My first appointment left a lot to be desired. The appointment was rushed, impersonal and was more painful than I had experienced in the past. I received no explanation about what they were doing and why. I was left next to patients only separated by a hospital sheet, hearing their conversations which made it very hard to relax. I was told to return that very week. When I returned, again I was treated like a number, rushed in and rushed out. That time it hurt, a lot! I am tolerant to pain but when I told him he just kept saying "big mosquito" instead of replacing the needle! The receptionist asked me to return again in the same week. Finally I explained that it was too much and I only have so much insurance. She gave me a dirty look and said fine. She then proceeded to add me to the next week! I will never return to this place. Eating healthy has helped me a lot for a while and I started to feel better. However once in a while, I would still go out with friends and eat junk food. That's when my heartburn and acid reflux came back. So I found Dr Qian's clinic and she did acupuncture on me for about a couple of weeks and the heartburn and acid reflux had stopped. After 3 days of driving and meeting I was in excruciating pain. I called the clinic (which is btw super nice and clean). Dr Quian waited for me to arrive and gave me one of the best acupuncture session I ever had. She had cupping to it and I was already relieved. But I have been dying to get a massage. With some research online I was able to find Spa-Mobile. Basically they bring the spa to your home. You simply go on there website, pick the therapist you like to have and pick a time. The price is not much more that a massage you would get at a spa. They also provide insurance receipts. Now let me tell you about my experience. After I booked online, I received an email explaining all the safety precautions they take and how the procedure the day of the massage will look like. Then once they are on their way to your house they sent you a text message with a link that allows you to track where they are exactly. Once they get to your place, they set-up where you tell them to. The massage table is very professional. They set it up, put a heat blanket then put the sheets on top. Once every thing is set up, they sit with you and go through a questionnaire about your health and which areas you want the massage to be concentrated on. Then she goes to the bathroom to wash her hands while you lay on the table. My therapist was Claudia, and she went over and beyond. She brought white sage to clarify the room, she also asked me what type of music I like, which she then played on the IPad she had. Last but not least, she brought fresh cucumbers which she placed on my eyes. Once it was over she again went to wash her hands while i put ob my robe. (Benefits of being at home). She gave me her card and asked for me to pay via e-transfer. Later that nice, she sent me the receipt and the insurance paper. I will never go to a spa for a massage as this was the best massage experience I have ever had. Keep in mind before the pandemic i use to have 5-6 massages per year. I was able to call in and make an appointment for a 1-hour massage on the same day. I came in and had an excellent massage! My massage therapist I believe was Eduardo! He was a Mexican man, really kind and helpful. He heard what was bothering me, gave the massage, and provided recommendations at the end! He could tell I work on the computer and recommended more massages for my back/shoulder area - which was really tense! I love the massage I got by lying on my side and getting my shoulder/neck area worked on - I thought that was a unique technique and felt really good! I've had a lot of massages and this move has not been bust out many times before lol. They offered tea and bathroom before the massage. The front desk and therapist spoke English. And they can provide insurance receipts for those with Canadian health insurance!
