I came here for the first time today, looked like a nice shop. The space is big and open with lots of racks of juice and a wide selection of devices to choose from. I have a eleaf trim mod that only goes up to 20w and I was looking for a larger tank to go with it. The guy at the counter suggested the tobeco super mini tank and said it should work fine with my device. I bought it, and tried it out and was unhappy to discover it leaked everywhere! I came back in and they said well maybe it was my device or my juice, and that it was "normal" to have juice go in your mouth when you inhale. Um no it's not, but ok then. So I asked for a return and store credit at the least. The guy went and talked to the manager and said sorry nothing we can do. So you sell me a faulty device, try and make up excuses why it doesn't function properly, and then just say sorry too bad? Shops could probably get away with this back in the day, but with so many vape shops around and so many online stores available, customers have too many options to shop at a store with such disregard for the customer. It's sad that a local business would rather lose a customer than even consider giving a partial refund of a measly $20. Is losing a new customer really worth $20 to this shop? What a bad way to run a business. Even if they had zero fault in this situation I would still expect them to try and work with me. We do not like "house mixed juice" but it's all they had and the guy was an interrupting, OVER THE TOP salesman who pressured us into trying it out along with adding extra items he claimed I needed for my mod. We spent almost triple the price we normally spend and the juice was horrendous with absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It took him 25-30 minutes trying both my boyfriend and my own debit cards multiple times. We knew we should have left but we were desperate and late to an appointment. We were literally sick to our stomachs with regret walking out to the car after doing business with them. We even went back and swapped out for a different flavor he claimed was the strongest and it was still garbage. Not even emergency backup juice worthy...I'm just letting you know that if you want to be pressured to overspend on unacceptable quality juice then go here. If not then stay away.

Yep, that's what happened to me over the weekend. When I noticed, I did a quick search and discovered Smoke Zone Smoke Shop just up the street from me. Located on the busy corner of High St. and 5th Ave., this smoke shop is currently off the beaten path due to construction, but provides nothing short of helpful, attentive service. Street parking doesn't exist in this area of the Short North right now, but here in a few months it should be available again. Until then, there's a small parking lot across the street, right next to BrewDog. I made the quick trek across the street, dodging construction workers and makeshift ramps to be greeted immediately. At a quick glance, I noticed they had what I needed but I browsed around for a minute too. They really offer everything you need if you're a smoker of any kind. From large glass bongs to vape pens and everything in between (yes, there's a lot in between), they've got it. Their prices are on par with what I've seen at other similar establishments too.
