First of all, since my initial post we had Fiddler replace our garage roof. $2000 and maybe an afternoon? Bam. You'd never have known they were there except that the new roof was lovely. Second, last year we'd been experiencing a critter home invasion - well, not really, but we had raccoons living in our soffits (I think that is what they're called). There were a couple holes made and John and another guy came by within a day or so and got them sealed up again (no raccoons were harmed!) at NO CHARGE. This is not the first time they've done "small" favors just gratis. I mean. Anyway, when the time comes we will absolutely have Fiddler roofing the house. And I tell anyone I know who mentions needing roofing. John, thank you and your staff for being truly wonderful businesspeople.

I received an estimate from another company last year which was about $5-6,000 higher than what I was seeing online for this area. So this year, I called AVA. Adam came over, looked at everything and gave me an estimate that was right on the money. He explained everything - how much gutter I would need, how many downspouts, special color options, installation - everything. I received the estimate the next day and could not believe what a good price they gave me. The job was completed the following week The house looks beautiful - and I now have new gutters that exactly match the house trim, large enough to handle the weather the house gets `AND GUTTER GUARDS!!!! The installers were so professional - meticulously neat and efficient. We even had a neighbor from down the road stop and ask the installers and how to get an estimate for his own house. Ava had to come back to fix the issues we (as homeowners) uncovered, like: -used finishing nails instead of roofing nails in high wind areas -not tarring over exposed nails -had rippling of shingles in the back of the house -ridge vent didn't get added to the full roof -broke a beam and originally used a 2x4 on one side, didn't even notify me that this happened. -didn't cut soffits where they were supposed to -put feet through our ceiling in 2 areas and I discovered it on my own They fixed all these things properly and quickly, but only after I called to explain the same sub contractors they sent back originally, didn't do a good job fixing some of them. So then I asked for their actual internal installers to come out and fix. When they did that (sent Billy), the craftsmanship was much better. Now, 4 months after installation, my brand new bathroom vents are blowing air back in and not as strong anymore. We discover it's because of the way they installed the the roof vents. The grates are pushing up against the opening so they can't open fully. I'm beyond frustrated that poor installation caused all these issues to appear! Although Ava has come out each time, if I was an uneducated home owner, I would not necessarily be able to find these issues and push to get them fixed. If you choose to use them, make sure it's not a subcontractor doing the work and that they are using their internal team.

Look no further if you need gutter repair. And I'll go out on a limb and guess that their gutter cleaning is just as high quality -- I'll be switching our gutter cleaning to them in the Spring & Fall, based on how well they helped us with our repairs. So here's the sitch -- we'd just had our gutters cleaned and the service provider mentioned our gutters in the back were sagging which meant water wasn't draining, so they needed repair. Based on great reviews online for Catalino, I called for an estimate -- which was provided in about 2 days (quick considering it's Winter, many people needed their gutters cleaned after an early Fall snow which meant that every gutter company was backed-up with cleaning and calls for repairs, like mine). The price seemed reasonable, so we proceeded. Not only were they able to fill our repair needs FAR sooner than anticipated, the communication was TRULY exceptionally good, and then they were able to fix some very unanticipated repairs when they uncovered that our fascia boards (what the gutters hook onto) were completely rotten. In summary, they kept exactly to the revised quote that included more repairs than anticipated, the pricing was VERY reasonable, their timeline was to the "T" with what they quoted, they did an extraordinary job of cleaning up behind themselves, and were friendly and offered superior communication throughout.
