not refunded me any money. I do not believe they have the competence to be using such equipment or to deal with the risk and complications involved with that equipment. I do not feel that other customers (particularly those of darker skin tone) are safe in going to this clinic. I might add that I am a practicing doctor myself and their conduct really does concern me greatly. I also feel that their subsequent conduct in trying to dodge the legal process has been particularly appalling. I have reported them to Trading Standards.
