INFECTION FROM WAXING. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more I've been regularly getting Brazilian waxes over five years now and have never experienced issues with any salons until my first (and last) appointment at Radiance. I went for a wax the day before my holiday and quickly developed symptoms following the appointment. I ended up at an emergency doctor on the first night of my holiday, whose diagnosis was a bacterial infection caused by the waxing. I immediately contacted Radiance to inform them of my situation. They dismissed the diagnosis, claiming it to be a mere allergic reaction to their honey wax. Although I have incurred high medical costs and a ruined holiday, the worst part of this experience was having been made to feel at fault and completely disrespected by the customer service team at Radiance. I had expected an apology at most, but instead received rude, contemptuous responses. I resorted to seeking advice from my old salon, who were able to provide reassurance which Radiance made no effort to do. I have never been mistreated like this by any salon, let alone by any organisation in the customer service industry.

There is also a loyalty scheme in which you can build you points to take off treatments, or build up for a special occasion. There are vouchers that you can buy, so don't forget to tell your other half, who "Nevers know what to get you". It has recently been extended and the refurbishment is a must see. The livery and top class style draws you in. It also has car parking spaces which is a bonus for the area. There are also 2 new hair stylists at the Spa, who are really easy to talk to. The advice I got on my styling has been a real boost, and has given me confidence. Please go to the website for the massive range of procedures and options open to you, you will not be disappointed. I could list them here but it would take ages. This establishment is worth the 5 star rating I have given it. So what are you waiting for, give it a go!

First up, there actually isn't too much bad about this Boots, mainly good and great. It's absolutely huge, it would remind you of a warehouse - because it's so huge it stocks almost everything you can find on their website. You have all the usuals as well as an electrical section. This Boots also has a large aftershave/perfume and specialised make up section with the major big brands being represented (Clarins etc). There's a few tills so you won't wait too long and as with most high street chains they are happy to accept credit and debit cards, failing that there's an ATM outside. The parking situation here is great if you can get a space - there's a huge free car park at this complex but it is always busy!

By far the best boots store to go to! It is also one of the biggest!…read more The main reason I come here is to purchase makeup! They have an Estée Lauder, clarins, Lancôme and no7 counter here! But the most exciting part for me is that they stock nyx makeup which is an American drug store brand which is amazing! They have a high range of hair products and skin care products! In regards to Health and beauty I would be shocked if you didn't find what you were looking for here! I could spend over an hour browsing through this store!

A great salon tucked away above the main garage on O'Neil road in Newtownabbey. I don't think many…read morepeople even realise this salon is even here! I have been coming here now on and off over a year or so. The main and only reason has been, to use there fantastic sunbeds. There are 2 lie down and 2 stand up ones available, so usually no wait. I had however decided to treat myself to some nails so I pre booked the appointment last week to ensure I got a time that suits. I always found the girls a little bit Stand offish previously but after today it was a completely different story. Once I got chatting to them, they where fantastic and I really enjoyed the chat. I felt very at home and relaxed. I opted for Acrylic extentions and asked for them not to be too long as it's been a while since last having them. I am really happy with the finished result and to be honest and am quite picky when it comes to my nails. Interested now to see how they last so will update on that in a couple of weeks! Good points- The salon feels spacious and open with beautiful decor. Lots of choices of nail colours on offer. Great girls and brilliant craic. They also have a good range of beauty and skin care treatments on offer at fairly reasonable prices. Bad points-One of my pet hates about any personal service though is not being introduced! I could not tell you the name of the girl that did my nails because she didn't tell me her name. Usually with most beauty salons a tea/coffee is usually offered which wasn't. There is a flight of stairs into the salon so it would not suit someone who is wheelchair bound or struggles with stairs. I have however already booked my next appointment as I was so happy with my nails and the overall experience.

Their products are…read moreamazing, they can be pricey depending on the item you're after but while you're in the store you're always offered the best customer service and you can try any of the lovely testers, you might even get some free samples to try them out (If you're not offered, just ask!) The staff know everything about their products (especially Heather) they all seem really commited to the up keep and essence of the shop. My all time favourite product of theirs is the hand cream which, 100% honestly, is like a miracle cream, no lie, after hardly any use of it I had the softest most baby like hands ever. (Something to do with shea butter I'm told) Ah it's so great. That's only their hand cream, they sell loads of simply amazing products in a heavenly serene atmosphere. Through research of the shop I've learnt two really impressive things, first that they use Braille labelling to make their products accessible to visually impaired people and second since 2005 they have created 100% certified-organic products on a regular basis. I'm impressed, I really am. As I say, divine!

I was just reflecting grumpily on the present unfeasibility of such frippery when I found myself outside L'Occitane, which actually cheered me up a little. It's a lovely shop selling beauty products from this company that specialises in products originating from Provence and even if there is a marketing ploy at work here who cares? The fragrances of rose, lavender, lemon are wonderfully fresh and natural. Although it's expensive - at the very least, £7.00 will get you a fabulous bar of lemon or lavender soap - I think you will get what you pay for. There is also a range of skincare items and a skin consultation available in house which appeals a lot more than a department store equivalent. The shop is beautifully presented and laid out, a delightful capsule of luxury laced with a light touch of environmental responsibility behind the company's plant based products.
